When ISIS first swept across the Middle East, they seemed like an unstoppable juggernaut. They really lived up to their propaganda. Every town and city they came across swiftly fell under their draconian rule, as bumbling Iraqi soldiers failed to contain them, and the overwhelmed Syrian military failed to send them packing.
These days however, ISIS seems to be in disarray. They’re short on cash and short on supplies. And as this video shows, they’re also short on competent fighters. Vice News recently obtained headcam footage that a Peshmerga soldier had picked off of a dead ISIS fighter. This is the current state of ISIS. Their fighters are scared, poorly trained, and utterly incompetent.
