Biden’s Boo Boo: Vice President Congratulates the Wrong Marty Walsh
Why does it not surprise me that the government can foul up something as simple as a telephone call? Mmmm, now let me think.
When Joe Biden called to congratulate Marty Walsh on becoming the new mayor of Boston he got a bit of a surprise…he had called the wrong Marty Walsh.
Mr. Walsh said that before he could explain the mix-up, Mr Biden launched into his congratulations, saying: “Marty, you did it, you son of a gun. You did it.”
Also on Tuesday night, the wrong Walsh received phone calls from several Democratic luminaries, including Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla., the chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee. (source)
