Senior NATO Official Claims We’ll Be at War by Summer

| |

nuclear missile silo wikimedia

Last week, former NSA intelligence analyst John Schindler posted a rather disturbing tweet. With a statement that one could only assume to be a reference towards Russia, Schindler wrote “Said a senior NATO (non-US) GOFO to me today: “We’ll probably be at war this summer. If we’re lucky it won’t be nuclear.” Let that sink in.”

So who is John Schindler? As a ten-year veteran of the NSA, he was in the news a bit more when Snowden was making frequent headlines. He used to be a professor at the U.S. Naval War College, and is currently a frequent contributor to Business Insider. According to his biography on Business Insider, he used to teach classes on security, strategy, intelligence, and terrorism, and he has “collaborated closely with other government agencies who would probably prefer he didn’t mention them.” It’s safe to say that Schindler probably brushes shoulders with high-ranking officials from time to time, so his tweet should be taken seriously.

It’s frightening to think that members of NATO may actually be preparing for, and expecting a war with Russia this summer, but unfortunately it’s not all that surprising. Given some of the activity we’re seeing around the world, it’s safe to assume that superpowers like the US, Russia, and China, are preparing for something big.  Infowars also reported on Schindler’s tweet, and noted some of the provocative moves that have been going on around the world lately.

Earlier this month NATO launched its biggest ever wargame exercise on Russia’s doorstep. Moscow responded by conducting “provocative” wargames in the Mediterranean Sea in coordination with the Chinese PLA, the first ever naval drill involving both superpowers.

NATO powers are also taking part in one of Europe’s largest ever fighter jet drills from today, with the United States, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Germany, France, Finland, Norway and Sweden all involved in the 12 day exercise.

Tensions are also building between the U.S. and China, with The Global Times, a state media outlet owned by the ruling Communist Party, today warning that “war is inevitable” if Washington doesn’t halt its demands that Beijing stop building artificial islands in the South China Sea.

“If the United States’ bottom line is that China has to halt its activities, then a U.S.-China war is inevitable in the South China Sea,” the newspaper said. “The intensity of the conflict will be higher than what people usually think of as ‘friction’.”

Last week, CNN revealed how China’s Navy has repeatedly issued warnings to U.S. surveillance planes flying over the South China Sea.

While these sorts of warnings come and go all the time, that in and of itself is kind of scary. The fact that we now live in a world where high-ranking officials just assume nuclear war is right around the corner, means we should be very concerned. Wars rarely, if ever, happen out of the blue. There are always quiet rumors of wars before the real deal comes to pass.

Before it’s to late all leaders from around the world should be brought to the Yucca Flats nuclear bomb site in Nevada and watch as a 15 megaton hydrogen bomb is set off. They should be seated close enough to feel the heat and the blast wave. Then turn them loose in Vegas and let them get shit faced drunk and let it all sink in.

A more affordable, and possibly just as effective, measure would be to require everyone to sit right through “The Day After Tomorrow”. The moment people going to work look up and see the sky full of outgoing missiles, and suddenly realize that their lives are over. And the remaining hour of the movie, which shows exactly how things get steadily worse… and worse… and worse. If any of the people who start such a war survive it, they would be very lucky to escape with the death of a thousand cuts.

The 2004 movie “The Day After Tomorrow” has nothing to do with nuclear warfare. It is all propaganda hogwash about how “global warming” causes violent “climate change”.

You might be thinking of the 1983 made-for-TV movie “The Day After”. That one is available for free on YouTube:

The part when Americans “look up and see the sky full of outgoing missiles” is at the 47:30 mark.

Go ahead and watch that movie. Then forget all of the Bovine Scatology that it contains.

I earned the 3R modifier on my MOS while I was on Active Duty in the US Army, by completing the NBC Defense Course. So I was certified to comment on the effects of and countermeasures against Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical warfare.

Nuclear War is horrendous, but unless you are standing inside of the blast zone, your survival chances increase with greater distance away from the initial blast. Being pre-positioned in the right location, with the right supplies and preparation in advance, drastically increases your survival chances.

Get yourself a copy of Cresson Kearny’s book, “Nuclear War Survival Skills”. You can buy it from just about any online book seller, or you can download a soft copy for free from here:

        http://www.oism.org/nwss/

Print it out. It doesn’t cost much to have that done at your local print shop or UPS store.

Start reading it now, and keep your hard copy handy for *after* you have moved away from the big cities and any military bases, since all of those are big, fat, targets.

Better yet, move now, and then get your copy printed out.

Better get started soon, though. Something Wicked This Way Comes.

Thank you for the link. The collapse following a nuke attack, even a conventional attack, will send most Americans into hysterics. Supply of electricity, food, water is gone for too many for too long.
I’m prepped, but you are never ready, imo.

          • http://www.arizonamilitia.com/ ArizonaMilitiaDotCom

There are plenty of things that you can do to improve your chances.

Here at my house, we are stocked up on masks and filters, as well as MOPP suits, gloves, and overboots. You will need the gas mask and filters to keep the radioactive dust out of your lungs.

We also have a surplus Civil Defense Radiation Survey Meter and plenty of Russian mil-surplus Dosimeters. Since I was trained in how to use all of those, we will be better off than most.

Get down to your local Health Food store and stock up on Liquid Iodine. Four drops per day is enough to keep your thyroid healthy. If you already have a healthy amount of Iodine in your system before the nuke threat, then you won’t have to dose nearly so much of the Potassium Iodide solution that keeps the radioactive Iodine out of your thyroid. Read up on it:

            http://ki4u.com/

Better get stocked up on what you will need while you still can. As soon as the first chemical WMD attack happens on US soil, you won’t be able to find a $20 gas mask for less than $300 . That’s what happened during the 2001 Anthrax scare.

Apologies to everyone for citing the wrong movie. (I always get those names mixed up). As for the effects of nuclear war, it seems fairly obvious that the effects will be less the further away you are from each explosion. But the consequences would still be dreadful. (My “lake of glass” was conscious exaggeration for effect).

          • http://www.arizonamilitia.com/ ArizonaMilitiaDotCom

If nuclear war was really the way that Hollywood portrays it, then the US Army would not have spent all of that time and money training me and others on how to deal with it.

The two movies share one thing in common: they are both gross exaggerations.

        • Tom Welsh

What scares me most (and I live in England) is the thought that US generals and politicians may also be thinking about survival after a thermonuclear war. Which might lead them to start one. Afterwards, it’ll be a bit late to say, “Er, maybe we calculated wrong…” Germany lost WW2 catastrophically, and at the moment when Hitler committed suicide much of Germany resembled the end of Goetterdaemmerung. But today, just 70 years later, there are few signs left of WW2. A thermonuclear war would be a little different: the recovery time would be reckoned in centuries, and in some areas many millennia.

Ever seen a color photograph of modern-day Hiroshima?

            http://www.snopes.com/photos/signs/graphics/hirodet05.jpg

Compare that to a photo of modern-day Detroit, and tell me which is more destructive; nuclear weapons or failed Libtard local government?

Hiroshima looks great, Detroit looks like it was recently bombed. Actually, Detroit looks worse than if it had merely been bombed. It looks like it has been eaten by a wolf and sh|t over a cliff.

Hiroshima looks great because they don’t have anything resembling Welfare in Japan . Detroit looks the way that it does because they keep electing Libtard Democrats to run their city ever further into oblivion. They are the reason that the City of Detroit had to declare bankruptcy.

Elections have consequences. Detroit is proof of that.

          • Tom Welsh

Well, it’s good to know that all the concern about radiation was a false alarm! Here are people actually worrying about a little nuclear waste, when sites that were A-bombed 70 years ago are now thriving cities. As for Chernobyl, what a fuss about nothing!

However, Russian warheads typically weigh in at 150-250 KT rather than 12-20 KT like the 1945 bombs. And they come in groups. And there are bigger ones, up to several MT. Most of all, I shan’t be around in 70 years from now to enjoy the pleasant surroundings. As an inhabitant of the present day. I’d rather not be burned to death.

          • http://www.arizonamilitia.com/ ArizonaMilitiaDotCom

I never said that nuclear war was harmless, I said that the aftereffects have been overblown by Hollywood, and that there are steps that you can take ahead of time to improve your chances, like moving away from the big fracking targets.

Or, you could wring your hands, place your head between your knees, kiss your ass goodbye, and cry like a little b|tch.

            Your choice, Shirley.

Since you are so convinced that you won’t survive, please do NOT buy up any long-term survival supplies. Help keep the demand low so the prices won’t shoot up.

In fact, since you are so sure that we are all doomed, you might as well just turn over your wallet, your car keys, and the deed to your home to the nearest Militia unit or Oath Keepers chapter.

If you truly believe that crap, then put up or shut your cock holster.

Let the real men do the planning from now on, OK, Buttercup?

Avoiding all danger of war would be SO EASY. All it needs is for the Americans to get out of the Baltic, the Black Sea, Europe, the Mediterranean, Japan, Diego Garcia, Afghanistan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and the Western Pacific. They have no business being in any of those places. The “other side” – China, Russia, Iran, etc. are doing nothing more than quietly minding their own business; the Americans come right up to their borders and do their damndest to start wars. A clear violation of the Nuremberg Principles.

    • Frank

I dissent. China and Russia, active in industrial espionage for decades against the US and China’s efforts to assert control over the South China Sea by bullying regional countries and building islands to establish a military presence and default ownership are things that you dismiss as “doing nothing more than quietly minding their own business” ?
While I agree that we need to pull back from engaging in foreign excursions, we do need to keep an eye on things for defensive reasons. If we don’t have some presence, we lose our ability to watch developments and be prepared for things that might be coming our way. And don’t forget, the US and other Western countries are the ones that maintain Freedom of the Seas for all nations and keep the bullies and criminals in-check.

      • Tom Welsh

Yes. That was the Royal Navy’s excuse, too, but I seem to remember the USA objected to it in 1812. Besides, as I see it you are the bullies and criminals.

      • Opperdienaar

Everything is defensive these days. Drone some american teenager in a coffee

The global elites, the ones that truly run the world, want a war. They want it for global depopulation and the NWO. Make no mistake, they will be safe in their bunkers watching as the world goes to hell in a hand basket.

    • Rick E.

That safety is all relative and comparative, as when they come out of their bunkers they will emerge to a dying world, with enough radiation to poison it for thousands of years!
In their psychotic and paranoid calculations, they can never factor in that salient and horrid fact.
They will have nothing to spend their ill gotten monies on, as there will be nothing left but their empty greed.

      • Mike

They have all of that factored in, they have massive underground complexes all over the world where they can reproduce and continue their family lines until things are livable on the surface again. They have massive aquaponic set ups, live stock breeding facilities and medical facilities built into these complexes.

We can watch on TV from the comfort of our homes!!

Planet X will be upon us by December 2015 and by April of 2016 the earth will be hit by the many asteroids that planet has in its trail the earth will be passing through. A pole shift will result by Planet X’s gravitational pull upon the earth, since Planet X is five times the size of the earth. The U.S., Russia, and China already have built many mile deep underground cities in preparation for this event. So Russia may have nothing to lose by a nuclear war….They will be in their underground cites anyway……

If the whole idea is to increase the fear and keep increasing it over things that are obviously beyond our individual control, it may be time to stop listening and realize that maybe it’s all about increasing the Fear in the first place. We are living in this corporate world and Fear is their best tool to increase their profits and our Presidents job isn’t to represent the people, it’s to make us idiots believe it is, regardless of Party!. War time, or Terrorist time, as we have been able to see from the Corporate continuous War OF Terror, offers enormous opportunities to companies like Boeing for just one example and of course Halliburton for two, with the list going on into the billions or hundreds of billions of dollars! They Love to see that increasing fear in the lives of the controllable, because it’s power and nothing but dollar signs to the elitist corporate government. If we, as in the fearful, want to reverse this even for a while we can, but our individual control has to be at the same time,,, massive!
I’m first of all a 70 year old Grandpa that thinks if nothing is done how much worse it will be for my three Grandkids and the Grandkids of the world and can literally see how whenever there’s negativity around her, our 3 year old Granddaughter senses it and reacts accordingly. I’m on my first part of a three part personal Protest/Action that is Peaceful, because most important, it has to be! For thirty days since Our Corporate Government never listens to the WE part of the People anyway, I’m being verbally silent. I’m on my third day, and my Wife now, I think, is beginning to like it after listening to me talk for thirty years. My Daughter dropped our Granddaughter off yesterday while she went to work, and after my forty year old daughter’s reaction of negative, my Granddaughter for the first five minutes treated me as if I was sick. Within 15 minutes she was as if nothing was different and then when the three of us went on a walk, she stumbled and fell, and instantly I too began crying, which stopped her in seconds. I think somehow that in just those first two days somehow became more empathetic. My second part begins on June 1st when I’m shutting it all down for myself in a sense, and I’m turning this tool of fear or love, computer off, and fasting only on filtered water for seven days in order to follow a more spiritual path, which I hope will prepare me for my third part, figuring out what the hell I’ll do,, Peacefully, if the TPP passes Fast Track, for my third Protest/Action. imagine what would happen if on July 4th everyone individually celebrated their idea of Independence and shut it all down for three days, and said No, with your middle finger held high and smiled and enjoyed the feeling of only Love for three days. I can’t even imagine how in three days we could reverse most of that fear and empower the People instead of the Corporations! Maybe Love really is the answer. If you think this is an Insane idea, I wish someone would have been there to tell me Going to Nam, to kill or be killed was insane or would have chosen to listen. Latest estimate for us living in fear in that War was 3.2 Million dead Vietnamese and 58,000 Americans, not counting later deaths from Suicide or Agent Orange. If the TPP passes “Doctor’s Without Borders” says because of Patent Rights enforcement Generic Medicines will have to become black market and could effect a half a billion people from, receiving their affordable life giving medicine and I can’t stand by doing nothing this time. The most important thing is to keep it peaceful otherwise the ball’s in their court!

  • omni

war with Russia would be our last war. At least it will be quicker than this death by a thousand cuts we have been subjected to.

  • omni

first-they would not be able to go above ground when it is over due to radiation that will last well past their lifetimes.
second-they will be in close quarters with sociopaths just like themselves-can you imagine what a hell that would quickly become? Without the little guy to lord over they will struggle for dominance among themselves-with nowhere to run-hell on(under)earth!

    Joel 3:9-11 King James Version

9 Proclaim ye this among the Gentiles; Prepare war, wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up:

10 Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong.

11 Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together round about: thither cause thy mighty ones to come down, O Lord.
