The Double Standard Nobody Noticed in the Naugler Case

White Gold - This Element Will Power Every Home In America

naugler

I’m sure many of you remember when the CPS visited the Naugler family’s Kentucky home earlier this month, and took all 10 of their kids. For the crime of living outside of mainstream society, one of their busy body neighbors alerted the authorities to their unique lifestyle, and now the family is still dealing with the consequences. To date, none of these kids have been returned to their parents.

So what was it about their lifestyle that was so offensive to the authorities, that they were deemed unfit to raise a family?

Based on some of the questions that the CPS asked the parents, which included subjects like guns, vaccines, and their homeschool curriculum, it seems like a classic case of the government targeting people who are just trying to live independent of the system.

Chief among these supposed crimes, was that the family wasn’t giving their kids a “proper education.” The Nauglers had been following a style of teaching called “unschooling.” In a nutshell, unschooling involves abandoning standard curricula and grading systems, allowing kids to learn on their own by approaching the subjects they are most interested in, and teaching with hands on, real world experiences.

Honestly, it sounds sensible to me. It seems very similar to how I’ve learned most subjects in my life. I can barely remember any of the stuff I learned in school, but I remember just about everything I learned on my own. It sounds very intuitive. So why would the government want to tear this family apart for giving their kids such a natural form of education (other than their obvious hatred of independent minded people)?

Well, the truth of the matter is that the government doesn’t target everybody for unschooling their children. Just as it is with most activities, the wealthy and powerful often get away with things that the rest of us would never dream of. This case is no different.

Take a look at how Billionaire Elon Musk teaches his children. After getting tired of how his kids were being taught in school, he decided to make his own school, which he calls Ad Astra. Tell me if their curriculum sounds familiar.

Musk says in the interview that Ad Astra, which is a year old, currently has 14 kids and will increase to 20 in September. His grand vision for the school involves removing grade levels, so there’s no distinction between students in 1st grade and 3rd…

“…Some people love English or languages. Some people love math. Some people love music. Different abilities, different times,” he says. “It makes more sense to cater the education to match their aptitudes and abilities…”

“…It’s important to teach problem solving, or teach to the problem and not the tools,” Musk says. “Let’s say you’re trying to teach people about how engines work. A more traditional approach would be saying, ‘we’re going to teach all about screwdrivers and wrenches.’ This is a very difficult way to do it.”

Instead, Musk says it makes more sense to give students an engine and then work to disassemble it.

“How are we going to take it apart? You need a screwdriver. That’s what the screwdriver is for,” Musk explains. “And then a very important thing happens: The relevance of the tools becomes apparent.”

So if a billionaire wants his kids to learn based on their aptitudes and interests, with hands on activities, without grade levels, and for most part, in a way that is totally different from the mainstream style of schooling, they call it progressive and revolutionary. But when a family living on a farm in Kentucky essentially does the same thing, apparently they’re abusing their children.

Now, I’m not trying to single out Elon Musk in any way, but I think we should point out the obvious. Once you’ve reached a certain level of income, the government will leave you alone; either because you’ve bribed them (which I doubt is the case with Musk), or because you have the resources to challenge them in court. And that’s the real reason why the Naugler family doesn’t have their children anymore. The government figured they were easier to pick on.

It all comes down to money.

If you have it, you can (to an extent) buy yourself out of the system. If you don’t…you’re stuck.

There are two ends to the get left alone spectrum. One is the richy rich, the other is so poor that there is nothing to get from them. One need not actually be poor if one appears to be so, to use the latter approach.
I use a variant of the second approach, which could be called the SWAT approach, which I don’t recommend unless one has equipped themselves with the necessary weapons and tactical knowledge, which I have. This third approach makes their opportunity costs so high that they will go find an easier target instead of messing with me.

      Nauglers are not Christians.
If you read Nicole’s blog they tried to join Jehovah Witnesses, then decided to join Mormons, After some time (3 years? moving 4 x) bishop and 6 deacons asked Nauglers to leave their church So Nauglers moved with Amish. Even Amish asked Nauglers to move out. Just think about this. Removing 10 children and have unsupervised weekend with all family? Only in dream but for nauglers it is OK.Joseph Nauglers could be part of FEMA or Jade Helm and “helping to snitch on others homeschoolers, off grid, Christians, Mormon, Amish” and for participating in this ” theater” Nicole got her reward aka Grooming business and Joe is partner

Its more than money here, its control. its about shutting you and I up. As a for instance. For three years I had been commenting on another website, a “Christian” news website. Today, I was blocked from commenting ever again. Why? I upset an athiest. I defended Christian principals, and I did it without name calling. There is an agenda folks. It is to muzzle and contain free thinking people. To make us all into the image the puppet masters desire.

    • disq

      Which site?
Michael Snyder (Christian blogger) loves blocking people, but I just use VPN & change email, name, etc. & i’m able to comment.
Each time u change your IP u need to track it on a list because each comment & account is associated with IP address(es) & emails.

No it is a big one, always promotes the books someone popular is hawking at the time, and since im an over the road driver, vpns are a pain.

        • disq

A Christian site that irritates me is the American Family Association. It has the most censorship i’ve ever dealt with. When they tell about the Boston Bombing I tried to tell them it was a false flag & my comment got rejected. On their pro-death penalty articles I tried to tell about innocent people that have been executed & that comment was rejected. Every comment i’ve tried to leave on that site has been rejected.

          • http://preparinganarkii.wordpress.com/about/ joefoxx

            We are in the time Paul spoke of in 2Timothy, I think it isFor the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. As my little Filapino honey says, watch up, lol. These, the family council, wnd, cbn, et all are all about the money. And we all know what the Lord did to the money changers in the temple. We see the Joel Olsteens, Rick Warrens, all them, and others who sell their books and cd’s regurgitating the same dribble. I once bought some highly acclaimed preachers book on interpreting your dreams. What I got was 26 pages of text and a bunch of empty pages. saying nothing, but promoting a new book by same “teacher.”

@disqus_GJNqAkbGs8:disqus you can also try vpn for the same purpose as i am using too. Get a vpn like purevpn or Ipvanish as both are reliable and best for it. I have found a list of providers here at vpnranks.

      • disq

VPN doesn’t work on sites where all comments are moderated like on the American Family Association. The censorship on that site is so irritating. Even when I follow their comment guidelines to a T my opinion still gets rejected.

So…your Christians blocked you from your Christian website, thats hilarious! Very christian and open minded.
Really I haven’t heard anything so ironicaly funny in a long time. Thanks for the laugh.

      • http://preparinganarkii.wordpress.com/about/ joefoxx

Well, it really isnt funny. It was because a knee jerk reaction to be umm… tolerant. Erstwhile, our freedom to speak our minds is being erroded. It affects all of us. It cuts both ways.

        • mogsworth

Got it in one! Tolerance……………Something Christians, All religions, have always denied. Religion does not ‘encourage’ anyone to “Speak their mind”. It’s not erroding our freedom, it has covered it in a landslide of lies and threats. Swallow the fantasy or become an outcast destined for ‘Hell’. Even children question these myth’s,most of their answers are “How dare you ask”,but the question is still there!
Have you ever questioned the validity of the stories youv’e grown up with. (I use the words “Grown Up” with reservations).

Thank you for your words, this Christian news website is run and payed by approved and trusted chosen people to hidden agenda. It is a very sad time in our life.

Help these people to do what? Handicap their kid’s,give them no choice than live the same sordid deprived lives their irrisponsible parents have given them. Neglect, lack of education, hygiene, minimal nourishment, bullying, dishonesty etc.
The way to help them is to intruduce them to the real world and show them how to make their way. Give them education and a real chance to survive in the REAL world.Give them the tools to cope with competition, ambition fending for themselves in a difficult and competative world.
Remove them from their selfish, indulgent, criminally self- serving spongers. This is the help these kids need,it will be a crime if they do not get the chance to escape their bullying parents. Not to mention the threat of mental and sexual abuse!!

    • http://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/political_reading_room/ disqus_3BrONUAJno

It takes a lot of vetting to determine what you are talking about. The public fool system is better at neglect, lack of education, poor hygiene, malnourishment, institutionalised bullying, and high levels of dishonesty than most parents have the dysfunctionality to produce. The primary function of the public fool system is to install the level of distrust and inability to think critically that you have demonstrated in your post.

      • mogsworth

It appears, from your excellent use of the english language,YOU certainly recieved a good education, one you seem happy to deny these children. You also seem to have the ability to think critically, use the tools of our fast paced world,do you think these children stand the same chance of competing with people like you. What will be their place in society? How will they defend thenselves against the battlefield of mainstream living.
It is people like you that keep the poor and uneducated under the ‘cosh’,and why not,who will serve you your burger and clean your streets if we insist in giving everyone a good education and the opportunity to live a decent life. Education is the ticket to anywhere you want to go,shame these kid’s won’t be able to join in the journey.

        • http://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/political_reading_room/ disqus_3BrONUAJno

The majority of my language skills were acquired BEFORE I entered first grade, from my mother and (8 year older) sister beginning reading to me after I was born and continuing until I could read to them. I entered first grade reading at a third grade level and possessing a junior hill vocabulary.
What was that you were saying about my education suffering from home schooling?

          • mogsworth

Well good for you,Weren’t you lucky to have a family who cared. What have these kids got. Perhaps you can give up what ever it is you do and go and read to THESE kids.
I see you didn’t answer any of the questions posed about their future prospects. Maybe, when reality comes calling and ask’s you to step up, you, like all the other sanctimonious hypocrite’s,will turn you back.

      Family Reunited for the Weekend

Posted on May 15, 2015, By Admin

We are happy to announce that Joe and Nicole have been reunited with their children for the weekend. They have been asked by the court to not take any photos or recordings of their time with the children. The entire family will be staying together at the home of an approved foster family during their visit. We are respecting the Naugler’s precious family time and we may not have updates until after the visit. Please continue to remember them in your thoughts and prayers.

They should have chosen a better name than “unschooling” picking that name is plain stupid. That said, we need a much smaller government that is reigned in by an enforcement of the constitution.

Judging by the long list of Summerhill students who when on to success, it is and was a working approach. It is simply what many of the founders of this republic had for educations.

already 2 go fund me were started. What if father is abusing his children? Do you want to support molester and abuser? Father was abusive to his son Alex.

  • I Am Me

CPS and the state did not pull the kids because of home schooling concerns primarily. It was something considered altogether. Problem is however in contributing was the parents unwillingness, to let counselors freely talk to the children nor allow for arrangements to be made in which the parents lawyer could be present. The mother was given plenty of opportunity and the cop sounded like he really didn’t want to pull the kids too if he didn’t need too. The way they are living and the way they are applying their freedom , is scary and bring up incidents of Ruby Ridge. Use combative and argumentative language and people are going to think your a nuts. That’s the real reason they lost their kids. coming off as nuts.
Also, the parents didn’t appear to keep lesson plans or documented records of any education occurring at all. I don’t know about you, but I didn’t see books in the photo’s or anything that gave the children access to learning materials. So to compare a wealthy child to impoverished children does not equate. I bet too the wealthy guy, also hired private, well educated tutors, to come in, and work with his kids too. These kids were living in poverty in filthy circumstances were there was even issues with clean water being available.
I am not always crazy about what the state does. However, in this situation, the parents need to raise funds, get water installed on site, install a proper sewage system, at least one large building that is insulated in which they can all seek shelter in, and then show proof the kids are getting an adequate education, and these kids probably really need to go back to regular public school.
Just because they are off the grid, doesn’t mean that their kids are going to have the same life style. Already a lot of Amish people struggle with wanting to leave the Amish life style only to find their options are limited with an 8th but really a 5th grade education.
