Addictive Flesh-Eating Drug Krokodil Literally Rots a Teen’s Genitals

The first case of krokodil addiction to make news in Mexico is disturbing enough to keep anyone from even considering trying the drug.

A 17-year-old in Puerto Vallarta reportedly decided it would be wise to inject this stuff directly into her genitalia. The infection that ensued literally rotted away her genitals. She told officials she had only been using the stuff for less than two months.

That’s the best anti-drug speech a parent could give their teens: “Hey kids, this drug will literally rot your crotch off, no joke.”

Desomorphine, the heroin-like drug out of Russia made from crushing codeine and cooking it with various household chemicals like paint thinner, is called krokodil on the street because it causes users to break out in scaly green, gangrenous, festering pus-filled (was that enough adjectives to get a clear picture?) sores, eventually rotting the body from the inside out.

Although the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration says they have not been able to confirm any of the recent reports of krokodil use in America through laboratory testing, others say it is a new trend sweeping the nation, with gruesome horror stories coming out of Arizona, Ohio, Colorado and Utah to name a few.

This stuff is apparently 8-10 times more potent than morphine, but it wears off a lot faster with a much tougher withdrawal period, making it much more addictive than heroin. People who regularly use krokodil typically do not live much longer than a year.

Due to the drug’s horrific effects, the Ohio Sheriff in the story linked above actually advised people to make sure they get their heroin ‘from a trusted source’.
