The UN Tried To Mess With Trump, But They Ended Up With A $285 Million Budget Reduction Instead

When are people going to learn that you don’t mess with Trump?

Over the past several decades, the United Nations has grown into a vast bureaucratic monstrosity that is completely out of control, but previous administrations have just kept feeding the beast.  Thankfully, we now have a president that is not afraid to stand up to the globalists, and the $285 million budget reduction that Trump and his team just negotiated is the largest budget reduction in UN history.

Those that have not read “The Art of the Deal” yet may want to do so, because this is Trump at his best.  The following is the statement that UN Ambassador Nikki Haley put out about this stunning budget reduction

Today, the United Nations agreed on a budget for the 2018-2019 fiscal year. ‎Among a host of other successes, the United States negotiated a reduction of over $285 million off the 2016-2017 final budget.

In addition to these significant cost savings, we reduced the UN’s bloated management and support functions, bolstered support for key U.S. priorities throughout the world, and instilled more discipline and accountability throughout the UN system.

“The inefficiency and overspending of the United Nations are well known. We will no longer let the generosity of the American people be taken advantage of or remain unchecked. This historic reduction in spending – in addition to many other moves toward a more efficient and accountable UN – is a big step in the right direction.

While we are pleased with the results of this year’s budget negotiations, you can be sure we’ll continue to look at ways to increase the UN’s efficiency‎ while protecting our interests,” said Ambassador Haley.

What makes this deal even more interesting is the fact that it came just after the UN General Assembly voted 128 to 9 against Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

Is there a possibility that the two decisions are connected?

Even if they aren’t, the fact that the budget reduction deal happened so quickly after the anti-Israel vote sends a very strong message.

Meanwhile, what we do know is that President Trump has publicly warned the nations that voted against his recognition of Jerusalem that they could see their financial aid reduced

U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday threatened to cut off financial aid to countries that vote in favor of a draft United Nations resolution calling for the United States to withdraw its decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

“They take hundreds of millions of dollars and even billions of dollars, and then they vote against us. Well, we’re watching those votes. Let them vote against us. We’ll save a lot. We don’t care,” Trump told reporters at the White House.

Considering the fact that we are 20 trillion dollars in debt, we could definitely cut back on financial aid to countries that want to go against us.

And personally, I would very much be in favor of reducing funding to the United Nations a whole lot more.  The UN is an anti-American institution that has been promoting the agenda of the globalists for as long as it has existed, and once I get to Washington I am going to do all that I can to help Trump put America first.

The UN needs to be defanged, declawed and made as powerless as possible, and this huge budget reduction is definitely a good first step in the right direction.

    Well, that’s a good start…

Ultimately, the amount the U.S. taxpayer spends on the UN should be zero. Even better, the other members need to pay us for the privilege of hosting them in New York.

Even more better than all that, why not just move the hell out of New York to someplace like, say, Brussels or Geneva?

I’m sure one of The Donald’s real-estate developer friends could find a better use for the UN building.

I could find a better use for the UN building than hosting the UN.

Housing for the homeless – vets get dibs.

      • Any vet that violated his/her oath to protect and defend the Constitution should be exiled to Gitmo.

        • ReverendDraco✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ ᵃᶜᶜᵒᵘᶰᵗ

I’m sure there are some “conscientious objectors” living homeless. . . there almost has to be.

    • The UN building has the status of an embassy.
T’was me, I’d put the same sanctions on the UN as it places on countries.
It wouldn’t take much to barricade one block in NYC, and I doubt there are any preppers there.
After they were out of electricity, water, and food, with backed up sewers, most of them would be happy to be declared persona non grata so they could leave.

    • UN/NATO will soon cease to exist, if we pull out all financing, equipment and troops, because 80% of both come from USA. Not that WE need such an organization, but as long as nations exist, they need a forum at which they can discuss issues and negotiate, not impose sanctions and no “legal invasions” of another nation.

  • THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH YOU DON’ FA

Awww poor Trumpy, others didn’t vote his way and scolded Trumpy’s masters so now he’ll take his blanket now and leave the sandbox….. Screw Trump and to Hell with IS=REAL-HELL. Trump is only controlled opposition for the khazars anyways.

    • Sounds like you have the sour grape market more cornered than he does.

Actually he played them like suckers. Win win for America and Trump.

Why should we give millions of dollars to the U.N. when all these other countries don’t pay their share of the bill? Some of these countries owe quite a bit of money because they haven’t paid the U.N. in years.
Screw the U.N.. And screw these other countries. And screw paying this globalist organization. I say we shouldn’t pay them at all. Let’s starve them out.

The U.N, in cold war good times, did always the required. Remember Korea war, up to Vietnam. Closing history is Libya. The result of it was more in pockets. Oil dominated. Today news is pocket related to. Stripping the emperor of his clothing in full public. A clear sign of stupidity at work, not brains. In the end it will be Revelations. Read history of Korea. Thy are not the famous Indians believing the U.S in coming of age.

Since about $9 out of every $10 the UN gets is stolen and embezzled this could really hurt the crooks at the UN.

    • Stolen and embezzled are different things, funds can’t be both.
I don’t suppose you have any proof beyond bluster.

      • Laurence Almand

Embezzling is just a fancy name for stealing. Theft is theft, regardless of how it is committed.

        • That is the usual excuse given by those who are too ignorant to know the difference.

  • Undecider

The $285 million probably just went to the other U.N. socket puppet known as Israel.

  • Laurence Almand

About time! The UN is nothing but a huge corrupt bureaucracy, like all the others. The US has paid over 25% of the UN’s bills, yet many of the members vote against the US time and again! Read the good book INSIDE THE ASYLUM to learn about UN corruption and anti-US propaganda. The entire organization should be defunded and sent to China.

  • Bucko Bob Parra

285 million is a drop compared to the 8 billion the US hands over to the UN annually.
