Booker announces plan to Create a White House “Office of Reproductive Freedom”

Published on

In what could be seen as a desperate attempt to remain relevant in a field of nearly two dozen presidential contenders Cory Booker released a statement on Tuesday detailing the steps he will take if elected to “advance reproductive rights”.

According to Booker “Donald Trump and Mike Pence have led an all-out assault on women’s rights — and states across the country have followed. Anti-choice governors and lawmakers are relentless in their charge to chip away at abortion rights and are committed to bringing a case to the Supreme Court that would do away with Roe v. Wade for good.”

Additionally, Booker says that he will not wait for Congress to act. “On Day One, I will create a White House Office of Reproductive Freedom, charged with coordinating and affirmatively advancing abortion rights and access to reproductive health care across my Administration.”

Repeal of the Hyde Amendment is also on his list because “Abortion care is also health care.”

Booker is also in favor of forcing health care professionals to perform medical procedures that violate their beliefs. The fact that this essentially constitutes slavery seems to be lost on this man who has repeatedly called for slavery reparations.
