BREAKING: Union Station in Washington, DC Evacuated After Shots Fired

Eyewitnesses report several gunshots were fired in the food court of Union Station, the main railway hub serving the US capital.

The Senate Sergeant-at-Arms is warning the public to avoid the area “due to police activity.”

Union Station is located a short distance north of the Capitol complex.

DC police are saying there is no active shooter situation.

Police may have one suspect in custody, according to a Fox News reporter on Capitol Hill.

However, the Washington Post is citing DC police that a security guard shot one person at the restaurant. There was no information about the victim.

Contrary to initial reports, the McDonald’s is not located at the food court, but rather along the main concourse where passengers wait to board the trains.
