I would do it anyway and just slowly implement them one panel at the time. Then I would have my personal electrician remove the meter box.

Generate more power than you use. The utilities in most states, 42 at last check, are required to buy excess power.

They make it not worth it. The price of kilowatt hour is based of production not market value.

Still. . . if they’re going to force you to connect to the grid. . . make them pay for it.

I say you should not be the means of production if your bared from making profits.
it’s kind of a trivial philosophical difference at this point tho.

The sole purpose of the big fossil fuel industry keeping alternative energy and it’s continual progress hindered is , so all the control and wealth can continue to go to a few .

Central control, like corporations, big pharm, big oil, big, corrupt govt, central banking, etc. They are all afraid of giving up their absolute control over us.

My solution would be to have just a main panel and subpanels. The main panel houses the meter and for a typical home two 100 amp breakers that feed the subpanels. The solar feed would be after the main panel, so I would just shut off the main breakers. The meter would sit there and not feed anything. You would use zero power, but would just have to pay a service fee I would guess. Another case of politicians looking out for themselves instead of the people they serve.
