Limiting the immigration of individuals from Muslim countries with ties to terrorism was a tenet of Donald Trump’s Presidential campaign. To shouts of racism and xenophobia Trump held his ground throughout the election season and promised action within his first days in office.

This morning, the President confirmed that construction of a southern border wall will begin within months.

The American public has also been anticipating Trump’s next move on immigration from Islamic countries. We now know what these new restrictions will look like.

A leaked document purported by the Huffington Post to be a draft of Trump’s next Executive Order has been uploaded online. Key points in the document are detailed below:

  • Block refugee admissions from the war-torn country of Syria indefinitely.
  • Suspend refugee admissions from all countries for 120 days. After that period, the U.S. will only accept refugees from countries jointly approved by the Department of Homeland Security, the State Department and the Director of National Intelligence.
  • Ban for 30 days all “immigrant and nonimmigrant” entry of individuals from countries designated in Division O, Title II, Section 203 of the 2016 consolidated appropriations act: Iraq, Syria, Iran, Sudan, Libya, Somalia, and Yemen. These countries were targeted last year in restrictions on dual nationals’ and recent travelers’ participation in the visa waiver program.
  • Suspend visa issuance to countries of “particular concern.” After 60 days, DHS, the State Department and DNI are instructed to draft a list of countries that don’t comply with requests for information. Foreign nationals from those countries will be banned from entering the U.S.
  • Expedite the completion of a biometric entry-exit tracking system for all visitors to the U.S. and require in-person interviews for all individuals seeking a nonimmigrant visa.

I dont kow what to make of it

    • BW83

What to make of it? Something we should have had a long time ago. I’ll flat out say it, the last thing we need is to roll-out the red carpet for people that hate our country. These are the same people that leave the shit-hole countries they came from then insist the new country they come to changes to be more like their old home.

Any look at Europe should tell why keeping them out is a bad idea. France, Britain, Germany, all home to Islamic “no-go” zones that are no better than the third-world disasters the people immigrated from, minus the government supplied welfare money.

The biometric thing seems slippery slope to me however.

      • Debra the Deplorable

The bio-metric is a slippery slope. I still have ‘concerns’ with the whole ‘wall’ thing as well because walls can keep people in as much as they can keep people out. America would no ‘go for’ a black dictator, nor a woman, however they will ‘go for’ an old white one! I’m waiting to see, but I’m hopeful. Blessings.

        • Mara natha

I hear you. The wall is of concern to me as well even though I support it. I support it because at this point in time I see no other alternative to fixing our problems with immigration . However, what works well under Trump may be a Berlin wall under another president . I’m torn.

          • Scott Tactical

Walls are like prohibition. They do nothing but give someone a legacy. If people actually looked at statistics, illegals from Mexico are reversing. It’s purely economic.
            Hadrian V2

          • Tom Sawyer

            Are the drug runners reversing?

          • Scott Tactical

Actually yes. The states that legalized or decriminalized weed have seen a marked reduction in profits in those markets. As I said it’s entirely economical. As a positive side effect of that we have seen the draw down on medicare prescriptions fall too. It’s documented in plenty of sources. Depending on if you are on the big pharma huckleberry, you either like or don’t like. Immigrants aren’t the problem. It’s the billionaires and wall street. But, I guess we enjoy fascism too much to give that up.

          • Tom Sawyer

It’s the heroine and meth that is destroying lives. I don’t take any drugs, illegal or prescribed. Although I do enjoy a cup of coffee every day

          • Scott Tactical

Meth is made here. Heroine is still pretty cheap and replaceable. And yes they are highly destructive. My opinion, the solution for those is Methadone and rehabilitation. Not decriminalization. These people are sick not evil.

I love my coffee but had to cut it way back. Too rough on my stomach. 🙂 but there are some very fine roasters local to me here.

          • Tom Sawyer

You speak the truth white devil. In a world where the rich get richer and the poor get poorer and alot of people are spiritually bankrupt it’s easy to fall into drug use. I say open your heart to Jesus and know that you are truly valuable in heaven and on Earth.

          • Scott Tactical

Wise words. And not the first time I’ve been called that. I hope the poor souls that get ground down forgive us all later.
            Peace to you friend.

          • Tom Sawyer

I have nothing against Mexicans who want a better life for their families, but I am tired of the drugs killing are people. Blood thirsty drug cartels is why we need better border security. Maybe a wall is not the answer in all border areas but we need to secure our borders

          • Debra the Deplorable

Why can’t the american people who live along the border just shoot these people and control the borders ourselves? No, we must allow the government to do that. Why? Why is it the ‘job’ of government instead of the ‘job’ of those who’s lives it affects?? If it is truly our country then it is truly our job!

          • Reese Daniel

If the govt would stop giving them welfare checks and “free” health insurance, stolen from our tax dollars, they would just stay in their own country. Problem solved. No wall needed. That’s why I’m very suspicious about this whole “wall” thing.

          • Debra the Deplorable

I can not figure out how America went from “Mr Gorbachev….tear down this wall” to “we’re going to build a wall!!”

Walls are built to keep people in, not out!!
            Wake up you idiots!!

          • blagostwin

There are so many illegals here, how long would that reversal have to run? A hundred years? You’ve got accounts of up to 30 or more million aliens here. I’ll take the wall and everything that goes with it.

          • Debra the Deplorable

The politicians involved are corrupt as all politicians are. It does not matter if they call themselves Democrat or Republican as they are all working for the advancement of their own careers and lining their own pockets with our $$$, while thy work for the corporations and Israel. Israel is not God’s chosen people as the bible clearly states it was to the person Israel, as the state of Israel did not exist. It works to their advantage to keep us divided…..which ‘team’ are you on Republican or Democrat? That is the division from the start, when in reality they are two fingers of the same hand!

        • BW83

Don’t get me started on the wall lol. It sounds like a good idea, to someone stupid at least, then you realize the only thing you need to defeat a multi-billion dollar wall is a $50 ladder.

          • Public_Citizen

Try your $50.00 ladder against any of the existing parts of the Great Wall of China, or any defensive wall of any of the castles built prior to the 16th century in Europe.
Properly engineered and built Walls form the infrastructure basis for clearly defined political boundaries. The staffing required to make them effectively proof against any assault are minimal except for the most determined of military scale attempts to breach them, especially today with long range surveillance capabilities and automated defensive installations.
A Wall has the additional advantages of not being subject to the whim of changing politics, it endures unless large amounts of time and treasure are expended to remove it.

Such a barrier is effectively impenetrable to the average peon form Mexico or Central America. Indeed, even all but the most heavily financed drug cartels would find such a barrier an impossible to cross barrier.

          • Scott Tactical

“impenetrable” – sounds like a girl i knew
            Not so much anymore.

            And the cost and upkeep?
Since you cited history you obviously know that those walls had little effect other than establishing geographical lines and memorializing their creators. Hadrians wall was just used as a commerce tool as ours probably will too. The Mexicans laugh at us. Actually the world laughs at us. And it’s shameful.

          • Public_Citizen

The world laughs at us because of 8 years of a clownish community organizer poser as POTUS.
When the world knows that any “line in the sand” drawn by this individual is portable or may be dissolved by a strong gust of wind, that is reason for the derisive laughter.
You apparently ignore or are ignorant of the efficacy of such a structure against the typical illegal trespasser, coyote, or drug mule.
If walls didn’t work, why would the community organizer be going to the expense of having a high wall [which by the way is not compatible with the neighborhoods architecture] built around the mansion he’s rented in D.C.?

          • Scott Tactical

Small walls vs grand walls. One is better referenced as a fence than a wall. More like offense. hehe. Yeah I’m punny.

But in reality Obama had Obamacare. Trump will have Trump’s wall.

I hope Trump turns it into a tax free DMZ and makes it a monorail casino. Lose too much you get kicked over to the MX side.

          • Public_Citizen

            “monorail casino”
I like the mental image that conjures up.

          • Scott Tactical

I would ride it! Honestly I don’t think the wall will be effective, but it could be a great works project if the right people are put in charge. There is a nearly unlimited talent pool in the US and I hope this leadership brings it out instead of dividing us.

          • Public_Citizen

No unbreachable wall has ever been built.
The purpose of a wall is to make it too expensive in terms of time or resources for any but the most determined to spend the necessary time and treasure.
Look at the level of near panic that has been stirred up in so many quarters at just the thought of some sort of wall being built at some time in the future.
Imagine the daunting task of getting to the roof of the average concrete tilt up warehouse with a completely smooth face and no projections that could be used for hand and foot holds or attachment points for equipment. Then imagine the task being at the end of a 20 mile trudge across a desert where the only means of transportation is what you can carry on your back. If you can fix that picture in your mind you will have a fair idea of what would be confronting the average Mexican/Central American peasant when they reach the US border.
I know there are places where the area on both sides of the border have been developed and there are structures close to the line. There have been tunnels constructed under the border, but with the application of the best technology currently available the detection of any tunnelling activity becomes a matter of budgetary considerations, not the development of adequate detection methods.

          • BW83

Effectively impenetrable? You’ve got to be kidding me. For that matter why try the Great Wall, I have no desire to break into China. Buy me a plane ticket and finance the trip and I’ll give it a go though. 16th century castle? Pretty sure my ladder will do just fine. Last I checked ladders were fairly popular methods of defeating walls, and without the all the archers and lomgswordsmen at the top it would be a breeze.

“Proof against any assault”? 5-10 immigrants at a time sneaking in isn’t an assault, and climbing over something isn’t breaching it. Walls don’t “endure” like you’d like to think either. They’re subject to massive amounts of upkeep, dollars better spent on every road and other piece of neglected infrastructure we have.

People will find a way around it, if it’s ever even built, just a matter of time.

          • g.johnon

them “heavily finance drug cartels fly their shit in on flying tiger and air cia.

          • Public_Citizen

They also use shallow submersible watercraft.
Seaway routes are beyond the capabilities of a wall and require a completely different approach, as does high altitude air transport.

        • g.johnon

what are you talking about? we just suffered through 8 years of black dictatorship and narrowly avoided a woman of even more evil intent.
I doubt we would go for an old white one, but we need to give him a chance to prove which way he swings before we get all chicken little and shit.

        • Reese Daniel

Yeah, I don’t know so much about the “wall” thing either. They could keep the illegals out and deported without it. Seems fishy to me.

      • Scott Tactical

Hate our country? You drinking the koolaid? How many Persians you personally know? How about Slavs? Sounds like you live in a place where you only have to interact with white people. You can’t just ask people on the way in “Do you hate Merika? yes|no”

        • BW83

Not drinking any kool-aid. It’s foolish to think they’re aren’t any people out there that hate our country. Yeah, it may be the lame catchphrase they use, but it doesn’t mean it isn’t true sometimes.

You ever think I intentionally chose a place to live where I interact primarily with other white people? I don’t know any Persians or Slavs and I couldn’t care less to start. Likewise I couldn’t care less what happens ANYWHERE else in the world. Genocide in Africa or the Middle East…couldn’t care less. What I do care about it is keeping it there, and not inviting that same mentality to our shores.

No one suggested it’s as simple as asking a question. Hence why they’re banning the immigration of people from countries who don’t or won’t keep or reveal the persons background. That background including criminal history and affiliation with certain undesirable elements.

          • Scott Tactical

My point is the majority of the people in these countries are coming here because they want this lifestyle. It is unenforceable except with massive consequences. They don’t hate us. The radicals/moderates just want to be left alone. We are a footnote in their books. After the US leaves Afghanistan we will just be another notch in the landscape. Like Rome, Greece, Russia, Brittan before us.

All these countries are having issues because of 2 things. We meddle in their politics and we fund their infrastructures. Our history is a legacy of ashes.

Our discourse will have no effect though. I’m just on here poke on people who use catch phrases. 🙂 cheers

          • BW83

I’d argue against wanting the lifestyle. I’m sure many do, but there’s also many who insist on keeping their native lifestyle as well. The latter I have the problem with. Come here to integrate, and it CAN be done whilst keeping your own identity. People flock to our country for its prosperity, at least relative to their home countries, hence some of the reverse immigration you mention.

Agree we should stay out of their business. What Syria chooses to do, Iraq chooses, Afghanistan chooses, is their business. They don’t want our help, and they usually end up worse for it.

For the record I try to avoid the use of catchphrases. Occasionally one slips through though lol

          • Scott Tactical

Fair enough. I thought about writing a bot to scan over catch phrases and talking points and troll people. Nothing personal. 🙂 We prob share similar views.

I work in tech so I have a lot of easterners around me and have very intimate knowledge of the conflicts. Living in a highly diverse city gave me a great perspective.

          • Michelle

Keep in mind it’s okay to lie in Islam, for the good of Islam:

            al-Taqiyya:
deception; the islamic word for concealing or disguising one’s beliefs, convictions, ideas, feelings, opinions, and/or strategies.

          • Scott Tactical

Saying lying isn’t pretty much a pillar of US culture is laughable and shows a bit of self deception. WMD’s anyone? Wasn’t an outright lie used to invade the east?
Is it okay to lie in the USA? Do Christians follow the lying rules in the bible? Absolutely not. Using the Quran for any point of comparison is laughable.

        • Michelle

I’ve seen many videos of imams telling their people to go forth to the “West” and kill us or breed us out. Just saying.

      • blagostwin

I’ve no problem with either, The wall is outstanding, it even benefits Mexico. As far as the chips are concerned, I’m sure they’ll only be implanted into foreign refuges, no American citizens. A way of tracking them even after their deported. If they don’t like it leave now.

      • Reese Daniel

You mean the TAX PAYER SUPPLIED welfare money! Where they steal from the hard workers and give to the leeches.

  • Tom Sawyer

Pinch me I’m dreaming. So much good news.

    • Scott Tactical

Is that an Indian avatar? Good news?
I guess the Dakota guys didn’t get the good news yet.

      • Tom Sawyer

Yes good.luck to them. I personally believe humans are a cancer on this earth but we must play the hand we were dealt. Let’s pray for answers my know it all friend so one day we can live in harmony with mother earth.

      • Tom Sawyer

And may you.win big at casino, see you in Choctaw.

  • John C Carleton

Hmmm, how about Mexico and Mexican criminals?

  • Mike

omg, a president keeping promises. I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD SEE THE DAY.

    • Ranger

Don’t get too excited. You’ll notice that not one criminal banker, politician or treasonous military members have even been sniffed at, much less arrested or prosecuted. Stop immigration, but pay no attention to the TRILLIONS of dollars being stolen from the American People through bogus and numerous do nothing programs that just steal money.

It’s still all theater for the gullible.

      • ReverendDraco✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ ᵃᶜᶜᵒᵘᶰᵗ

Take a breath, snowflake. . . Trump can’t be everywhere doing everything at once. . .

  • bluesheepradio.com

I personally am not happy with the bio-metrics. This gives law enforcement reason to use it to keep up with them. Then they might as well use it on us while they are at it to justify the expense and training. Other than that I have no problem with the new rules.

    • Scott Tactical

This is an important concept. The biometrics tools are widely in use overseas in war zones. Now they are slowly making their way home. Right now it’s just for refugees. But if I owned a bioscanner company I would push to have it used on everyone. Maybe we can just make Apple release all their biometric data off their phones.
As a tech professional, I am qualified to express the monster we are building.

      • Debra the Deplorable

It is the beast rising, bringing the ‘mark’ that no man might buy or sell without it! It is already here in America and getting worse every day!

  • CorruptionInColumbia

0bama wasn’t doing anything but holding the gates open and pulling tertorists and other criminals into our country.

    • Debra the Deplorable

Don’t forget he was also wiping his ass with the constitution everyday!!

      • CorruptionInColumbia

        That too, Debra the Deplorable!

      • Scott Tactical

All major parties voted on the Patriot Act. No one is free and nearly every congress over the last 60 years has worked to erode our rights. But we voted them in. They are a reflection of us. so called conservative states are the most draconian with their enforcement of laws.

        • Debra the Deplorable

All ‘parties’ work together as they are all one! All politicians care not one whit about ‘we the people’ they only care about advancing their careers and lining their pockets with our $$$$!!

        • BW83

Seems they’re under the false idea that the average American actually wants freedom Scott.

If the average American citizen wanted freedom they wouldn’t beg for more government at every level, going so far as to live in HOAs where they can form their own mini-governments and police one another’s lives.

In the words of de Maistre, “every nation gets the government it deserves”

          • Scott Tactical

            Yep.
Freedom only exists in the domain of men and even then it is the hunted phantom. Everyone else wants “choices” and their illusion of free will. The average intellect has no use for freedom. It conflicts with their objectives. That IS what they deserve.

There was some decent commentary on here today, thankfully.

  • Ranger

That’s all well and good, but are we ever going to see arrests and prosecutions? The Border and Immigration are huge issues but until we start to put handcuffs on these sleazeball scumbag criminal politicians, their handlers, and their handlers, then nothing will ever change for the better.

But, we all know nobody ever gets arrested and nobody ever goes to prison.

Don’t Steal – The Government Hates Competition.

Obama removed ammunition from Agents for they couldn’t protect anything. Obama hated and hates America. One must be completely removed from reality to think that Obama did anything but damage to the country.

Sadly, I have encountered quite a few such out of touch folks online since the elections.

    • Scott Tactical

Obama didn’t hate America any more than the next guy. Just because his approach didn’t match yours doesn’t mean he’s a traitor.

      • Debra the Deplorable

They are all traitors, working for the corporations and Israel. NOT ONLY STOP ALL IMMIGRATION BUT REMOVE ALL SYRIAN AND IRANIAN REFUGEES ADMITTED INTO THIS COUNTRY FOR THE LAST 4 YEARS AND SEND THEM TO A PROTECTED AREA IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY AND STOP ALL IMMIGRATION FOR 5 YEARS!!! I DON’T CARE HOW LONG YOU HAVE BEEN HERE IF YOU CAME HERE ILLEGALLY YOU NEED TO LEAVE!!!! VIETNAM VET

  • lucila

start with how many are already here, and how much tax money they get for claiming to be refugees. Compare that with neighboring countries where they speak the same language, have the same religion and, culture…then we can talk about whats FAIR

  • Praise God!

But let’s not overlook that this can just easily be overturned by a future President and Congress, demonstrating there’s no lasting hope in such actions like there is Yahweh’s unchanging moral law:

Also, this wouldn’t be necessary had the constitutional framers (like their 17th-century Christian Colonial predecessors) established government and society on Yahweh’s immutable moral law (beginning with the First Commandment) as the supreme law of the land. Instead, this is now necessary because they traded the First Commandment for the First Amendment:

CLUE: There were no openly practicing Muslims, no Mosques, no Sharia, and no Islamic terrorism in 17th-century Colonial America whose governments of, by, and for God were established upon Yahweh’s moral law, beginning with the First Commandment:

“…When the 18th-century founders replaced the First Commandment (found intact in some 17th-century Colonial Constitutions) with the First Amendment, America was transformed from a predominantly monotheistic Christian nation (a united nation under one God, Yahweh) into arguably the most polytheistic nation to exist (a divided nation under many gods, including Islam’s Allah).

“It’s one thing to allow for individual freedom of conscience and private choice of gods, something impossible to legislate for or against. It’s another matter altogether for government to enable any and all religions to proliferate through the land and evangelize our posterity to false gods. This is what the First Amendment legitimizes. It is an unequivocal violation of the First
Commandment and the polar opposite of the following First Commandment statute:

‘[Y]e shall destroy their altars, break their images, and cut down their groves. For thou shall worship no other god: for Yahweh, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God: Lest thou … go a whoring after their gods….’ (Exodus 34:13-15)….”

if we had become a Christian theocracy back in 1776, we would still be burning witches and cutting the heads off of “infidels” who refuse to bow down to biblical law. remind you of anything?

  • Alleged Comment

LIEBERALS MUST be obedient to the Constitution or they will CAUSE a CIVIL war. If not, kindly leave his country and leave America alone.

You are here to DIVIDE us. We do NOT want your kind, your way, or your Moslems and illegal immigrant on our soil.

Go to Russia, China, the Middle East, Africka, but don’t stay here.

    • Debra the Deplorable

America has been divided since it has a two party system, Republican or Democrat, that is a division.

  • Talon

What a brilliant idea…stopping people who worship a radial political party as though it were a religion while embracing death, carnage and chaos. President Trump(love saying that) will clean this mess up and there are millions ready to help…..just say the word President Trump(love saying that)…problem solved over night.

When will they start gathering up the illegal aliens and foreign nationals that are already here, so they can deport them or throw them in jail?
There are many people who came here illegally and need to be removed. There are also many people here who came here with a temporary visa, and when it expired, they never went back or applied for an extension. They could be anywhere by now.
As for this biometric security system, it seems like a great idea, until they turn it on us. And the illegal aliens and foreign nationals who are already here would be the perfect excuse to use a biometric security system against the American people.
Before you know it, we will all be running around with a barcode tattoo on the back of our neck, figuratively speaking. (It will more likely be an RFID chip implanted in our bodies)
Once they convince enough idiots that having an RFID chip implanted in their body will make them safer, it’s uses with be expanded from just being a form of ID to being a way to make our lives more convenient, like allowing us to use electronic devices without having to type in a password, attaching our chip to our bank account so we can pay for things just by waving our hands, unlocking the doors to our homes, programming the wireless link in our car so we won’t need a car key anymore, etc. And it all sounds so great and so convenient, which I imagine it would be, except for the government control that would exist over everything we do.
Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it.

Good, it’s about time we started using common sense in who is allowed into our borders and who shouldn’t be! And if an actual border barrier and real security on our southern border is such a bad idea, then why did Mexico do just that on their southern border?

  • moreisless

    Rope ladder and grappling hooks….

  • tscull

Good- keep out the Islamic caliphate whackos! It’s just simple common sense.

So I pack a pair of bolt cutters up the ladder with me. May not get it all at once, but a night or two and I have it handled. Easy for any guards to miss in a tangle of concertina wire.

Shooting people that cross? That’s a terrible idea honestly. East Germany did the same thing and look where they are, or are not. Sounds fine and dandy until you realize every other country in the world would have a problem with it. What does that mean? Economic sanctions. Most countries would refuse to do business with us on moral grounds. Luckily Russia, China, and India would be happy to sweep up the surplus. The world ticks on while we’re cut out of it.

Look at how our world responds when they detect a humans rights violation. Now, I don’t think this is a human rights issue, but don’t think for a second others would seek to justify it as such. Not to mention the further divide it causes in our country

I understand that. However I do not want my hands or face scanned because of them. I am a citizen not cattle. Besides that the newer scans look at the vein pattern IN your HAND and IN your FACE/FOREHEAD. No chip needed.

do you actually think that biblical law would be any different?
shall we bring back stocks and the dunking pond? burn us some witches?
no, way better to live in a society that gives you the freedom to believe in what you want as long as you do not try to turn your beliefs into the law of the land. because when you do that, you may well be intruding upon mine. and I just may not like it very much

  • Who Cares

That’s very smart, and WAY overdue!
