Coming Civil Unrest? Department of Homeland Security Orders Another 21.6 Million Rounds of Ammo

The Department of Homeland Security has posted a solicitation for another 21.6 million rounds of ammunition, bringing the total amount of ammo recently purchased by the DHS to over 1.6 billion rounds.

That’s right, just as elements of the federal government, in conjunction with the corporate controlled media, move to limit or fully restrict private firearm ownership in America, homeland security is gearing up like never before.

The solicitation for the ammunition, supposedly to be used for training purposes, includes 100 quantities of 100,000 rounds of 9mm 115 grain jacketed hollow point bullets, 100 quantities of 100,000 rounds of pistol cartridge .40 caliber 165 Grain, jacketed hollow point bullets, and 40 quantities of 40,000 rounds of pistol cartridge 9mm ball bullets.

This order brings the total amount of ammunition purchased by homeland security and to be used within the United States to a staggering total that should send shivers down the spines of all free thinking Americans.

As noted by Paul Joseph Watson, “An approximation of how many rounds of ammunition the DHS has now secured over the last 10 months stands at around 1.625 billion.

In March 2012, ATK announced that they had agreed to provide the DHS with a maximum of 450 million bullets over four years, a story that prompted questions about why the feds were buying ammunition in such large quantities. In September last year, the federal agency purchased a further 200 million bullets.”

Many who have previously read reports on the DHS ammo buildup have claimed that these rounds are possibly being sent to soldiers overseas or somehow being used outside the country.

Sadly, the fact of the matter is that homeland security operates within the United States and could only be planning on using the over 1 billion rounds of ammunition within the country.

“To put that in perspective, during the height of active battle operations in Iraq, US soldiers used 5.5 million rounds of ammunition a month. Extrapolating the figures, the DHS has purchased enough bullets over the last 10 months to wage a full-scale war for almost 30 years,” noted Watson.

Over the last two years we have relentlessly reported on this DHS ammo buildup, with multiple reports going viral and other alternative media reports being linked on the Drudge Report which, in turn, caused the corporate media to actually cover the news.

Despite all the proof, the corporate media proceeded to only attack certain orders and purchases rather than discuss the issue overall. In other words, they covered for this startling homeland security ammo buildup.

As noted above, in March 2012 the DHS ordered up to 450 million rounds of .40 hollow point ammunition.

The U.S. government has also purchased all the following ammunition in addition to the 450 million rounds of .40 hollow point “anti-personnel” ammo:

• Over one million rounds of hollow-point .223 rifle ammo
• Over half a million rounds of non-hollow-point .223 rifle ammo
• 220,000 rounds of 12 gauge shotgun #7 ammo (target ammo)
• Over 200,000 rounds of 12 gauge shotgun #00 buckshot ammo (tactical anti-personnel ammo)
• 66,000 rounds of 12 gauge shotgun slugs (tactical anti-personnel, anti-vehicle rounds)
• Over two million rounds of hollow-point .357 Sig JPH (hollow-point) pistol ammo (anti-personnel)
• Over four million rounds of .40 S&W JPH (hollow-point) pistol ammo (anti-personnel)
• Over 60,000 rounds of .308 match grade anti-personnel sniper rounds (BTHP)
• Plus, hundreds of thousands of additional rounds of .38 special, .45 auto, 9mm, 7.62×39 (AK rifle) ammo, and others.

In early April 2012, trying to grasp the full extent of this buildup, we reported that in the last few years DHS had apparently ordered over 750 million rounds of .40 caliber hollow point ammo.

Not only have they purchased a plethora of ammunition, the DHS also recently put in an order for 7,000 full-auto AR15 variant military assault rifles which they labeled as personal defense weapons.

The Department of Homeland security has recently purchased 7000 full-auto AR-15 variants and in the bid these “assault” weapons were described as “Personal Defense Weapons.”

That’s right, in the hands of government agents (who happen to operate inside the United States) fully automatic rifles are called personal defense weapons while when in the hands of the average American citizens, a toned down semi automatic version of the same weapon is considered a dangerous assault rifle.

Clearly we are seeing a large-scale buildup to take on the American people at the exact same time as the people are being bombarded with propaganda and proposed laws which would limit their ability to defend themselves from criminals and, if it ever does come to that point, defend themselves against an out of control, tyrannical government.

Gun control for the people and more weapons and ammunition for homeland security is an absolute recipe for a full-scale American police state.
