Alert: Bachmann Says She’s Been ‘Working In The Private Sector Since 5 Years Old’

Okay, so let’s face it: The 2012 Republican candidates are mostly made up of fringe lunatics that are there to do nothing other than make life easier for comedians. Newt Gingrich appears to be the latest American Idol B-roll infatuation among the Republican party, and he’s certainly proven his ignorance of history and made some phenomenally insane comments. But when it comes to pure, unadulterated crazy it is Michelle Bachmann who takes not only the cake, but the entire bakery.

During last Saturday’s gazillionith daffy dimwit derby, Michele Bachmann appeared to have endorsed Newt Gingrich’s Dickensian child work model when she said she’s been a “private business woman” since she was 5-years-old. Although no official rebuttal, it’s possible that Bachmann meant to say she has been making crazy and inaccurate statements since  she was 5-years-old. If she’s referring to the lemonade stand she had, then I suppose most people can say they were CEO of girl scout cookies when they were five.

“I’m 55-years-old,” Bachmann noted. “I’ve spent 50 years in the real world as a private business woman living a real life and building a real business.”

Well, at least she got ‘woman’ right, although Marcus Bachmann might even have her beat there.

Trying to dissect and evaluate things what Bachmann says is a herculean task , involving a phD.in abnormal psychology and truck load of coffee, but her claim of being a “private business woman” is not just outright laughable, it’s outright false.

For example, Bachmann worked as a tax litigation attorney for the IRS between 1988 and 1993. In 1993, she decided to put her career on hold in order to become a full-time mother. In 1999, Bachmann returned to work but not in the ‘private sector’. On the contrary, she attempted to do what every power-starved, egomaniacal moron attempts to do in becoming president of a School Board, which she thankfully  lost.  Apparently hell-bent on ruining people’s lives on a larger level, Bachmann was elected to the Minnesota Senate in 2000. Since 2006, she has served in the U.S. House of Representatives, though you can hardly say she’s served since she’s pretty much been mounting a presidential campaign for the past few years and imposing her religious fanaticism.  What will she say next?
