Suicide Epidemic: Why Does the Number of People Killing Themselves Just Keep Going Up?

Top Tier Gear USA

Did you know that more Americans now die from suicide than are killed in car crashes each year?

According to the CDC, there has been a substantial spike in suicide deaths in the United States in recent years.  Today, approximately 9.3 million Americans admit to having suicidal thoughts, and approximately 2.7 million Americans each year actually make a plan for how they would commit suicide.  We are a deeply, deeply unhappy nation, but of course this phenomenon is not just limited to America.  According to the World Health Organization, suicide is now the third highest cause of death in the entire world.  Globally, suicide rates have soared by 60 percent over the past 45 years, and the WHO is now projecting that by the year 2020 someone will be committing suicide somewhere in the world every 20 seconds.

There was an article in the Guardian that I came across today that was entitled “Financial despair, addiction and the rise of suicide in white America“.  It discussed the extremely alarming rise in the suicide rate among Americans that are approaching retirement age.  Many in this age group are drowning in debt, dealing with out of control medical bills, have saved very little for retirement and are dealing with significant physical pain.  One fact that I was astounded to learn is that in the state of Montana there are 82 painkiller prescriptions for every 100 people.  In a desperate attempt to find a way out, many Americans this age are considering suicide.  56-year-old Kevin Lowney is one example

Kevin Lowney lies awake some nights wondering if he should kill himself.

I am in such pain every night, suicide has on a regular basis crossed my mind just simply to ease the pain. If I did not have responsibilities, especially for my youngest daughter who has problems,” he said.

The 56-year-old former salesman’s struggle with chronic pain is bound up with an array of other issues – medical debts, impoverishment and the prospect of a bleak retirement – contributing to growing numbers of suicides in the US and helping drive a sharp and unusual increase in the mortality rate for middle-aged white Americans in recent years alongside premature deaths from alcohol and drugs.

And this isn’t just an American phenomenon.  Over in the United Kingdom, one study discovered that the suicide rate for men between the ages of 45 and 49 had increased by 40 percent over a seven year period…

The number of middle-aged men taking their own lives has increased dramatically over the course of the last decade.

New research, published today by the Equality and Human Rights Commission, reveals that the last seven years have seen a 40 percent increase in the suicide rate of men between the ages of 45 and 49.

Younger people are killing themselves more frequently as well.

According to a Fox News report, the suicide rate for Americans age 10 to age 24 has “gone up every year”…

Their deaths as well as other recent teen suicides to make national headlines — from Westport, Conn., to Omaha, Neb., — are part of a steady rise in self-inflicted deaths among young people, ages 10 to 24, since 2007, according to health officials.

“We are seeing significant increases in suicide for those ages,” Dr. Thomas Simon, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s suicide expert, told “When you go back to 2007, the rates in that age group have gone up every year.

So why is this happening?

Without a doubt, the decline of our economy is playing a role.  The middle class is steadily shrinking, and more Americans are falling out of the middle class with each passing month.  Many Americans that are approaching retirement age do not see any viable future for themselves, and thus many of them are completely giving in to depression and despair.

But I don’t think that explains all of it.  I think another major factor is the fact that our society is being drugged into oblivion.  At this point, nearly 60 percent of all Americans are on at least one prescription drug, and many drugs are known to substantially increase the risk of suicide.

Instead of addressing these root causes, many want the government to step in and magically solve this problem somehow.  In fact, there is a new proposal for mandatory depression screening that many are warning could have very serious consequences.  The following is an excerpt from a piece that Ron Paul recently authored

The United States Preventive Services Task Force recently recommended mandatory depression screening for all Americans. The task force wants to force health insurance companies to pay for the screening. Basic economics, as well as the Obamacare disaster, should have shown this task force that government health insurance mandates harm Americans.

Government health insurance mandates raise the price of health insurance. Consumers will respond to this increase by either choosing to not carry health insurance or by reducing their consumption of other goods and services. Imposing new health insurance mandates will thus make consumers, many of whom are already suffering from Obamacare’s costly mandates, worse off by forcing them to deviate from their preferred consumption patterns.

Mandatory depression screening will not just raise insurance costs. In order to ensure that the screening mandate is being properly implemented, the government will need to create a database containing the results of the screenings. Those anti-gun politicians who want to forbid anyone labeled “mentally ill” from owning a firearm will no doubt want to use this database as a tool to deprive individuals of their Second Amendment rights.

Mandatory screening is not going to solve this problem.  That will just result in even more people being put on anti-depressants and make the pharmaceutical companies even wealthier.

In the end, the real problem is in our hearts.  We have pushed God to the outer fringes of society, and we have decided that we can set up our own version of utopia without Him.

Well, that isn’t exactly working out too well, is it?

If you know someone that is depressed and may be considering suicide, the following are some of the signs that says that you should watch for…

  • feelings of hopelessness or desperation
  • insomnia
  • panic attacks
  • social isolation
  • irritability
  • rage
  • feelings of being a burden

Life is about so much more than the amount of things that we own or the amount of money in our bank accounts.

Many of these people that are contemplating suicide could have futures that are brighter beyond what they could possibly imagine, but they are focusing on all the wrong things.

So what do you think is causing the stunning rise in suicide both here in the United States and around the globe?

When greed and lust are the “prime directive” or only directive in life, of course people lose hope.

As a Catholic I know better from my childhood catechism that my purpose in this life is not to accumulate money and sexual conquests, but to “know, love, and serve God in this life and to be happy with Him in the next life.”

    • Since all organized religions rely on the believers’ faith, they are little more than formal superstitions. That said, only a fool would be unable to recognize the proof of pervasive consciousness.

      • Mark

If you continue to interact with me, I will re-post your earlier pathology.

        • Post away, your psychopathology is greater than mine. I told you that this would happen upon your next psychotic break on this group.

          • Mark

            You are dishonest.

You initiated a discussion and then complained that I addressed you.

You attacked me, but then claimed I made an ad hominem. You provided no evidence of either type of ad hominem (there are 2 types) from me.

You claimed that Christian theologians teach that any experience that proves God is demonic, but couldn’t provide your source theologians, plural, so you called me a body part:

YOU: “All the claims to theological expertise in this dialogue are yours, and I’m not trying to prove the unprovable.”

ME: “No. You made this claim: ‘The only personal experience that could prove the existence of a deity to a human being would require occurrences that Christian theologians firmly maintain are not within the Christian experience, and are signs of possession by demons.’

So, provide the authorities for your ‘Christian theologians’ claim or be known as a fraud.”

YOU: “OK, I’ma fraud. Now STFU and leave me alone, asshole!”

You claimed that Jews teach that a baby’s life begins at conception. They don’t teach that. You provided no authorities and, to cover up your ignorance (or lie), you diverted into a personal attack.

            You are dishonest.

Catholic,,, im a recovering catholic,,, its just more BS,,,
Faith doesnt live in a church,,, and faith has nothing to do with what is going on.

      • Mark

        Four points for you, Kula:
        (1) Unless you were Catholic BEFORE the Judeo-Masonic overthrow of the Church at “Vatican 2,” you were never a Catholic.
        (2) Faith has everything to do with how one lives (or commits suicide).
        (3) If you actually were a Catholic, see 2 Peter 2:18-22:

“For, speaking proud words of vanity, they allure by the desires of fleshly riotousness, those who for a little while escape, such as converse in error: Promising them liberty, whereas they themselves are the slaves of corruption. For by whom a man is overcome, of the same also he is the slave. For if, flying from the pollutions of the world, through the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they be again entangled in them and overcome: their latter state is become unto them worse than the former.

“For it had been better for them not to have known the way of justice, than after they have known it, to turn back from that holy commandment which was delivered to them. For, that of the true proverb has happened to them: The dog is returned to his vomit: and, The sow that was washed, to her wallowing in the mire.”

Is there a point in posting superstitious nonsense to the man?

          • Are you saying you didn’t touch religion?

Heck, why NOT create Heaven on Earth in THIS life, AND be happy in the Hereafter? (Heaven = Harmony; Hereafter = here, After.)

After all, given that the wage of sin (ie deliberately and/or habitually making-do without Kind Holy Creator, known by most simply as “God”) be death, the Life Everlasting and the Mind of Christ that drives it don’t even merit the first cavil imvho… Well worth Shopping For until gained imvho.

Debunk-trolls are welcome to make their dwelling in the Other Place, thank you. NOT so for the Rest of Us! 😉

Just hadda’ say it, Exactly Once. And that is all. 0{;-)o[

      • The bible is pretty clear that it is impossible to have heaven on earth.

        • Rev. Walking Turtle

Chapter and verse re that notion, please? Really want to know, having plenty KJV study time under my belt and a full library of searchable scripture on the local HD.

Frankly, the only serious literature supporting that particular dogma is “The Heavenly Discourse”, a series of satirical essays by one Charles Erskine Scott Wood, published in 1927. (Highly recommended reading for perspective’s sake, btw. Article on Wikipedia for easy lookup fwiw.)

Thanks in advance for your informative response! Looking forward to hearing from you again in due course. And that is all. 0{:-)o[

I know someone that was on those drugs…and he killed himself.

      • Suicidal and homicidal ideation are common side effects of a lot of pharmaceuticals, including those that don’t have psychiatric applications. Brooke Shields used to do television ads for Latisse, which make eyelashes grow thicker, and makes them want to kill themselves. Almost all of the school shooters have been on SSRIs.

        • sunshine

When I had TV we would always note the insane list of side effects of drugs. Like, I have RA and won’t take ANYTHING for it, because incurable fungal infections, cancer, and God knows what else is worse to me than the potential of being crippled at some indefinite future point. Also, my stepdad had MS and I was the one caring for him until he died basically, and I wish I had known then what I know now because I truly believe he would still be alive.

          • If RA is rheumatoid arthritis, you need to get rid of the inflammation, and fennel seeds and celery seeds did that better, for me, than any NSAID ever has. Since most disease is inflammatory, get rid of the inflammation and you get rid of the disease.

Yerright! The Web site named ssristories dot net is LOADED with plentiful anecdotal evidence to that reality from the real-life news wires fwiw. (Would link directly with a proper URL, but have found that the Disqus spam sensors alarms are rather touchy these days)

The entire psych field has, from Freud forward, become a tainted nightmare and even a deadly plague upon fully-functional humanity imvho. NOBODY I know who is on these “psycho meds” is satisfied with the results – but each generation of said meds has become even more painful and difficult to wean ones’ salf off of.

Ergo (imho) the ongoing rise in self-prescribed, cannabis-assisted meditation disciplines, Ancient Wisdom studies and related supportive tech such as positive brainwave entrainment protocols. Likewise old-school non-Rockefeller-sponsored natural medicine in general. GOOD for the Inner-motivated though afflicted human; BAD for the money-motivated Industry.

Oh well… Can’t please ’em all… Nor can the Industry keep Good Folk down for long, even at its most intensely aggressive worst. Heaven helps best all those who take up to truly help themselves. And that is all. 0{;-)o[

As well as before the 70’s. This Suicide stuff, Has been going on for years.
There is more people in to days time, So that number has in-crest.

Hopelessness! Giving -up! These people are taking themselves out, they should take the wicked doers that are causing them this hopelessness with them. Just crazy. How easy we make it for the slug of the Leviathan!!!

‘O’ yeah, looking at the picture of Clinton above. Should give you some hope. She looks as if she may be contemplating suicide!!!

    • Rev. Walking Turtle

Perhaps Herself should check Herself into one of Herself’s own sweet FEMA-managed “Fun Camps” (as She Herself called ’em on Telly-Vision not that long ago)…?

After all, Herself faithfully doing so would Keep Herself Very Very Safe, what with all the razor wire-enforced perimeters, hollow-point-equipped armed guards in the towers, plentiful mandatory Disease Shots per rigorous CDC scheduling and three regularly-scheduled vitamin-depleted (aka “Toxin-Free” per Agenda 21/2030 newspeak lingo) GMO-rich meals a day (plus SNACKS)!

Actually, imvho Lawfully convicting, sentencing and subsequently hanging Herself for her career’s many evident deeds of murder and treason, if done in good humane quick-drop style (alongside ol’ Rupert Murdoch and a select few other top Ninesey-‘Levvensey Big Lie authors+purveyors) would surely be kinder.

Yours Truly, for one, really cannot bear to back any such aforementioned “Fun Camp” slow-death cruelty. Nonetheless, Dame Justice MUST have satisfaction! (“The Clinton Chronicles”, hosted on YouTube and elsewhere online, may already be familiar material to you, too?)

Seen plenty already in me own time; hadda’ say sumpin’ here and now. Considerations of cruelty and/or kindness set aside for simplicity’s sake here in this forum, though: Right idea more/less, either way, imho! And that is all. 0{;-)o[

Let’s see-record numbers of people taking psychotropic mood drugs, an overall moral decline, where moral relativism runs rampant, a declining economy-with no particular sign of recovery-and a government who actively and blatantly works against the best interests of it’s citizens. Nope-the rise in suicides sure doesn’t make sense…..

What a waste of manpower and bullets.

    • It is never a waste of manpower or bullets if military-intelligence complex investors can stuff their pockets with money doing it.

  • Westcoastliberal

For the past 40 or so years, “we the people” have not had a voice in our government due to crony capitalism. By today’s standards, Ike was a Liberal. The pendulum swung itself far right and stayed there. Barack Obama advertised himself as an agent for “Hope & Change” but delivered neither; he was/is a Trojan horse candidate. And that depressed many who looked to him as a shining light in hopes of better times for the future.

I think that’s part of why many Americans are depressed (along with SSRI’s and Opiods that doctors get people hooked on and then get denied by insurance, turning them into smack addicts. But now with the emergence of Bernie Sanders as a populist candidate hope again springs; that’s how Bernie can raise $5.2 million in just 18 hours following his NH win. I’m proud to be among those millions who’ve supported his campaign.

Taking pride in ignorance and criminality isn’t a virtue, cretin.

    • Until one gets off the one dimensional left-right political spectrum onto the two dimensional Diamond chart, distinctions are irrelevant.

      • Wags71

I’m ready for the 4th and 5th dimensional charts if they ever make them. The diamond charts don’t fit my beliefs at all. There are more than 2 answers to every question. Most of the questions for those diamond charts give me no option that I agree with.

        • What choices exist besides agree, disagree, and maybe? Maybe you should give maybe a try. Stormy Mon added a third axis to David Nolan’s chart, representing spiritual beliefs, with organized religion residing at the common point, and going to infinity, since there is no way to measure such freedom.

          • Wags71

All questions are loaded. Consider these questions:

“How important are balanced budgets?”, there is no answer I can choose such as “Government should print money instead of borrowing it, thus eliminating all deficits and taxes.”

“Do you support higher taxes on the rich?”, there is no answer such as “If you got rid of the elite rigging the economy, there would be no need for higher taxes on the rich because they wouldn’t loot as much money.”

“Do you believe in global climate change?”, there is no answer such as “it doesn’t matter because the question always assumes an answer that government actually cares and is able to fix it.”

“Where do you stand on immigration?”, there is no answer such as “stop providing financial incentives while allowing unlimited immigration.” or “get rid of the concept of countries and allow humans to go wherever they want.” or “get rid of governments because all they do is kill and enslave”

Literally none of this matters because you cannot vote for anyone with these views and “we” cannot do anything meaningful by voting. Voting always assumes that something you don’t like can be fixed when it’s designed to never be fixed. If something gets fixed, government doesn’t have a need to exist on that particular issue.

I guarantee I can come up with an unlisted answer to every question on those tests.

    • Why should anyone have faith when it shares a definition with superstition?

  • Gil G

Well shucks no one should be obliged to live if they don’t want to.

    • BW83

It’s not an issue of forcing people to live. It’s an issue of why people are choosing not to. An 80 year old riddled with cancer I understand, a person in the physical prime of their life should raise eyebrows.

We live in a world with more people than ever before yet somehow a greater percentage of them feel so alone.

      • Anyone riddled with any disease would probably choose a safe and effective cure if the FDA and AMA would allow it onto the market and doctors knew about it.

        • BW83

If a cure existed, then yes. Not saying one doesn’t, I’m just saying there is no cure for “cancer” because it’s a catch-all term referring to many diseases.

          • There is not a single cure for all diseases, but since all cancers are diseases, there is at least one cure for each of them, and seldom is a pharmaceutical product that cure. Even when a pharmaceutical cures cancer, in most cases, it increases the likelihood that said cancer will recur, or will spawn others. A correct understanding of biochemistry and the interaction of nutrients with diseases is the single most efficacious method of obtaining a cure. Medical schools don’t provide either of those data.

          • BW83

Fair enough. I just tire of everyone saying “cure cancer” as if it were as easy as fixing one thing.

We don’t even have a complete understanding of what actually causes the myriad of different types. Infectious causation has its proponents, as does genetics….and of course environmental aspects (toxins). Probably a mixture of each honestly. Perhaps it’s just a flaw of being an organic being? Cancer risks rise with age.

There may be no cure. However, I’ll agree with you that financial interests influence the field.

          • The cause of all cancers is a failure of a oncogene to bring on apoptosis at the end of a cell’s life. The cause of that failure is where the diversity of causation diverges. Dr. Sherry Rogers says, and I agree with her, that all disease is caused by two specific conditions, malnutrition and toxicity. Since the overwhelming majority of us suffer from malnutrition throughout our lives as a result of the depletion of trace nutrients from the soil in which our food, and that of our food animals, is grown, while hundreds of thousands of toxic compounds are introduced to the market in an average lifetime, many of which are used in agriculture or food processing, it is truly miraculous that we haven’t exterminated ourselves yet. Now that strontium, barium, and aluminum are being sprayed into the atmosphere in a specious attempt to save us from non-existent global warming, the time when we, and the rest of the planet’s life forms, will succumb to the effects approaches.

If you kill yourself you will only be sent back to be born again and go through this all over again. I died in an accident in 1972 and was sent back here to do something important, Haven’t figured out the important stuff yet but I know that when you are dead you can go anywhere you want to, do anything you want to and have the entire universe as your playground to play in forever. Try to stay here in this life as your next life may not be what you want or would choose for yourself. I killed myself in my last life by a gunshot to the head. I should have kept living and faced the consequences of my actions during WWII but did not. I had to pay those consequences in this life instead.

Suicide in today’s fast moving world seems right to a lot of folks who are catching onto this matrix we live in. Go to work, make money, spend money, go into debt, raise a family, go into debt, never get out of debt, go to sleep and get up and do it all over again. A lot of folks find this all pointless…. I am not going to bother sticking around to see what happens if Donald Trump does not win the election this year as the rest of my life would be utterly pointless at this juncture in time.

On the one hand: Quoted this elsewhere (re the girl found dead for months in a WalMart parking lot) and imvho it bears repeating here:

“Why should I seek? I am the same as
He. His essence speaks through me.
I have been looking for myself!” = Rumi per Wikipedia entry =

OTOH: In a large Melting Pot that is well-scrubbed of all Cultural Integrity Residue, measure out one heaping scoop-full of Freudian-based Pop Psychiatry (as seen on TV). Toss in a generous double-handful of all manner of psychotropic pharma (but NO CANNABIS, is is FORBIDDEN to use ANY form of Cannabis except as a Party Drug – ask your Doctor!).

Add as many years of Mainstream Media Entertainment Programming (commercials, reality-shows, nightly news, cartoons and all) as will fill said vessel. Blend thoroughly in a Light-proof box until no single ingredient can any longer be distinguished from any other.

Consume while raw and wet – it’s self-baking, once ingested! Now you got it IN YOU and you can NOT be rid of it. So woddya’ gonna’ DO about it? (Stay seated in the Box and SIT ON YOUR HANDS – or ELSE.)

Ya’ spends ya’ days and ya’ takes ya’ choices. Pray for the Lost Ones of this life on Earth whenever the thought rises yet again to mind, Beloveds! Or at least learn how to pray aright if Not Quite There Yet; True Will is the Sovereign Key (hint hint).

Fer Chrissakes, why NOT? And that is all. 0{:-|o[

God gave you FREE WILL…stop blaming your problems on God…its your problems YOU created!!!

  • I think people become desperate due to the economy and the depressing state of world affairs. Also, as the elderly population increases and our family structures disintegrate, more senior citizens are seeing suicide as a solution–a way to kill the physical and/or financial pain.

Prescription drugs, especially opiates, and cheap herion from Afganistan combined with a historically low labor participation rate also add to the numbers of deaths by suicide.

Consider the increasing suicide rate amongst military personnel. The following is quoted from Wikipedia.

“6,500 former military personnel killed themselves in 2012. More veterans succumbed to suicide than were killed in Iraq. In 2012, 177 active-duty soldiers committed suicide, conversely 176 soldiers were killed in combat. In other words, more soldiers committed suicide compared to being killed in action. In 2012, the study concluded that Army had the highest number of suicides compared to any other service branch.

In 2013, the United States Department of Veterans Affairs released a study that covered suicides from 1999 to 2010, which showed that roughly 22 veterans were committing suicide per day, or one every 65 minutes. Some sources suggest that this rate may be undercounting suicides. A recent analysis found a suicide rate among veterans of about 30 per 100,000 population per year, compared with the civilian rate of 14 per 100,000. However, the comparison was not adjusted for age and sex.

The total number of suicides differs by age group; 31% of these suicides were by veterans 49 and younger while 69% were by veterans aged 50 and older. As with suicides in general, suicide of veterans is primarily male, with about 97 percent of the suicides being male in the states that reported gender.”

As evidenced by the recent scandal at our Veteran’s Hospitals, we can’t take care of our veterans, so maybe the plan is to drug them or drive them to suicide.

The world is in turmoil, mankind is self destructing before our eyes and our leaders do nothing but drop more bombs and kill more people. I think therein lies the underlying cause of suicide. A military industrial complex hell bent on taking over mankind.

It seems to me that people are making a decision to not live in a world where murder, rape, assault, theft and who knows what else are carried against every day people to satisfy greed and murderous impulses.
Today there is very little for people to feel good about, neighborhoods are being destroyed by forced integration with other groups, language is being assaulted by those too timid to even listen and make up their own mind, money is just a tool of manipulation, most things you buy break before you have time to use them and nothing you hear and most you see cannot be trusted.
Every month it gets worse and worse. Now we not only are expected to accept gay people we have to celebrate them too. And this whole transgender thing is just sick beyond any explanation, there are two genders, male and female, You are born one or the other, you do not get to decide it, nature takes care of that for you. No amount of surgery or stupidity is going to change it. You may get some work done on the physical structure but you will still be the gender you were born with.
War, and the creation of disease for profit, forced immunization, dumbed down schools, ignorant media, out of control police who never pay for their crimes, poisoned water, poisonous food and an elite who wants to kill off as many as possible.
We keep making the same mistake over and over by letting a few accumulate obscene wealth and use to control our politics, economy and society. The oligarchs we have now are some of the worst that have ever existed.
And families are constantly threatened with having their kids taken form them and end up in the sex trade.
So where is the good part? It is not hard to see why a lot of people decide to end it/ But it would be a lot better if they took some of these criminals with them.

The government is at fault for all these depressed people. Their greed and corruption have taken so much away from people and there is almost nothing left. People are being forced to live in poverty and make do with very little. These people have children and families that rely on them for food and a home to live in. And when the government takes and takes and takes until people have nothing left to take, suddenly there is a problem. And the government sees this problem and they want to take more from us so they can try to solve this problem. But they never solve anything. They just make things worse and worse.
These politicians don’t care about us at all. They just try to fuck you over for their own benefit. And they want people to think that they are such great humanitarians because they fucked a bunch of people so they could help two or three people who didn’t really need help and they parade them around and say “Look, look what I did! Aren’t I the greatest! Give me your money so I can help another person because I care!” And then they get in their limo, drive to the airport, hop on their private jet and fly to their giant mansion in the hills.
If these people didn’t gain anything from us, they would drown us all in boiling oil and bulldoze our crispy corpses into a hole and never lose a minute of sleep over it. These people don’t give a rat’s ass about us. All they care about is milking every last dime out of us. And they always come up with a new scam to do it. There is always some new problem that needs to be solved. And we are the ones who have to give up our hard earned money to pay for this new problem that they say needs to be solved or something bad will happen to us. And they take our money and never do anything about the problem, which wasn’t a real problem anyway, and they get richer and we get poorer and the game continues.
It was like this with the flu virus, a big scare campaign that was a complete lie. I never got a flu shot. And I’ve never had a problem. It’s all bullshit. The avian flu was another scare tactic to get people to waste money on another useless vaccine. It could be saline solution they are injecting into people, and it wouldn’t matter. In fact it would be better to just lie and squirt water into people then to inject this toxic vaccine into people. It doesn’t stop the flu either way.
And it’s like this with every other vaccine. And climate change is another way to screw us out of money. It seems like every single racket the government is involved in is a scam to make money. How are people not noticing this? It is so obvious.
People need to stop having faith in the government. We would be so much better off without the government taking away everything they can from us. They stop us from doing so many things that we need to do, they take our money, they take our property, they are nothing but leeches and parasites. We don’t need them.
Everything that the government does we can do better without the government.

It’s hard to focus on all the ‘good things’ when they’re trying to avoid becoming homeless. Jobs are leaving this country at an astounding rate and middle aged people who were hit hard by the great recession and perhaps lost their jobs haven’t been able to find comparable work to support themselves and their families let alone fund retirement. The government should be protecting us but instead they are making it easier for companies to abandon Americans through NAFTA, CAFTA and now TPP. Many people just don’t see another way out. It’s sad. The politicians are satisfied. Where but here can you work 1 week a year and earn a 6 figure salary and get free exemplary healthcare and take away seniors only future income in Social Security? They are the true parasites not the other way around.
