Actually, correct that. I’ve known 12 year olds who wouldn’t act this ridiculous meeting a communist foreign leader.
President Obama couldn’t wait to get there:

The disputed bow:

Did he bow or was the guy just short? Either way, Obama grinned the whole time like he was on a trip to Disneyland. The whole time. They all did.
Almost time for wheels up to Cuba. My first trip. Very excited! #CubaVisit

Then you have the photo ops. In front of a giant Che Guevara mural:

Obama chose Communist mass murderer Che Guevara as a backdrop.

And this? Seriously?? It can’t be real.

Obama did the wave with Castro before a Cuban baseball game.

In fact, President Obama was enjoying his Cuba visit so much, all of the presidential candidates, who are not the president because that’s who Obama is supposed to be, were able to take time out of their busy schedules to comment on the Brussels attacks.
He did finally manage to say a few words. Obama also said he would notgive Castro a list of political prisoners and demand their release. A list exists, he apparently just won’t be doing that.
Castro still hasn’t released the 53 political prisoners already agreed upon, just by the way. Then you have the awkward limp wrist moment at the end of their press conference that’s just all kinds of… awkward.
It would appear Obama, giddy with excitement, was going in for an embrace, but Castro physically turns Obama away to the crowd and grabs his wrist instead. Like a grandpa posing a kid for pictures. Other people had a different word for it.

Ladies and gentlemen, the president of the United States of America on his taxpayer-funded trip to Cuba.
The whole thing has been called an embarrassing disaster:
