Silent Spaces? Yale Students Eagerly Sign Petition to Repeal the First Amendment

Sometimes it’s hard not to begin a story with the line “this country is going to Hell in a hand basket”.

The safe-spaces-political-correctness cancer is spreading across this country at an alarming rate. It’s metastasizing. Soon it’s going to infect every inch of the Bill of Rights like termites feasting on a foundation.

The dumbed down, Idiocracy society is real. It’s here. Now.

Below is a video that shows the ivy leaguers at Yale not just signing a petition to do away with the First Amendment, but actually fawning over how wonderful of an idea they all think repealing the First Amendment is because of reasons like if something hurts someone’s feelings, it should not be protected as free speech.

In the video, filmmaker and satirist Ami Horowitz is the guy getting students to sign his petition, and reportedly a solid majority was all for it. Even more sad, not a single one of them seems to realize the irony of signing a petition to do away with a freedom that includes the right to petition!

The fact that some of the supposedly best and brightest college students this country has to offer are practically jumping up and down with glee to attempt to get rid of one of the most important natural rights we have as human beings just kinda makes me throw up in my mouth a little.

Sure, it’s Fox News and sure, it’s edited, but as someone who has done plenty of man-on-the-street interviews myself including this one about giving up freedom, it really is horrifying to realize not only are these people serious, but for every single one you see in this video, there are many, many more out there who agree with them and would sign that petition in a heartbeat.

Yeah. In summation, it’s barf-inducing. Watch at your own risk.

The marxist propagandizing of our college age students is having its effect, although its not surprising at the home of Skull and Bones and the alma mater of Hillary Clinton. If this country is to be saved it will have to come from the tattered remains of the middle class.

    • Most of them entered college already well-indoctrinated. The middle class is tattered because it hasn’t been doing its job managing and controlling its government, like Thomas Jefferson knew when he wrote that “(T)he spirit of the times may alter, will alter. Our rulers will become corrupt, our people careless. A single zealot may become persecutor, and better men be his victims. It can never be too often repeated that the time for fixing every essential right, on a legal basis, is while our rulers are honest, ourselves united. From the conclusion of this war we shall be going down hill. It will not then be necessary to resort every moment to the people for support. They will be forgotten, therefore, and their rights disregarded. They will forget themselves in the sole faculty of making money, and will never think of uniting to effect a due respect for their rights. The shackles, therefore, which shall not be knocked off at the conclusion of this war, will be heavier and heavier, till our rights shall revive or expire in a convulsion.”

Zombies………….I never would guessed our demise would be perpetrated by ourselves. The suicide of a nation.

There is truly only one way left to save this country. The tree of liberty must be watered folks.

    • Sadly, that could be interpreted as a threat from a domestic terrorist, but there are a lot of us that are considered as such.

      • Mike

They can think of it however they like. Most of us that are on these boards are already on someone’s list anyhow.

I am so ashamed to be an american. When my generation currently in our 50’s and 60’s are gone I fear it will be a full blown idiot fest.
This is why it is so hard to get people to do anything about the rampant corruption and murder, people are too dumb to know what is right.

    • Most of the so-called greatest generation were just as ignorant as the Yalies. Interestingly, Stewart Rhodes is a Yalie.

      • HarpDiem

You are a hateful individual. Can’t you find something constructive to do?

Most folks use their free speech to just bark and snarl anyway. If they’re not doing that, they’re spreading stupid.

The problem is, they’ve stopped teaching logic and reason in the schools several generations ago. People can’t think anymore. If people can’t think, they can’t express their thoughts.

Don’t think so? This article proves that even Yale stupidents (sic) would sign a petition to muzzle themselves.

These people are going to breed, now that’s a scary thought!!!!

  • varlog

As soon as they signed it Ami Horowitz should have told them to shut up. Anytime they tried to say something he should have kept telling them to shut up, they just did away with free speech.

    • If he was the one who smudged the face, he should have known better.

You need no more proof than this that the newest batch of college kids have been thoroughly indoctrinated with the communists’ idea of how a lowly peasant should think and behave.

If you’re an employer, you should remember that the less eduction a job applicant has, the more likely he is to actually know something useful.

Scary, but also not surprising. This type of trend seems to be prevalent on today’s campuses. Makes me really wonder how we are raising our children these days. Definitely goes along with the “safe spaces” concept.

    • HarpDiem

Students couldn’t write complete sentences when at the college level in the late 1970’s.

    • Razedbywolvs

“We” don’t raise kids. “We” delegated that job to the to the government.

This can be summed up in just two words, USEFUL IDIOTS!

The Constitutionalism will be glad to repeal them from the country.
It is time to repeal their rights to petition. Simple as that. The petitioner could be a terrorist violating the rights of American Citizens. I think that would fall under the patriot act so the petitioners should be arrested without trial as it such states.
