French President Hollande Welcomes 30,000 Refugees in Wake of Paris Attacks

Pledging that “France will remain a country of freedom” in the wake of the Paris terror attacks last week, French President Francois Hollande announced today that France will be taking in 30,000 more refugees over the next two years.

But don’t worry France, your president has reassured you that the new refugees will undergo “vigorous security checks”.

Vigorous security checks didn’t stop the Paris attacks from happening, now did they? It was only after the fact that French police were able to determine the Syrian passports supposedly used by attackers and found at the scene were, indeed, fakes likely purchased in Turkey. In fact, French intelligence knew an attack was coming and, from what we’ve all witnessed, they didn’t do a whole lot to stop it, did they?

A rather confusing Tweet from the French President sent out today and translated as, “France is proud to have police forces with the capacity to protect its citizens.”

Um… Really?

Meanwhile in America, governors in 31 states (up from 27 yesterday) have now vowed not to let any new refugees in, a sentiment Obama has mocked as “political posturing”.
