The FBI has apparently killed Ibragim Todashev, a man with close ties to one of the Boston Bombing suspects who feared for his own life shortly before he supposedly went crazy and had to be taken down.

According to local reports that quoted officials, Todashev was being interviewed for possible connections to a triple murder that police suspect the Tsarnaev brothers were also involved in. As Todashev went to sign a confession, he instead lunged at the FBI agent who then had to shoot and kill him.

Wesh.com reported:

A special agent and two Massachusetts State Police troopers were interviewing the suspect regarding his connections to bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev and other extremists. The suspect, identified by the FBI as Ibragim Todashev, was originally cooperative, but he was shot after attacking the agent, the FBI said.

Investigators said Todashev confessed to the FBI that he played a role in a triple murder in 2011 in which three men were murdered in an apartment in Waltham, Mass. Their throats had been cut, and their bodies were covered with marijuana, authorities said. No suspects had been arrested in that case, but officials were investigating whether Tamerlan Tsarnaev, who knew at least one of the victims, was involved.

Investigators said Todashev attacked the agent with a knife as he was about to sign the confession.

Interestingly enough, another person who was also interviewed by the FBI that same day claims that Todashev had feared that the FBI was going to shoot him.

A friend of Todashev, Khusn Taramiv, said Todashev, 27, was being investigated for his connection to Tsarnaev because both had lived in Boston and were MMA fighters.

Taramiv claims he and Todashev were interviewed by the FBI for nearly three hours on Tuesday.

“(The FBI) took me and my friend, (Ibragim Todashev). They were talking to us, both of us, right? And they said they need him for a little more, for a couple more hours, and I left, and they told me they’re going to bring him back. They never brought him back,” Taramiv said.

“He felt inside he was going to get shot,” Taramiv said about Todashev. “I told him, ‘Everything is going to be fine, don’t worry about it.’ He said, ‘I have a really bad feeling.'”

Taramiv said he left the interview, and when he came back to the apartments, he found that there had been a shooting.

“I was completely shocked. I still can’t believe it, you know what I mean?” he said.

Although it is to early to tell whether or not this was the FBI once again tying up loose ends, this case remains very suspicious and will be under investigation in the days ahead.
