CNN made the decision to get up close and personal with the AR-15: they made up a completely new gun out of thin air. Let’s take a moment and meet the new “full semi-automatic AR.”

The person on CNN showing off the firearm, retired Lieutenant General Mark Hertling, seems to think there’s such a thing as a “full semi-automatic” AR-15. But the rest of us know better.

If you want to hear the AR-15 described as being capable of firing on “full semi-automatic” just watch the video above. But the Tweets are where the humor is. Twitter responded appropriately to this particular error.

You know, Kepe? Ditto…just…ditto. But there was plenty more humor over the false and nonsensical term used.

Of course, this is how it was meant, although it was incredibly misleading and may have actually melted a few snowflakes.

As we can all see, Twitter handled the situation appropriately. If you didn’t chuckle at that, let’s all take a walk down memory lane. At least a “full semi automatic” wasn’t as bad as this:

“This is a ghost gun. This right here has the ability with a 30 caliber clip to disperse with 30 bullets within half a second. Thirty magazine clip in half a second,” said Kevin de Leon (D-CA).
