Why the Patriot Movement Just Isn’t “Moving”

A lot is said about the âPatriot Movementâ in the US, but the movement doesnât really seem to be getting anywhere.
Donât get me wrong – there are some very notable people out there doing great things.
Consider the alternative journalists who are quite literally, risking their lives to share information with those of us who are interested enough to read it.
Keep in mind the whistleblowers who told the world the truth about the BP oil spill, 9/11, the birth records of our âfearless leaderâ and many other behind-the-scenes plots against health, freedom and justice.
There are the preppers, stocking up, arming up, and educating themselves, so that, at the very least, they are self-sufficient and ready to fight should they be called upon.
These are the REAL patriots. But who are the rest of these folks that consider themselves part of the âPatriot Movementâ? They donât really seem to be moving anywhere, except maybe to the fridge, to get another drink to keep them hydrated while they type feverishly on their keyboards.
The Laptop Rambos: The liberty forums are full of Laptop Rambos, with their battle cries stolen directly from the last Bruce Willis movie. They like to quote Heston, too, claiming their multitude of guns will only be pried from their âcold dead handsâ. But for all of their tough talk, what are they really doing? Buying all the guns and ammo they can manage to have delivered from Amazon while they angrily type away about those who would take away their rights? Daydreaming about dashing around the forest in combat boots when the last time they ran anywhere, it was to the bathroom after that ill-advised trip to Taco Bell?   Oh â yeah â the Rambos? Theyâre all being âwatchedâ which is the reason that they are unable to take any action outside of pounding into their keyboards, âLive Free or Die!!!â
The Noble Net Orators: These are the ones that type half a page of flowery rhetoric on the afore-mentioned forums. They lay claim to vast service to the country, vow eternal loyalty to their oath to defend the country against all enemies, foreign and domestic and they really, really like to quote the Constitution and the founding fathers during their rousing internet orations. But are they actually organizing anything or do they just like to hear themselves talkâŠ.er, see themselves type?
The Patriot Preachers: Another popular forum member is the Patriot Preacher. He or she enjoys drawing parallels between current happenings and the Bible. This person is pretty sure that whatever bad stuff is happening, itâs occurring because the US is a hedonistic cesspool. Their posts are full of scriptural quotes, Revelationesque predictions and no real direction. They are happy to tell us why it is all our fault but stop short of any real recommendations or actions.
The Flag-Wavers: They are proud to be American, they know all the words to every song with the word âAmericaâ in it in any form and they abide by proper flag etiquette, carefully bringing in their flags at dark and during inclement weather. They may criticize the president using a line that they heard on the TV news that they really liked, their closets are loaded with red-white-and-blue clothing, and their vehicle boasts flag stickers and decals on every flat surface. You donât think they are Patriots? Look at them! They have WAY more visible flags than their neighbors! Just donât expect a whole lot from the Flag-Wavers when it comes to a discussion of the real issues because they still watch the network news at 6.
How the heck are we supposed to have a revolution if these are the folks running it?
I guess that we should feel fortunate, looking back in history, to discover that only 3% of the people fought against oppression in the American Revolution. 10% of the population actively supported that brave 3%. This left 87% of the population at that time to either side with the British, remain neutral or be armchair patriots, much like our list above.
Being a Patriot doesnât mean that you have to get a sniper rifle and start picking off the enemy. It doesnât mean that you must oust the scum from Congress (although that sure would be nice). You donât have to have a radio show or website that gets a million hits per day.
It does mean, though, that action is required beyond a âBooyah!â on the internet. If you happen to recognize yourself in the list above, consider upping your personal Patriot game by taking one of the real actions below.
You can spread the truth about what is happening in our country and around the world.
You can refuse to comply to anything that is at cross-purposes with your God-given rights.
You can resist by knowing the Constitution and insisting that it be followed.
You can speak up when you see the rights of others being trampled on, and not be a bystander to bullying by the Regime.
Quiet acts of Patriotism speak more loudly than a hundred words uttered without action.

What a load of boohoo!! All the spouting you just did, does that make you a patriot?
Then you want us to support Romney!?! The difference between Romney and Obama is the color of their skin!
The “old establishment GOP” are the reason that we have him as the “conservative” candidate. They wanted him from the very beginning. What a hoot when he couldn’t even win the spot from McCain (a democrat in GOP clothing). They were scared to death that REAL conservative would capture the limelight. It’s amazing how the very few real conservatives on the ticket we excoriated, debased, and driven from the frey.
How much do YOU really know?!?
spot on perryman.
Get a clue perryman. Words and action are not just hype….and this was not meant for us to judge others but for us to judge ourselves. Even the founders had to orate as they prepared and then fought for freedom. By your standards…just your reply would be boohoo since we can’t see the fruits of you inaction.
Well being a patriot sure does not mean “living” off the system, too lazy to get a job and expecting the hard working individuals in this country to support you. Being a patriot is being ready to defend ones self, family, and goods stored up so the when the SHTF you can fend off the same people who will riot and kill because once again they “deserve” our stuff. Being a patriot is one who does beleive in the inaliable rights drafted to us in the constitution. Of which Obama and his cronies want to destroy, look around people, everything good and decent about this country is being destroyed in front of our eyes.
I love the authors of these lists that state you are not a true “xyz” if you don’t closely follow my list of requirements. I have news for you…you can’t create a list like this and not fall into one of the categories yourself. I would classify you, Daisy, as “Laptop Rambo.”
We’ll all either have to man up or give up when they finally single us out. Patriots want to be left alone to live and enjoy our families. I sincerely hope that I have courage on that day, because I am afraid. But that’s ok too.
Most people are not patriots as they are confused what the true meaning is. Most people preach about sacrifice and hardship but that is for others and not them.
Examples: people who say obama.care is socialism yet collect 3 checks for themselves.
People who think all should sacrifice for the youth yet they collect ss for themselves.
The elite who do little but any work, cause economic collapse and yet it is unamerican to say they are not worth millions.
Where’d ya get the 3% figure?
I spoke to a group of clueless mainstreamers last night at a religious group discussion (Catholic) on economics. It’s always interesting to wonder about and think about how much actually sinks in, you know? Spouted about the Fed, high cost of education because of government regulation, about how the free market works and why liberty made America great. I always take pleasure in those opportunities!
Lastly: Thanks for this post. We suck! It’s true! I always believe we can hold ourselves to a higher standard. Reading stuff like this is always motivating – I DO want to WALK THE WALK! Yet, when I even try to get a word in edgewise on some of these topics, I feel like people “throw me out of the synagogue”! Political heresy, freedom speaking seems like! Ehh, just like it feels like an army of 1 vs. 1000, patriots also need some love, rest and relaxation, and healing to the many wounds we encounter in the daily battle – and if you don’t have a “hospital” to go to or adequate “weapons”, it can be hard to fight the good fight!!!
Keep on Keeping on errrybody
