You Might Hate America If…

In America today, there is an all-out attack on the values that this country was founded upon.  Many of the people that are involved in these attacks actually claim to “love America” and yet they viciously attack the values and the principles that were foundational to what early Americans believed.  In particular, there are two documents that were greatly cherished in early America that are being relentlessly assaulted today: the U.S. Constitution and the Bible.  In colleges and universities all over America, students are being taught that these documents are “flawed” and that they need to “evolve” as society changes.  Those teaching this philosophy honestly believe that modern values are far superior to the values found in those documents.  They are convinced that it is foolish to be “bound” by the wisdom of the past.  That is why they love to refer to the U.S. Constitution as a “living, breathing document”.  They believe that they should be able to “reinterpret” the Constitution without going through the hassle of the formal amendment process.  And of course we have seen courts do this over and over again in recent years.  When they feel it is necessary, our politicians and our courts will even openly ignore the Constitution when they feel it is necessary.  At this point, the Constitution has been so watered down and so many of our freedoms and liberties have been stripped away that we really don’t have much of a Constitution left.  Sure, it is still there on paper, but our nation really doesn’t follow it anymore.

Of course a similar thing could be said of the Bible.  In colleges and universities all over America, the Bible is relentlessly attacked.  Trust me, I have sat in university classrooms where it happens.  The goal is to cast doubt on it, discredit it and make it as irrelevant as possible.  In other words, they are trying to do the same thing to the Bible that they are doing to the U.S. Constitution.

But those two documents were the two most important documents in the early years of the United States.

Those two documents contained values and principles that helped make our country great.

Unfortunately, today we think that we “know better” and we are turning our backs on those values and principles.

So do you hate America and the values and the principles that it was founded upon?  The following are some indications that you might…

If you refer to the U.S. Constitution as a “living, breathing document”, you might hate America.

If you believe that the U.S. Constitution is “inherently flawed“, you might hate America.

If you go around telling people that “we cannot let the Constitution become an obstacle“, you might hate America.

If you believe that the U.S. Constitution “represented values we should abhor or at least reject today“, you might hate America.

If you are convinced that there is “something infantile in the belief of the constitution-worshippers that the complex political arguments of today can be settled by simple fidelity to a document written in the 18th century”, you might hate America.

If you find yourself uttering phrases such as “capitalism does not work” or “capitalist pigs”, you might hate America.

If you consider marriage to be an “antiquated institution” and you believe that it enslaves women, you might hate America.

If you believe that the fact that the percentage of married couples in America today is at an all-time low is a good thing, you might hate America.

If you think that football is “too violent” and should be banned, you might hate America.

If you believe that those that are “reverent of individual liberty” are potential terrorists, you might hate America.

If you consider California to be a positive example for the rest of the nation, you might hate America.

If you believe that U.S. soldiers should be ordered to avoid criticizing “anything related to Islam“, you might hate America.

If you believe that students should be sent home from school for wearing shirts that display the American flag on the Mexican holiday of Cinco de Mayo, you might hate America.

If you think that the U.S. military should be able to indefinitely detain U.S. citizens on U.S. soil without ever granting them a trial, you might hate America.

If you believe that “liberty” and “freedom” are “dangerous”, you might hate America.

If you believe that all human activity should be centrally planned and managed “for the good of the environment“, you might hate America.

If you believe that Christianity exists to keep the poor from killing the rich, you might hate America.

If you think that the government should take away most of what people earn through taxes, you might hate America.

If you believe that it is a good thing that millions of American jobs are being shipped to communist China, you might hate America.

If you consider small businesses to be “irrelevant”, you might hate America.

If you want to trample on our Second Amendment rights, you might hate America.

If you believe that volunteer chaplains should be banned from using the name of Jesus on government property, you might hate America.

If you think that the U.S. government should continue running trillion dollar deficits every single year, you might hate America.

If you think that traffic camera fines are a good thing, you might hate America.

If you believe that our borders should be left unprotected, you might hate America.

If you believe that illegal immigrants should be able to legally get driver’s licenses, you might hate America.

If you believe that illegal immigrants should be able to practice law in the United States, you might hate America.

If you are wearing a shirt that proclaims that you are “proud to be politically correct”, you might hate America.

If you think that the United Nations should be given control of the Internet, you might hate America.

If you are convinced that license plates that say “Choose Life” on them are unconstitutional, you might hate America.

If you believe that government agencies should be able to read your email without a search warrant, you might hate America.

If you believe that faith is a “mental illness”, you might hate America.

If you work for MSNBC, you might hate America.

If you believe that preppers are “dangerous extremists” that should be carefully watched and monitored, you might hate America.

If you believe that TSA goons should touch the private parts of our women and our children before they are allowed to board their flights, you might hate America.

If you are convinced that “it is necessary to give up some civil liberties in order to make the country safe from terrorism”, you might hate America.

If you believe that making a profit is a sin, you might hate America.

If you consider the Founding Fathers to be “terrorists“, you might hate America.

Well, I clicked through on the link in “If you believe that the U.S. Constitution “represented values we should abhor or at least reject today“, you might hate America.”

Mostly made me want to vomit, but he had a point with #3: For the most part, the Constitution is irrelevant to the current political design of our nation.

He arrived at the conclusion for the wrong reasons, but even a broken clock is right twice a day.

He in fact hates everything that MADE America. All in favor of “persecution” for treason?

    • Ovals

if you hate this article and want to vomit after reading it, you might hate America…

      • Jean

??? Just keeping with the meme? I’m not following…

  • Cymro

The Constitution may not be “inherently flawed” but it is not by any means a perfect document. If that were the case there would never have been a need to ammend it. If you believe making list like this is a sure fire way to detect those who “hate” America you are fooling yourself.

    • bubbleentity

I suspect that is the point. it contains the mechinisms to alter it should it prove nessercery, but they attacks are more about making it irrelivant in it’s entireaty

  • Anonymous

I think the word “Might” could have been left out of most of these statements.

For those who think they will get the old America back,
I would suggest secession. After mass secession, and the resulting migration of all of the victim groups, (and now we are ALL victims), no would should have anything to complain about an we can all live happily and peacefully apart.

    That’s my 2 cents………keep the change.

  • http://T Evie

Many of the amendments were a way for corporations or politicans to change policy to suit themselves. Mostly not ammendments now, just

Totally ignore it, along with other laws also. Kind of a government to suit the elites interests.

  • Miguel D’Anconia

Actually, the Constitution is fundamentally flawed but not in the way most statist think. The articles of confederation were far better in preventing a large, powerful central government
The best hope for freedom is for a peaceful split of the US. Allow the statists to go off on their own (both the left and right) while allowing freedom loving people to live peaceably with other like minded individuals.

  • ncjoe

What makes you fuckheads so special that you get to decide who hates America?

    • Lutz

I have noticed that you tend to go against the grain when it comes to morality, and you are very anti-American to boot. Why is that? I would venture to say that you are probably communist, gay, or both. It must be really miserable being you.

      • Mark

        A-Men, a Gay Troll…

    • Jean

“You might be a redneck IF…”
But for you, special delivery: “Here’s your sign.” ;-)

Let’s see…. If people demonise the traditions we were founded on; if people demonise princicples of human interaction (Capitalism, Markets); if people demonize freedom (and personal responsibility – they go together), then PROBABLY these people have STATED BLATANTLY that they hate America. (America as we would like to see it, moreso than America as it really is.)

Jane Fonda comes to mind… Hanoi Jane. Supporter of the VC. Regardless of whether the war was “right” (moral), fought correctly (it wasn’t), or fought for truly American interests (it was actually a proxy war against Communism, as most know): What Hanoi Jane did was to offer encouragement to the North Vietnamese and VC, at the EXPENSE of POWs and other American soldiers.
She should have been publicly executed, slowly – hanging to asphyxiation, instead of to break the neck.
SHE obviously worshipped whatever was Anti-American. Dissent at home, I don’t like, but legal. Visiting POW camps, visiting gun emplacements, getting photos taken with NV and VC; handing over information from US forces to NV or VC officers? These are NOT the acts of someone who loves America – REGARDLESS of how she might “love peace” or “love freedom.” The actions are obvious. The penalties proscribed by law.

I don’t have an issue with the honest Communist or Anarchist or Socialist here. I take SEVERE umbrage, however, at those who will DEFEND us from OURSELVES – as they are De Facto anti-freedom. They don’t want me to smoke, drink, gamble, or own a gun. What will they take away next? My access to vitamins and healthy food? (Codex Alimentarius.) To fair healthcare? (Obamacare, and Romneycare in MA) To large drinks on a hot day? (Bloomberg bans extra-large sodas.)

Thank you very much for protecting YOUR wallet at MY expense.
How about, WE keep other people’s hands out of OUR wallets, and I drink wahtever the F I want, and IF I get obese, you point me to the gym? And IF I tell you to go F*ck yourself, you politely walk away, laugh, and challenge me to a race? ;-) (Idea being, you’ll win – forcing the point, without forcing me AND YOU to donate to my “future Type 2 diabetes” fund.)

And if YOU can’t control yourself after a few drinks, well, YOU can give up drinking… I shouldn’t have to. Nor should _I_ have an interlock device on my car, or WE have DUI Checkpoints.

See, if YOU hate ME, but can demonize ME enough, you can get LOTS of support for being, “right.” Doesn’t mean you’re right – it’s still motivated by hatred.
So WE can see what others have done, and extrapolate Hatred as a root cause.

      Easy, simple, logical.

  • http://T Evie

Basically what is stated is freedom of speech and tolerance, unless of course we are at war, there should obviously be a rezson why. Lately there has been no reason. If resources are all that is wanted we should just take them like China. Leaving democracy and nation building to its own citizens.

  • bubbleentity

Of course the US consitution is a living breathing document … with teeth.

Now when they succede in pulling those teeth, watch just how fast that living breathing document becomes a dead letter.

  • Mark

Injustices to almighty God in America…
    • Homosexuality is just an “alternative lifestyle”.
    • We murder babies that are socially inconvenient.
    • We change marriage partners like a fashion statement.
    • We have abandoned the sanctity of commitments in all of our relationships.
    • We have clearly disconnected Character from Destiny.
    • Immorality and deceit have also come to characterize the highest offices of our nation as well.
    • Our politics have condoned and covered up more murders than we dare list.
    • Our public enterprises have been prostituted for the convenience of the Elite.
    • Our entertainments have celebrated adultery, fornication, violence, aberrant sexual practices, and every imaginable form of evil.
    • We have become the primary exporters of everything God abhors.
    • Index of leading cultural Indicators for last 30 years.
 560% increase in violent crime
 400% increase in illegitimate births
 400% increase in the divorce rate
 300% increase in single parent homes
 200% increase in teenage suicides
 75% drop in SAT scores
    • Each day in America there are…
     2,795 teen pregnancies
     1,106 teen abortions
 4,219 teenagers contact a sexually transmitted disease
    • Every 64 seconds a baby is born to a teenage mother…
 5 minutes later, a baby will have been born to a teenager who already has a child.
 10 Hours later, 560 babies will have been born to teenagers.
    • Restrictions on society…
 Creationism cannot be taught because it requires a belief in God.
 Morality cannot be taught because it requires reference to the Bible.
 Traditional History cannot be taught because it speaks of the important place of God and our religious values throughout the entire record of human history.
Thomas Jefferson said it best back in 1781 and I quote…
“I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just; and that his justice cannot nor will not sleep forever.”

  • Lowtolerance

If you think capitalism is the prevailing economic model for US corps today, you might hate America.

    See: Oligarcy. Oligopoly. Fascism. Corpotatism.

    • Lowtolerance

      “corporatism”

    • Jean

      You omitted “Cartel”.

  • SKIP

    I would add:
    1) if you are a muslim
    2) if you are a member of congress
    3) if you are a member of the senate
    4) if you are a legislator in a blue state (and some red states too)
    5) if you are black
    6) if you are the POTUS!! OH! mentioned that already

    • Jean

I’ll bite on #5, even though I have come to consider myself (anti-black) racist.
Playing the odds, probably – but not a guarantee. Lots of fine black Americans I’ve worked with over the years.
Examples all turn out like Damon in Day By Day Cartoon: For example:
      http://www.daybydaycartoon.com/2002/11/04/

No reason to KEEP a faulty judgement based on someone’s skin color, if it’s a MAN, treat it like one; if it’s a LADY, treat it like one; if it’s a nigger, put it down for the betterment of society. Odds are, it’ll be black-skinned, but there’ll be a few other outliers in there, too…. Even to lily-white.

(Which is in one sense, a real pity: would be NICE if God had painted the targets in a single color. :-P )
