Forget Hillary Losing, Here’s The Real Reason to Stop Paying Taxes

taxes

by Alice Salles

To restore democracy, TIME author Mark Weston recently argued, the 65 million Democrats who voted for Hillary Clinton must sign a pledge to stop paying their taxes should yet another Republican win the presidency without winning the popular vote.

Never mind the “193 million people [who] did not vote for Trump or Clinton” in 2016. Apparently, what truly matters is electing a president who represents roughly 65 million individuals, a fraction of the population.

Weston explains that “[a]ppeals to fairness have not persuaded [Republicans] of the need to amend the Constitution to establish direct presidential elections.” He asserts that “the real chance that a Democrat could win the presidency with fewer votes than a Republican” does not alarm these callous Republicans into acting.

Instead of appealing to their emotions, Weston then concludes, we must first “pester Republicans where it hurts: the pocketbook.”

But the scope of his argument was limited. What he should have contended is that all Americans should pester their entire government’s pocketbook by refusing to pay taxes at all.

With the U.S. government still involved in countless wars abroad (and at home) and financing and training foreign groups to support America’s allies — using the taxpayer as its main resource — it’s easy to see why many of us feel morally obliged to say no to the taxman.

If Weston had been honest, he wouldn’t have framed this plan as a way to get back at Republicans for not “allowing” Democrats to be “fairly” represented in the White House. Rather, he would admit that neither Democrats nor Republicans can implement their policies without extorting the earnings of millions of Americans, especially while failing to represent all of them.

Beyond the individual level, the very existence of an overbearing federal government responsible for everything from labeling our medication to controlling the acidity of manure forces the governments of all states in the union to comply with immoral and ineffective rules. These rules, which are often first created as a way to further presidential agendas, often fleece the poor in the name of corporatism while also exploiting the very base of our economy, all in the name of accumulating power. “No taxation without representation!” Weston declares, ignoring decades of this exact dynamic.

If the goal is to put an end to the injustice and corruption of a government, anybody who’s dissatisfied is morally entitled to stop paying taxes. After all, voluntary transactions among individuals are only carried out if both parties are satisfied with the product. Once dissatisfaction becomes a factor, you cease the transaction — why can’t we do the same with the government?

If Weston were honest about the American political system’s unfairness, he would admit that living under an all-powerful, highly centralized federal government is, in fact, mathematically impossible and urge all Americans to stand against this particular system. He would also acknowledge that imposing the rule of the majority on anyone is, at best, a sloppy way to make people happy and, at worst, an immoral act considering the very essence of government is the monopolization of the use of violence.

Americans would do well to follow in the footsteps of Henry David Thoreau, who arguably had fewer points of contention with the federal government when he refused to pay taxes in the 19th century.

From “Civil Disobedience,” a classic American essay:

“It is for no particular item in the tax-bill that I refuse to pay it. I simply wish to refuse allegiance to the State, to withdraw and stand aloof from it effectually.”

“I do not care to trace the course of my dollar, if I could, till it buys a man or a musket to shoot one with — the dollar is innocent — but I am concerned to trace the effects of my allegiance. In fact, I quietly declare war with the State, after my fashion, though I will still make what use and get what advantage of her I can, as is usual in such cases.”

Letting New York, California and Illinois elect the President is such a good idea that even Soros, the golden boy of the DNC, will put money behind it.

Don’t forget Detroit. That place looks like an abandoned wasteland. And it’s because of the destructive policies of democrats. They haven’t elected anyone but democrats for the past sixty years, and look where it’s gotten them.
Entire neighborhoods in Detroit are sitting abandoned. Street after street, block after block, nothing but abandoned houses and businesses, slowly falling apart. It literally looks like the apocalypse happened there.
Once the car manufacturers and other factories left Detroit, the people left, those who could afford to anyway. The people who are there now would have left with them if they could afford to.
If you haven’t seen any videos of Detroit, take look. It’s pretty depressing, but it’s a real eye opener. YouTube has a bunch of them, so it won’t be hard to find. It’s a good indication of what will happen to the rest of America if we don’t bring back some good jobs.

Detroit is the poster-child for LBJ’s Great Society. Remember him? He’s the POTUS that said, “I’ll have those n*****s voting Democrat for two-hundred years” when passing the Great Society legislation. After cutting the legs out from under the Civil Rights Act of 1960 he explained, “These Negroes, they’re getting pretty uppity these days, and that’s a problem for us, since they’ve got something now they never had before: the political pull to back up their uppityness. Now we’ve got to do something about this — we’ve got to
give them a little something, just enough to quiet them down, not enough to make a difference.”

Most working Americans have their taxes taken out of their paychecks so that stopping the withdrawals would be iffy, and could get them fired, especially if they work for a defense contractor or a bank, or any company that is supportive of Israel.

You can effectively bypass this by the number of claimants you claim… Most people claim Single 0 (claimants) for example and is the default.

so, is this the land of the free? or the land of the taxed? or is some bozo gonna stand up and tell us about how freedom is not free? because the truth of that matter is: if it’s not free, it isn’t freedom!
ok, so we didn’t mean freedom, we meant liberty. right, only if you are at liberty to refuse to pay for your own enslavement.
time to toss out the platitudes people and get back to the nuts and bolts of: “do not fuck with WE THE PEOPLE!
scoff and die or stand and be worthwhile.

ot Paying Taxes is a GREAT IDEA but, it is NOT the ROOT of the PROBLEM.

The ROOT of the PROBLEM is the SAME today as it was when we FIRST were convinced we NEEDED LEADERS with POWER, instead of LEADERS over WHOM WE have the Power .

The American FOUNDING FATHERS were the FIRST to recognize that Problem but did NOT PROPERLY solve it.

POWER attract the Wealthy and Corrupt SUPREMACISTS and the ONLY solution for today’s CRIMINALS in Local, State and Federal Governments, is to IMPRISON ALL of them, AFTER a Trial of course.

I prefer the FRENCH solution (Guillotines) because it would save a lot of money FEEDING and Housing the Bas-ards but we are CIVILIZED, after all, are we not. :-). We should not stoop to THEIR LOWEST level.

Maybe that is our problem. We confuse “being Civilized” with being EASY PREY.

The REAL SOLUTION, for the future, obviously is to make the CONSTITUTION ABSOLUTE with NO EXCEPTIONS it must state, ALL entities such as, BUT not limited to Businesses, Banks, non-Profit entities, Organizations, clubs, Religious institutions including so-called Governing entities should be COMPLETELY FREE MARKET, with no ability by anyone or thing, such as but not limited to,Governing Bodies, be able to GRANT POWER of any kind INCLUDING MONOPOLIES of ANY KIND to ANYONE or ANYTHING.

If however you are squeamish about not having a FORMAL Government, then,
GOVERNMENT, (if you are so inclined to believe we need one of any kind), is only LEGITIMATE if it REPRESENTS, only as an AGENT of the PEOPLE to DO the BIDDING of the PEOPLE and ANY Deviation, such as but not limited to GRANTING Power or Monopolies to any Person( Human, Legal, Corporate or otherwise) or by INCORPORATION of a SEPARATE Entity, such as has been done, today, but not limited to that ENTITY, know as the the UNITED STATES a Corporation, UNREPRESENTATIVE of the PEOPLE of the REPUBLIC, should be considered TREASON against the People and punished accordingly.

The SIMPLEST way is ANARCHY as by the ORIGINAL DEFINITION:

1968 RANDOM HOUSE Dictionary DEFINITION of “ANARCHY” :

“A THEORY which PROPOSES the Co-operative and Voluntary ASSOCIATION of
INDIVIDUALS and Groups as the PRINCIPAL mode of an ORGANIZED SOCIETY”

When the nice lady at the IRS told me a few years ago that I had no choice but to pay for crimes against humanity I let her know we absolutely do have a choice. I filled out the IRS form saying I didn’t expect to pay taxes that year or the next. This stops your voluntary agreement to pay taxes (under penalty of imprisonment–voluntary what?). There is no law requiring you to pay taxes unless and until you do so–then you are stuck with your contract, until you change it. There is only one signature on the contract.

  • MeccaWrecka

the IRS is a criminal organisation, originally relegated to Puerto Rico, then inflicted on the rest of us despite failure to pass the requisite legislation authorising this. You have no legal obligation to pay income taxes.

  • FollowDaMoney

No biggie. Most Sir Edmund Hillary voters don’t pay taxes. One must think EBT card, Section 8, Cash for Clunkers, Illegals, Obama Phone……

  • John Doe

Everybody should not pay taxes. Quit going to work. Cash out your IRAs and investments. Quit playing their game.

  • Mark

The feral guttermint is out of control. Drain the swamp.

  • Jim Estes

As long as we have a billionaire prez that don’t pay taxes, I will NEVER file again. Simple as that. And I don’t care which asshole is in charge. As long as the elite are able to buy their politicians, we lose. Laws are made to keep citizens under control for the elite, I will not play that game.

  • I_P_Frehley

Sales taxes and payroll taxes are largely, if not entirely, unavoidable, but the personal income tax goes straight to the fed reserve (which I am in favor of not paying).
