Gun Sales Reached Record Highs Last Month

Rifle money

It wasn’t that long ago that we were experiencing severe ammunition and firearm shortages. The prices for pretty much every kind of weapon reached outrageous levels, and there was a waiting list for just about everything gun related. But over the past two years or so, the cost of firearms has finally fallen to a reasonable price point, and ammo shortages have largely relented. Contrary to popular belief however, gun purchases have not fallen. In fact, it seems that Americans are still buying more guns then ever before.

This past June, the FBI reported more background checks then they ever had for that month, since they started keeping track in 1998. All told, June of 2015 experienced an 11% increase in background checks over the previous year, amounting to 1.53 million cases. Theories abound as to why this is happening. Some have suggested that there may be more first time gun owners entering the market, as well as an influx of female buyers. However, there is a more obvious culprit. Gun sales always go up after a mass shooting and the calls for stricter gun laws that always follow. The Charleston shooting may be responsible for this recent trend.

On the other hand, last May also experienced a record number of background checks, which was well before the Charleston shooting. You can see the FBI’s statistics for yourself. If you look at the number of background checks so far this year, it looks like 2015 may wind up with more gun purchases than any previous year. What do you think is causing this trend? • The article doesn’t distinguish the markets. It could well be that the continuing high gun sales are due to the continuing attempts of the American military and NATO to get a major hot war going in Asia.
I live in a part of the country where private gun ownership has been quite high for American communities, with many people having what would be called mini arsenals by even those who are collectors. One of my coworkers told me yesterday that he has 45 firearms, ranging from simple pistols to high caliber, high magazine capacity, “assault” rifles. This is simply a place where those espousing the gun control premise are talking about ones ability to hit ones target, and anyone who wants to confiscate firearms better come prepared to wait a long time for current ammo caches to be depleted, even if ammo becomes completely unavailable, reloaders being well prepared for whatever comes.

no foreign country can have military on us soil this is an act of war
Under Article III, Section 3, of the Constitution, any person who levies war against the United States or adheres to its enemies by giving them Aid and Comfort has committed treason within the meaning of the Constitution. The term aid and comfort refers to any act that manifests a betrayal of allegiance to the United States, such as furnishing enemies with arms, troops, transportation, shelter, or classified information. If a subversive act has any tendency to weaken the power of the United States to attack or resist its enemies, aid and comfort has been given.

          • Treason is defined in the Constitution at Article 3, Section 3, as consisting “only in levying War against (the United States), or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort.”
All members of the American military take an oath to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; (and to) bear true faith and allegiance to the same.”
When the military is committed to foreign actions without a declaration of war by Congress, as required by Article 1, Section 8, Paragraph 11 of the Constitution, that is a violation of the Constitution, arguably the action of domestic enemies.
When a member of the military participates in an unconstitutional foreign military deployment, s/he violates both the Constitution and his/her oath to “support and defend” it, giving “aid and comfort” to it’s “domestic enemies,” committing treason by the definition given by the Constitution.

The US Constitution. It has been violated so many times that it is laughable among our Elected Criminals in Washington, DC. Even the Supreme Court has gotten in on the action. “We, The People” have allowed our form of government to be hijacked.

            Unfortunately, current budget discussions are
lopsided when they place military spending on the same priority level—or
worse—as other spending. It is the height of irony that social
spending is considered “mandatory” whereas defense spending is
            considered “discretionary.”

          • The treason of members of the military has been the primary reason why this hasn’t been checked.

    • bill lopez

Meh – I’m in nut and fruit country California (Los Angeles area) 45 guns for gun guys is nothing – most of my friends have similar amounts. anyone who shoots regularly reloads, the sport is too expensive otherwise

      • How many of your gun guys wear a sidearm everywhere they go? They are a routine sight at Walmart, and the only people who really notice them are the tourists. It isn’t a sport, it is a routine part of life here. Most of these bearers aren’t shooters, they are ranchers and farmers.

It is written into the US Constitution (and an expressed reason as to why the Constitution was “ordained and established”…) “PROVIDE FOR THE
      COMMON DEFENSE”.

The Executive (President) is ordered under the
      Constitution:Article 2, Section 2:

“The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States.”

And for the Legislative Branch (Congress): Article I,
Section 8 enumerates the powers of Congress in 17 separate clauses. Six of these pertain to national defense. These include raising and supporting armies and a navy, making the rules that govern the armed forces, and organizing, arming, and disciplining the state-level militia as well as the army
      and navy.

      Unfortunately, current budget discussions are
lopsided when they place military spending on the same priority level—or worse—as other spending. It is the height of irony that social spending is considered “mandatory” whereas defense spending is considered “discretionary.”

      • Kindly explain what you think they meant by the common defense.

        • jerseydevil

At the time…each State had their own militia for their OWN defense… However…if say Great Britain were to attack us (US) as in say…The War of 1812…the government would be responsible for the defense of all the States…the United States… A “Common Defense” http://www.heritage.org/research/reports/2011/01/why-provide-for-the-common-defense

          • The states’ militias were co-opted by the federal government at their first opportunity and have become part of the federal military monster, as the National Guard.
The Heritage Foundation is a snake in the grass. The introduction to their pocket Constitution says that the constitutional convention was created to write the Constitution when it was actually a convention to amend the Articles of Confederation, which they don’t mention. Jim DeMint has been overheard bragging about how he never voted the way his constituents wanted him to when he could do better for himself by voting the way he wanted. That is not the kind of thinking a true conservative would exhibit.

          • Hamiltonians endorse the platform of a British agent who put us under banksters for the first time. If you can’t elucidate what you mean, on your own, you don’t know what you mean.

People see what government is becoming. Some know history. Some just have that nagging feeling in the pit on their stomach that somethings wrong. But on the macro level, this is a people preparing for war to defend themselves against the globalist insurrection in Washington.

American citizens that understand history and understand what is taking place in America and the world, know that we are bracing for the largest financial collapse in world history. This collapse will take place in Sept 2015. There will also be civil unrest because of the collapse and perhaps right before but worst of all is the fact that, ISIS and their counterparts, will attack America in an all out, simultaneously strike against the American citizens, here at home. We all know that there are terrorist pockets in each and every state. Homeland Security knows this and has allowed and even assisted with the infiltration. The UN and ISIS are assembled at the southern boarder waiting for their orders to strike. People have witnessed UN personal and vehicles moving about in America. Russian military men have also been reported getting ready for something big. The US Army signed some kinda military agreement with China this year and China is scheduled to participate with the US military for training on the west coast next year. We have been invaded and most are asleep.

America get ready! Hell is coming. First get your soul right with God and prepare for WAR!
Martial Law will be implemented and the future events will usher in the One World Govt. Or the New Order and the Catholic Pope will assist.

  • Good question, I believe it is partly due to ammunition finally becoming available again and at better prices than since the last surge. People are allocating a certain budget to self-defense much like the government allocates a certain portion to military defense.

  • OR, America is at risk of war with a foreign enemy, and President Obama brilliantly scattered hundreds of millions of firearms across the nation along with scattering hundreds of billions of ammo for the same. Granted firearms and not high tech, but a few million bumble-bees can take down an elephant. I haven’t yet decided if Obama is brilliant or against us- but it isn’t looking like the former.
