Harvard University in Massachusetts is on alert after unconfirmed reports that explosives had been placed in four buildings on the campus.

Harvard University in Massachusetts is on alert after unconfirmed reports that explosives had been placed in four buildings on the campus. Final exams which were underway at the college have been cancelled. In a statement issued to the press the University said:

“The Harvard University Police Department this morning received an unconfirmed report that explosives may have been placed in four buildings on campus: the Science Center, Thayer, Sever and Emerson Halls.”

The warnings, which were received by email are being investigated by both campus and state police. The threat is the latest in a whole string of incidents at schools and colleges this year.

One student remains in a coma after been shot at a Colorado school in recent days, the gunman, an 18 year old fellow student shot himself.
