Morton County Sheriff’s Department Facebook Page Removed Again After Being Called out on Number of Human Rights Violations

The official Morton County Sheriff’s Department Facebook page has been removed for the second time just after midnight on Monday morning, after countless visitors to the page were giving bad reviews for the department, highlighting that the department had been assaulting unarmed men, women and children with mace, batons, LRAD, high-powered water cannons, rubber bullets and even a concussion grenade which tore off Sophia Wilansky’s arm.

Could they have taken the page down due to impending legal action that they will face for their crimes against humanity? This is appears to be a likely possibility.

A Facebook group has emerged under the name “The Morton County Sheriff’s Department Lawsuit Initiative” with the stated goal of gathering evidence of criminal behavior by the department. Their mission statement reads:

This group is a gathering place for evidence and information about to which extend The Morton County Sheriff’s Department may have either broken law or ignored crime in regards of the DAPL Protests.

Please be respectful and factual. No conspiracy theories or fear based propaganda please, only stuff you believe could be used in court as evidence.

“Who protects the people from the police?” asked Sandi Andersen to a MCSD dispatcher on November 20 as she reported an assault with a water cannon and high-powered mace on unarmed people by the very officers from the dispatcher’s own department!

Hesitant to offer any sort of help to the eyewitness of an active crime by officers of his department, the dispatcher cuts Andersen off and says, “Ma’am—Ma’am, as I said, if there are police there, then that’s all— that’s all we would do.”

Andersen responded:

So—so, just tell me, who protects the people from the police? If the police are the ones doing the attacking on innocent, unarmed people and I’m supposed to be able to call you to protect them, and since the people that are there that you would call to protect them are the ones attacking, who do I call? Because I’m calling you for help—because that is what you are paid to do.

Paid for by Energy Transfer Partners, parent company to Dakota Access LLC, the DAPL is set to be embedded in a sacred burial ground at Standing Rock. This is the same area where DAPL security used attack dogs on peaceful people to intimidate protesters. Police snipers were also seen here peaking out of armored vehicles, aiming directly at unarmed protesters.

Water protectors have been brutalized by MCSD officers who are using the color of law to help Dakota Access LLC eviscerate the the 1851 treaty between the US and the Cheyenne, Sioux, Arapaho, Crow, Assiniboine, Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara nations.

Who is being protected? Who is being served?
