Study Claims Your Life Really Does Flash Before Your Eyes Right Before You Die (Just Like an Ayahuasca/DMT Trip)

A new study has suggested that our lives really do flash before our eyes right before we die.

Researchers from Jerusalem’s Hadassah University have studied people who have claimed to have had “near death experiences” and found that the parts of the brain which store our memories fail last…

But that’s just the beginning. Via The Telegraph:

Participants said that there was rarely any order to their life memories and that they seemed to come at random, and sometimes simultaneously.

“A representation of life-events as a continuum exists in the cognitive system, and may be further expressed in extreme conditions of psychological and physiological stress”

The study found that many of the flashbacks involved intensely emotional moments…

Yep, and as you read on, the whole thing sounds exactly the same as what people have described an  ayahuasca/DMT trip is like:

Those involved in  the study said they lost all sense of time, with memories flying  back at them from all periods of their life.

One wrote:  “There is not a linear progression, there is lack of time limits… It was like being there for centuries. I was not in time/space so this question also feels impossible to answer.”

“A moment, and a thousand years… both and neither. It all happened at once, or some experiences within my near-death experience were going on at the same time as others, though my human mind separates them into different events.”

Another common feature were extremely emotional experiences – often from somebody else’s point of view. One respondent said: “I could individually go into each person and I could feel the pain that they had in their life… “I was allowed to see that part of them and feel for myself what they felt.”

Another said: “I was seeing, feeling these things about him (my father), and he was sharing with me the things of his early childhood and how things were difficult for him’. Every person in the study said they were left with a new perspective  on their life events and on significant people in their lives.”

DMT is widely considered to be one of the most potent psychadelics known to man. It is well-established that the pineal gland, also known as the third eye or “all-seeing eye,” releases massive quantities of the chemical dimethyltriptamine just before death AND that the brain, otherwise mysteriously, still functions for several minutes after we die.

Ayahuasca is a South American plant brew that contains DMT in a digestible format… in other words, a simulated “death trip”. Many travel to countries like Peru where shamans prepare it for spiritual quests. Those who have gone on such a journey have reported the exact same effects as stated above — a reliving of their life resulting in a physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual death, cleansing, and rebirth. The reports are just like what a person who has had a near death experience recounts, including a loss of a sense of time, lights in tunnels, heaven, seeing dead loved ones, reliving memories, and finally, gaining a whole new perspective on their lives and connection to others around them and God afterward.

On an aside, here we also have life imitating art, as real-life near death experiments are overlapping with a recently-released hit Netflix series on extreme near-death experimentation called OA (the mirror of “Alpha Omega”?)

I think it’s also very likely that those after death hovering over the own body experiences are true which some people tell, who made it back. The brain is not the only place where memories are stored. The entire body can do that and especially the stomach, which has about as many neurons as a mouse. So, when the brain shuts down the input still comes in through ears, nose and skin, they just don’t make it to the brain. But all other parts of the body are still reachable and when the brain comes back online, all those short-time memories which are stored in the intestines shoot into the brain. That’s why a lot of people can remember all the details during their brain death, but get some of the colors wrong.

You could test that memory theory by training mice with a pawlow reflex. Then shut down their brains, activate the trained reflex and bring back their brain. If the trigger was successful it means the body stored the trigger memory elsewhere than the brain.

I smoked dmt on the beach and wrote about it -

This short recounting of that night earned me $650! Pretty sweet.

The release of dmt near death is why i would never shoot myself in the head if i wanted a way out..(which i currently do but choose to dredge on through life a lil longer) … if you dont have a brain (pineal gland and such) you dont get that final trip before oblivion!
