An app controlled drone that can deliver an 80,000 volt charge has been unveiled by Chaotic Moon Studios, a Texas technology firm.

Called CUPID, Chaotic Unmanned Personal Intercept Drone it fires a taser, sanctioned by it’s human operators.

A company statement said:

“The drone can be deployed when an alarm is triggered. It can find a subject and send live video to the owners phone and ask if you want to authorize the subject or detain them. If you detain them, it drops into fully autonomous mode to detain them until police arrive. If need be stunning them with 80,000 volts of electricity to render them incapacitated,”

RT report that Chaotic moon is also developing a pepper spray version of CUPID as well as an EMP version that can knock ‘spy drones’ out of the sky by messing up their electronics.

There are already enough problems with law enforcement going way over the top with tasers. It seems it wont be long before we can be attacked remotely from the sky. I wonder how long it will be until the first court case where the cop claims it was a misunderstanding between him and the operator?
