Ebola Contraction through the Air?

If history can be used as a guide, the odds of a pandemic sweeping across the United States is long overdue. Certainly, the growing ineffectiveness of antibiotics will only exacerbate this phenomena.  There are but a handful of diseases that could infect a population to the point of a pandemic, and one such disease is making its way to our shores as I type this. Of course, as the title indicates, I am speaking about Ebola.

As far as I can tell, because the number varies, from 25% to 95% of the people infected with Ebola die. Scarier yet, the incubation period is such that a carrier could be in the same stadium, the same restaurant, or even in your same house, and you wouldn’t know it until it was well too late. Not fear mongering, just stating what should be, by now, obvious to anyone who follows news.  Generally, it is thought that contracting Ebola requires direct contact with an infected person.  But, one Michigan doc says, “Not so fast.”

Dr. James White has had a remarkable career in medicine. I encourage you to view his CV here.  He spent 14 years in the trenches of Detroit treating the homeless, and has treated about every disease in the books, including Leprosy. I invited Dr. White to be back on The Liberty Brothers Radio Show to discuss the growing concern of an Ebola outbreak in the United States. To the Doc’s trained mind, it seems like this Ebola strain is being spread by more than direct contact.  Hear Dr. White’s entire explanation by clicking the video below.
