Great video & very true! I would never medicate my child just to try to make them easier to manage! I was SUPER HYPER as a child & I outgrew it. They tried to give me meds & I’d just spit them out & everyone would tell me what a great improvement it was doing for me (o_0) & I just wanted to B*tch-Slap them upside their retarded little Pill-Nazi heads for wasting MY FKing AIR!
The process of putting children on pills is also complimented by their parents and schools feeding them non nutritious foods such as drive through poisons. Then, to add more salt to the wound, kids are left to sit endlessly in front of TV, a computerized game, or a computer for endless hours instead of going out and playing like we used to as kids.
I’m sure I’m dating myself by revealing that once, long ago, there were many of us who actually played with chalk on the sidewalks or played with marbles and traded cards while we chased each other during hide and seek games. Now, these normal childhood activities are no longer familiar to the average child in favor of sitting medicated and obese in front of some electronic hypnotic machine.
Consider the long term drugging effect, brainless hours of TV and computer games, and you have a recipe for what Tim Robbins says is a person whose talents and future are retarded. When these kids end up on drugs or end up killing other people, we ask “Where were the parents?”. Indeed, where are you parents? Are you paying attention, or is this some other family’s problem that you ignore as your own?
When my daughters were in school they were doing poorly due to lack of attention span on their part and lack of effort on the part of my wife’s and mine. One day, I told my educated school principal wife that our daughters are spending more time on the TV tube while their grades are declining to C’s and D’s. I said we must turn off the TV.
We did turn it off, and allowed them only ONE HOUR a day of TV. After the rebellion was over, my kids adjusted to doing homework and playing outside as well as reading more books. Know what happened to them? Although they were three years apart and failing in school, they turned around and both became HONOR STUDENTS, and the older one became a National Honors Student. Today, the older has a masters degree in diplomacy and speaks three languages fluently, and the younger has a Bachelors degree and is a culinary school graduate.
Folks, its time for you or your friends and their kids to start being more attentive to how you and your friends choose to raise these kids of today. Otherwise, the pitfalls are clearly written on the wall, and your children wont be able to read it because it will be covered with graffiti.
