By now, everyone has heard about the horrific shooting yesterday in Sutherland Springs, Texas, in which a man dressed in tactical gear entered the First Baptist Church and opened fire. 26 people were killed and 20 others were injured.

Of course, the tears were still wet on people’s cheeks when the anti-gun folks began screaming for gun control. Chelsea Handler, struggling to be relevant, made this ignorant Tweet:

If these folks had their way, none of us would be allowed to be armed…except, of course, the criminals who wouldn’t follow the laws anyway.

If the pro-gun control people want to blame someone besides the man in there pulling the trigger, the man who illegally got a weapon, maybe they should look in the mirror. Maybe they should consider their own complicity in making guns more difficult for law-abiding citizens to carry. Maybe they should look at their part in this war on guns and gun owners. Perhaps their derision played a part in seeing to it that no one in that church had the means to stop that killer.

Daisy Luther rocks! spot on again!

  • All the blame should be assigned to anyone who prohibits the exercise of Second Amendment rights in a church. Even the bible says we should be armed there.

Ban idiots like Chelsea Handler. I will keep my guns with my second amendment right to bear arms. Maybe if they could keep the left from owning guns, these shootings would stop.

This article actually reports this part of the story, and with more up to date information.

Of course the media is ignoring this part of the story because it doesn’t fit their narrative. They want no part of telling people that good guys with guns stopped a bad guy with a gun.
This nut job did what all these mass shooters do, he killed himself as soon as he realized that people were going to shoot back. Very few of these mass shooters want to engage in a gun battle with armed citizens or police. Most of the time they will shoot themselves as soon as either the police arrive or they realize that one of their intended victims is actually armed and is willing to shoot back and defend himself or herself as well as any other potential victims. These people want easy targets. They want the highest body count with the least amount of resistance. And they purposely seek out a target rich environment, aka, a gun free zone.
If the victims of these mass shootings start suing the owners of these places for creating an environment where people are left completely defenseless by a gun free zone, as well as advertising the fact that it is a gun free zone by placing gun free zone signs on the building, perhaps these target rich environments and gun free zones will go away.
But instead, these people try to bring frivolous lawsuits against law abiding gun manufacturers for engaging in a lawful business. These frivolous lawsuits are not intended to make anything safer for people. They are intended to bully a lawful business in the hopes that they will not be able to sell their products. It’s a sneaky attempt at back door gun control. And anyone who thinks otherwise is a fool. A gun manufacturer is no more responsible for a shooting than a car manufacturer is responsible for a drunk or careless driver causing an accident. And any such lawsuit is by definition frivolous.
By now it should be extremely obvious that a gun free zone is a prime target for mass shooters because of the fact that any people found there are obviously going to be disarmed and helpless. And when a crowd of people are gunned down in a gun free zone, the people responsible for making it a gun free zone should be held accountable because not only are they ensuring that everyone there is defenseless, but they are advertising it as such.
I’m not sure if this particular church was a gun free zone or not, my statement is simply intended to point out the stupidity of gun free zones and lawsuits against gun manufacturers.
