The F.B.I. and law enforcement officials in Colorado were searching on Tuesday for a woman who they said had made threats in the Denver area and was armed and “extremely dangerous.” Security was tightened at schools across the region, with the threats coming just days ahead of the 20th anniversary of the Columbine High School shooting.

FBI agent Dean Phillips said in a press conference this even that Ms. Pais was considered a “credible threat to our community”.

Officials also released an image of Ms. Pais and described her as a white female, 18 years old, approximately 5’5″ in height, with brown hair. She was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, camouflage pants, and black boots. She was last seen in the foothills of Jefferson County.

Amy Meyer, a spokeswoman for the F.B.I. in Denver, said that Ms. Pais had presented “a threat related possibly to the schools.”

Please call the FBI tipline at (303) 630-6227 where your call will be answered immediately if you have seen this individual or have information on her whereabouts. Please do not approach her as she is considered armed and dangerous.
