Two Palestinian men attacked a contingent of Israeli soldiers on Thursday in the West Bank city of Hebron. One IDF soldier was stabbed and taken to the hospital, and both assailants were shot. One was immediately killed in the melee while the other, who went by the name al-Sharif, was seriously injured.
Everything that followed the attack was caught on film by Emad abu-Shamsiyah, who works for the human rights organization B’Tselem. As the IDF soldier was taken away on a stretcher, the injured Palestinian was left untreated in the street. The video then shows the ambulance driving away, and one of the soldiers executing the incapacitated man. The IDF says the unnamed soldier was detained before the video was released.
