Lance Armstrong Banned for Life; To Be Stripped Of All Tour de France Wins

Armstrong called the USADA’s actions an “unconstitutional witch hunt.”

World renowned cyclist and seven-time Tour de France victor Lance Armstrong has been banned for life by the United States Anti Doping Agency.

Fox Sports Austin Texas reports that Armstrong has dropped the fight against the USADA over doping charges.

The agency will move to strip Armstrong of his Tour de France titles immediately and will institute a life time ban against one of the world’s most recognized and winningest athletes on Friday.

Armstrong called the USADA’s actions an “unconstitutional witch hunt.”

But he was no longer prepared to defend himself against the allegations that he illegally used drugs to improve his competitive performance. “There comes a point in every man’s life when he has to say, enough is enough. For me, that time is now,” he said.
