Joe Biden may have had a weak showing in Iowa last week, and the former vice president predicts he’ll also “probably take a hit” in the New Hampshire primary on Tuesday. (He came in 5th) But he’s so confident that the Democrats can beat Trump that he told “Morning Joe” he’d even put his money on the Walt Disney cartoon icon to take back the White House.
When asked whether he agreed that if Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders becomes the nominee that the Democrats will lose the presidential election, Biden had this to say.
“I refuse to suggest any Democrat can lose. I think we could run Mickey Mouse against this president and have a shot.”

He added that the 2020 presidential race is a “marathon,” and “I don’t think anybody has predicted much of anything about who’s going to win nominations in the recent past very accurately.”
As of Tuesday morning, a RealClearPolitics polling average had Biden tied for fourth place with Sen. Elizabeth Warren among Democrats in New Hampshire. Sanders was in first ahead of South Bend, Ind. mayor Pete Buttigieg and Sen. Amy Kobuchar, who began pulling ahead of Warren and Sanders to reach third place. Ultimately Biden ended up in 5th place.
It should be noted that Trump had a massive showing of support in Vermont and finished the night with numbers that haven’t been seen in four decades.
In NH primary tonight, @realDonaldTrump is very likely to beat the vote percentages of the last 3 incumbent presidents who WON re-election.
1996 Bill Clinton 84%
2004 George W. Bush 80%
2012 Barack Obama 82%
Trump right now is pushing 86%.
This is historic strength! 💪
