That’s the claim, anyway. If you use Google Maps on your phone etc., it keeps track of your every single step via GPS, making a perfect little map of everywhere you’ve been.

We are told features like this are easy enough to turn off… if you even know that you have the option to turn it off.

Then again, deep down we all realize there really is no off button, especially not for the government and military-industrial complex that created these “smart” technologies to begin with.

The news clip below shows how to turn this timeline “feature” off.

  • The government and military didn’t create anything. Technologists in private industry conceived and designed everything that the government asked them to.
If you don’t like what any app does, don’t buy or download it, problem solved. If you do like what it does, live with the part you don’t like, just as with everything else.
I can’t imagine ever trading my laptop, used exclusively on free wifi, for any phone regardless of how smart it is. If they want to find me, the library is easy to find.

Google’s GPS app is pretty useless in a lot of localities. Better off using a real GPS if you can’t read a map.

i still prefer the old paper maps, but they are getting harder and harder to find.

Notwithstanding the fact that the embedded GPS chip will use your battery up twice as fast. Shut it off and extend your battery and tell Google to shove it.
