Boo! Student Suspended – and ARRESTED – for Using the Scary Word GUN

Here we go again…a young man in South Carolina has become the latest victim of zero-tolerance tyranny at school.

Alex Stone, a 16-year-old student at Summerville High School, was suspended AND arrested last week for…wait for it…

…writing about killing a neighbor’s pet dinosaur with a gun.

Stone explained what happened to Live5News:

Stone said he and his classmates were told in class to write a few sentences about themselves, and a “status” as if it was a Facebook page. Stone said in his “status” he wrote a fictional story that involved the words “gun” and “take care of business.”

“I killed my neighbor’s pet dinosaur, and, then, in the next status I said I bought the gun to take care of the business,” Stone said.

Stone’s teacher, whose name has not been released, notified school officials, and police were contacted on Tuesday.

Summerville police searched Stone’s book bag and locker on Tuesday.

Of course, a gun was not found.

But naturally, they had to find SOMETHING to arrest the kid for, right?

According to police, when Stone was asked by school officials about the comment written on the assignment, he became “very irate” and said it was a joke.

Maybe Stone, like many of us, realized exactly how ridiculous this whole incident is and decided to speak up about it?

But no – we can’t have that. There will be no questioning of authority in America!

The police report states that Stone “continued to be disruptive and was placed in handcuffs, and was told that he was being detained for disturbing schools.”

Stone, thankfully, is not taking this tyranny lightly and has hired a lawyer:

Attorney David Aylor, who is representing 16-year-old Alex Stone, said his client’s arrest over a creative writing assignment on Tuesday was “completely absurd,” and is seeking to appeal the suspension and “proceed with the legal issues of [Stone’s] arrest.”

“This is a perfect example of ‘political correctness’ that has exceeded the boundaries of common sense,” Aylor said in a statement released on Thursday. “Students were asked to write about themselves and a creative Facebook status update – just days into the new school year – and my client was arrested and suspended after a school assignment.”

Unfortunately, Stone isn’t the first student to be punished for using the word “gun” at school. In fact, students – some as young as five – have been suspended for what people with common sense would deem harmless activities or simple mischief.

Here’s a brief – and by all means NOT exhaustive – list of some victims of zero tolerance nonsense in schools:

• A middle school student with autism was suspended for a bomb drawing
• An 8 year-old was threatened with expulsion over drawings of a soldier, a ninja, and a Star Wars character – his father didn’t give the school a chance to decide the child’s fate and withdrew him
• A 12 year old was suspended for having a quarter-sized gun keychain
• A 7 year old was suspended for pointing a pencil at another student while making “gun noises”
• A 7 year old  was suspended for making a strawberry tart “gun”

Good grief. If anyone really finds any of those activities the least bit threatening, they need a reality check.

Here are some other examples of children being punished for ridiculous “offenses”:

• A high school senior  was suspended for hugging a teacher
• A first grader was suspended for kissing a girl on the hand
• Some college students were banned from handing out free copies of the Constitution
• A student was sent home for wearing a Duck Dynasty shirt because it “implied violence”

Some schools really want to control our children, and sometimes, even their parents:

• A California school district hired an outside company to spy on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube activities of 13,00o students
• A teacher had 4th grade students write “I am willing to give up some of my Constitutional rights in order to be safer or more secure”
• Middle school students were given an assignment that was filled with anti-Second Amendment propaganda
• A mother was arrested for forgetting to sign in when visiting her son – who has autism – at his elementary school to console him
• A “What is Government” assignment given to 4th graders in Illinois told students that “Government is like a nation’s family. Families take care of children and make sure they are safe, healthy and educated, and free to enjoy life.”
• Some high schools are banning backpacks and lockers, and are making students “register” to use the restrooms

And, perhaps, the most ridiculous story so far, which we reported yesterday:

High school senior Kendra Turner was suspended after saying “Bless you” to a classmate who sneezed. The teacher reportedly scolded the girl and said there would be no godly speaking in her class. Turner reminded the teacher that she has the Constitutional right to say “bless you”. For that, she was promptly rewarded with in-school suspension.

Oh, and we can’t forget the police state demo VERY disturbing and dangerous K9 “simulated drug raid demonstration” that was held at an Indiana school…during which an 11-year-0ld student was bitten by Max, a “K9 officer.”

Were any of these reasonable?

I’m going to respond to that question with a resounding NO.

Unfortunately, as Daisy Luther pointed out in her article Setting the Stage for Tyranny: Public Schools Deliberately Create a Culture of Fear, zero tolerance policies abound, and they teach children to have “an irrational fear of inanimate objects.”

The issue here is pretty clear.  The younger generation is being taught that the very sight of a gun or anything that could be related to a gun is a reason for fear.  That fear is cemented in the minds of children and parents when they are traumatized by the handling of the incidents.

Kids are getting in trouble for drawing pictures of guns. For having tools which are sharp. For wearing t-shirts with the word “gun” printed on them. For cutting their poor, defenseless food in the lunchroom. For biting a pastry into a shape that could either be a gun or the state of Florida.  Maybe we should outlaw maps of Florida because the shape of that state is “intimidating.”

What’s the agenda here?

I’m going to take a shot (pun intended) at answering that question.

Perhaps, just maybe, schools are preparing our precious children for a life under surveillance and government control.

Michael Snyder made a compelling case for this in his article Public Schools Are Preparing America’s Children for Life in a Police State, in which he tells of active shooter drills, RFID microchips, listening devices in classrooms, monitoring of students’ social media accounts, monitoring of students’ lunches to see what they are eating, ticking students for using “bad language” and surprise raids with police dogs and armed cops.

Tyrannical governments use propaganda to control the masses. Manipulation of words is a tool that is used to convince people to comply.
