“We don’t have time for this”: Officer Shoots and Kills Teen With Schizophrenia

A North Carolina family is mourning the loss of their 18 year old son after he was shot and killed by a police officer.

Mark Wilsey called 911 for police assistance with his son Keith, who was having a schizophrenic incident and threatened his mother with a small screwdriver.

Wilsey said two police officers showed up and were able to subdue Keith, but the arrival of a third officer caused the teen to become agitated, and the officers used a Taser on him.

Wilsey told WECT that officers had his son down on the ground after the teen was tased a few times and an officer said, “We don’t have time for this.”

That’s when Wilsey says one of the officers stepped between the two who were holding Keith down and fired, killing his son:

“There was no reason to shoot this kid,” Wilsey said. “They killed my son in cold blood. We called for help and they killed my son.”

Both parents said they had to watch their son die in front of them. They said Keith had just turned 18 years old and only weighed about 90 pounds.

Keith’s mother said she could not understand what happened:

“Where is the justice, why did they shoot my son?,” she asked. “This is what’s wrong with our mental health system.”

Keith’s parents said the screwdriver was tiny and the teen wouldn’t have hurt anyone. Neighbors said Keith played with their children and he never was violent. He had a history of depression and schizophrenia, but he was never harmful to others.

His mother said she tried multiple times to get Keith help for his mental illness. Emergency services treated her for a breakdown at the scene.

At least one detective from the Southport Police Department is on paid administrative leave for his involvement in the incident.

This is just another tragic example of a call for help from the people who are supposed to “serve and protect” turning deadly.

Come on, they could’t have subdued him by overpowering him physically? Where’s the bravery in North Carolina’s finest? Where’s using lethal force as the last resort, not the FIRST resort!?

They’re exactly cowards in blue! Assuming the report is true, they murdered the young man-plain and simple.

      they had him subdued…..

Judge Roy Bean would hang that cop, no delays, no paid leave, no retirement, the guy is a murderer. Premeditated .

Won’t be long before ‘an eye for an eye’ becomes commonplace. That and people, when seeing the cops coming just start shooting and consider it self defense.

What good are the cops when 95% of the time they arrive AFTER a crime and just take notes? We the people can take care of ourselves just fine if the cops get out of the way. Get out of the way, or else..

We are seeing more and more of this all the time in this country now.It is happening all over the country and the more they get away with the more they are going to do.These are the people that are wanting more armored vehicles, drones and body armor to protect them and it is obvious why they seem to think they need these things.Never call the cops for anything unless you are willing to pay the price for bothering them!

One is of course very sorry for the parents of the kid who’s been murdered by the pigs, but then have people in this country not yet understood that in no circumstance should anyone call for the pigs?
Do you ask for help from a rapist? A serial murderer? A gangster?
    So why call the pigs?
Never call the pigs; don’t ever speak to a pig; never help a pig or his/her family and parents.
Boycott all pigs on all occasions: they are not human beings; they are not even animals. Calling them ”pigs” would be offensive to animals if the word were not a metaphor.

Might I be so bold as to suggest, “We quit calling 911?” 911 is the biggest lie perpretrated on the American People

If you want to get rid of someone, call the police over to their house.

These parents got what they deserved. Only a true moron would be completely ignorant in a post 9-11 world. If the obvious false flag that was 9-11 and subsequent false flags weren’t enough to get a person thinking and researching, then realizing we’re in a police state, what could possible clue in a person as to avoid calling the police to resolve even the most simple of matters.

Here’s the rule everyone: NEVER CALL THE POLICE UNLESS YOU WANT THEM TO ASSAULT YOU OR SOMEONE YOU LOVE. Plain and simple. These parents obviously haven’t been keeping up on current events. As well, it’s evident as they have that troubled teen. If they knew better, they would have figured how to handle his needs without the aid of government and would have detoxed him.

RIP young man. You got an early ticket out.

This will stop when people start doing some black ops on cops like this. Nail them from a 1000 yds as they come out of their home to go to work. Don’t kill them, just take out their knee caps.

    • whitefeather

1000 yd to the knees? Tough shot, even with the best of equipment.

  • Two words: SHOOT BACK

  • LexiconD1

They didn’t use to be like this.

“Diversity” in our police forces, and a lower of the standards (for all), in the name of that diversity, are why we have a bunch of idiots for police nowadays.

We use to have men of morals and courage, that you could rely on, as police…now that is no longer.

  • What is the NAME of the officer who shot this kid? Post it, please!

  • VikingBl00d

I can’t wait until SHTF. Then it will be open season on pigs and nigs.

  • CountingBodiesLikeSheep

This is tragic to be sure, but something about the parents story doesn’t sit right with me. If young 90 pound Keith could never have hurt anybody with his tiny screwdriver as the parents profess, then why on earth did they feel the need to call in the cops? This story is missing some information. I’m no fan of our Benevolent Protectors either, but there are two sides to every story and I think the cops should get to tell theirs.

  • oldman50

In all JUSTICE, that sorry excuse for a pile of dog crap should be placed in a maximum security jail in the general population. Second best option would be to throw him an old fashioned blanket party complete with the presentation of a fine, hand made neck tie.

  • spirittoo

Well the cop said they didn’t have time for this … so they solved the problem … the parent didn’t like the way they solved the problem, but when you call the cops you take a risk. Things like this happen in a tyrannical police state. So it’s the parents fault for calling in the bootjacks. What did they expect?

  • Greg Lesher

Depopulation is their goal, so they feel a need to desensitize the public with random acts of execution. This officer needs to be tried and hung, let him escape justice and he endangers the lives of good police public servants. A reputation is being formulated by the public, and it is not looking good.

  • dazle1

If it had have been me i would have shot that murderer right there myself.
