Austin, Texas PD Confirms Threat to Kill Police Officers on Sixth Street Today
Yesterday Austin Police Chief Art Acevedo confirmed that someone opened a social media account just long enough to threaten to kill police officers on 6th Street today before shutting the account down.

In response, Chief Acevedo said he would be sending additional resources to 6th Street.
He also declared a staffing emergency, meaning all patrol shifts must be filled 100% and if there are not enough volunteers to fill the patrol shifts, officers will be mandated to fill the remaining shifts according to Austin’s KEYE TV.
