Some Americans Will Soon Need Passports to Board Domestic Flights

| |

Our grid depends on this mineral

us passport

It wasn’t that long ago that a U.S. citizen could freely travel to countries like Mexico or Canada without providing a passport. But in recent years, crossing these borders has become more challenging (except for illegal immigrants of course) as our jackbooted government continues to insist upon making us safe from terrorists (that they created). As is usually the case with our government, when you give them an inch, they will take a mile.

Depending on where you live, in the near future you may have to provide a passport before boarding any airplane, including domestic flights. This is in accordance with the 2005 Real ID Act, which despite (or because of) widespread criticism, is being slowly rolled out in phases. You may recall that when the Real ID Act was first passed by Congress, just about every state government rejected it for various reasons.

The new passport rules are a response to several states whose driver’s licenses are not compliant with the Real ID Act. If you live in Louisiana, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New York, or American Samoa, you will soon need a passport to board any flight. Military ID’s, Permanent Resident cards, Global Entry, and Nexus cards will also be allowed. The Implementation of this rule by the DHS sends a clear message to non-compliant states. If you try to assert your sovereignty in any way, your citizens won’t be treated like Americans when traveling within the country.

A good reason for these states to secede from this inglorious union.

What a pile of cow dung excremented from our paranoid control freak employees of silly alphabet named government agencies. Remember we pay their salaries…they work for us.

    • fgt4urights

In theory they work for you, In reality you’re being extorted and they don’t give a damn about you.

    • William Burke

But how can we fire them?

      • Nw Christian

Fire the government leadership starting with Potus and the Congress beginning in the next national and state elections.

        • William Burke

They control who are the candidates and who are not. The system is rigged very, very deeply.

          • englishvinal

And they rig it with YOUR money.

        • junktex

          LOL.Yeah right!

      • englishvinal

Stop paying them… that fat salary they collect comes out of YOUR pocket you know.

        • William Burke

I haven’t paid income taxes in ten years. What else do you want me to do?

  • Right to the Point

This program plus E-verify will eventually be consolidated into National ID. Can we say “Mark of the Beast” boys and girls?

    • gato felix

About 8 years ago read a very interesting article about just that, it turns out that this chip is powered by a lithium battery, which in turn is powered by heat, and that it was going to be placed on the back of the hand, and or the forehead, the article went on to say that was the case because the back of the hand and forehead are very sensetive to heat, said article went on to explain that mother test the warmth of babies milk by droping a few drops on the back of there hand, and one feels for a fever by touching the forehead, anyways it was something I read a long time ago, and your post reminded me of these story!!

    • Nw Christian

Methinks rather “Big Brother” rather than the “Mark of the Beast” which is based in reglious activities. Big Brother can withhold privledges, monies etc. without the proper ID. The “Mark” is worshiping on Sundays rather than Saturdays (Sabbath) and other anti-biblical beliefs.

      lol… nice take on that.

      Soon?

      • ChuckInBama

        Steady. Soon enough.

  • tanaberrys .

They are just getting everyone used to the RFID chips so it will be more accepted when they make it mandatory to have them implanted in the body! F*** the government!

  • Mr Reynard

DHS/GESTAPO to American traveler : “Irhe papiere schweinehund !”

    • englishvinal

Right… I think the Soviets were a bit more polite. They actually said “please” at least the first time around.

      • Mr Reynard

It wasn’t the Soviet, I’ m thinking of the Gestapo & I have to agree with you. They did say,
        ” Irhe papiere bitte…Schweinehund”..

  • sunshine

I’m sure the illegals and foreigners will have no problem though. Like usual.

  • Mike

Drive a dang car to where you need to be. Screw the airlines and the government.

    • sunshine

But soon they’ll be issuing internal passports and restricting internal travel, just like in the USSR. Seems like we’re determined to turn ourselves into them.

      • Mike

That is why I know the back roads to everywhere I want to be.

        • Nw Christian

And this is why they are building computers and black boxes into all the newer cars. Next will be (if not already) GPS & transponders in every car.

          • Mike

they can be ripped out and motorcycles or older cars and trucks can be used.

          • englishvinal

1984 diesel Mercedes… no black boxes, no electronic ignition….. Hello.

      • William Burke

Russia is looking better every day.

        • sunshine

I would leave immediately for Russia if I could.

      • englishvinal

While the Russians turned themselves into a forward thinking, deal making, quietly prospering… VERY HUGE nation. They dumped the USSR/Soviet mind set…. renewed their churches and family values….

But Vladimir Putin war BORN in Russia…. he is a son of Russia and he loves the Russian people.
I don’t even think he know who Saul Alinisky is.

        • ChuckInBama

That’s something today’s Americans and the politicians don’t understand; the pure love of your homeland. We had it once, but sold it for an IPhone.
The future doesn’t belong to us now.

        • sunshine

Yes, absolutely. They learned from the horrors of Marxist Bolshevism (interesting to look up who was behind that…the usual suspects of course) and they don’t want to go back. They want to return to their real roots and I am thrilled to see them doing so. I wish I could go live there and be part of it (I am a huge Russophile) because we in the West are determined to relive every one of their mistakes.

  • NonYo Business

All my brothers and sisters… all we need to do is stand in solidarity saying “F that and F you” we have the power if we are together.

    • Observing All

But that will not happen That is what divide and conquer is for. Race wars promoted by a racist president keeps the people divided and against one another instead of against a corrupt govt….

  • unbubbleslayr

Just another reason why we don’t need the Federal Government.

  • Paul Hamm

As citizens, we have sat idle and watched as a tyrannical government ( we no longer have democrats and republicans, now it’s just the Washington establishment ) has methodically and maliciously circumvented the constitution. When does it end? When is enough enough? When, as citizens, do we finally say “No more!”
Today, in this day and age however, they are waiting for us. The American citizens have waited too long because we trusted our elected officials to do what was best for the country. Just wait until the Pope leaves and Obama has struck a new Climate Change deal with the UN. It will all be done behind closed doors – no citizens, no vote. It’s time America. Calling a few senators that don’t care won’t work. It’s time to stand and be true.

    • englishvinal

Too late?…. I think you-all waited too long.

    • Freeman

When do “we” say, “no more”? When it hurts! Until then, the extreem selfishness of the sheep will lead them.

  • unbubbleslayr

They’ll have to hire border police for those states, and then a wall, then they will be crying about “illegal immigrants” from these states, and this is how the Revolutionary war started by dividing the states.

  • GRAMPA

I had walked over the Ambassador bridge with my girlfriend and with nothing more than a wave of a hand from the guard shack. Government learned all too quickly that trouble creates diversion and the excuse to impose controls.

we need to stand up and take our country back….a time for the silent majority to be silent no longer….

  • Observing All

Any idiot that puts up with this BS deserves to live in a police state!
I quit flying right after 911 not because I was afraid of the fake terrorists but because I am a free man. If you want to be molested and/or treated like filth in your own country by a traitorous govt. then by all means submit to the tyranny. But don’t cry in 5 years that you live in a gulag….

    • William Burke

Except now the TSA/Gestapo is in train and bus stations, and even on some highways. They will be issuing internal passports in order to travel anywhere before we know it.

      • englishvinal

Are you going to trot right out and get one like a “good citizen”?

    • englishvinal

Are you still paying them every April 15th?

      • Freeman

        No, I quit in 1979.

  • William Burke

Clearly, TSA now regards citizens as foreigners, and illegal aliens as citizens!

    • David in MA

Those who obey are rewarded, until they are no longer useful to the masters.

  • William Burke

I’ve done my part since 2006.

    • Mr Reynard

      I since 2001…

      • William Burke

I quit then, also, but then, I moved to NM in 2006. The movers were on the road with all my stuff, so I broke my rule and flew.

With everyone crowded on a 737 like it was a concentration camp, everyone drowsy, I woke up to the sight of a business jet whizzing by about 5-600 yards away, 180 degree bearing to our, at exactly the same altitude. Must have been an interesting cockpit conversation!
If the think hadn’t been going (relative to us) at about 100 mph, I could have told you if the pilot was wearing shades or not….

  • englishvinal

It is an ill wind that blows nobody good….. my mother used to say.
If the benighted government mandates that everybody who steps aboard an airplane to go anywhere MUST HAVE A VALID PASSPORT… (“papers please comrade”)… then both the TSA and the airlines will go broke.

Less than 18% of the US residents *citizens have passports today, and the cost of a passport has increased to well over $100.00.

There are a LOT of people who aren’t going to be flying…. no passengers to harass and treat like criminal cattle… NO MONEY.
Go broke,,,,, vanish off the landscape.

  • englishvinal

Bravo… bankrupt them ALL… stop paying your masters to abuse you.

  • RockyMtn1776

I think the day is coming when when we will be asked for our “papers” to go from state to state.

  • jaguar

I also heard the Airlines want to make you show proof of vaccines or you cannot ride the plane!!!

  • junktex

And we still have wide open borders.WTH!

  • Freeman

It should be obvious that a persons right to travel to any State in the union is an age old right, inalienable, and can never be regulated. The reason it is not obvious to many is because the “illness” of a liberal-minded person drives them to want to control other people. Personal secession from the insanity of these people/beliefs is the path I have chosen. I take every action within my power to secede from all illegal attempts to destroy my rights. For nearly 35 years I have chosen and practice personal secession from the “State” and I hope you too will fight this good fight. I believe it is a path to State or regional secession.

  • billjcanada

Keep your powder dry and collect lead it will eventually be needed to shit can a government that has forgotten just who it works for. DHS is nothing more that the american version of the Gestapo and should be treated as such.

  • Chemechie

Many more states, do not comply with the Real ID act – I don’t know why the states above are being singled out as non-compliant.
Several states sent letters to the feds that they had no intention of complying with the Act; the feds treated the letters as a request for an extension of the deadline and keep extending it for them.
Ohio does not yet issue compliant driver’s licenses yet and keeps pushing back its plan to do so because of “technical reasons”.
