DHS Ammunition Stockpiles: Ready for the Food Riots that Global Cooling Will Bring

Way back in the 1970’s headlines around the world screamed that we were entering another ice age. Global cooling had kicked in, as it does from time to time, and scientific knowledge all those years ago could not explain why.

Of course the ice age didn’t arrive. Actually the world started warming, as it also does from time to time. This time scientists were adamant they knew why. Global warming, and what’s more it was our fault, we, the humans were causing it. They even gave it a new name, anthropogenic global warming, AGW for short.

AGW was never going to go away, it was destined to get worse and worse. Governments called meetings about it, protocols were drawn up. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change was born. Green energy was forced onto us, carbon taxes squeezed our pockets via higher domestic fuel bills but we took it, we were saving the world.

Scientists and politicians alike joined the collective, voicing concerns about the future of the planet, how the seas were going to rise, and island nations would be overwhelmed. Some, such as Al Gore, produced films so frightening that they caused school children to have nightmares. “An Inconvenient Truth’ in my opinion distorted the science to a huge degree, but that’s for you to make up your own mind about.

Then, in the late 1990’s something odd happened. Global warming vanished entirely…it morphed into climate change. Being the terrier that I am I couldn’t let it go, why change the name? Well I’ll tell you, they had to. They had to because the planet wasn’t warming, it was cooling…again, as it does from time to time…

It would be difficult to ‘sell’ global warming in a cooling world so they changed the title to climate change. It really was that simple.

The climate cycles between warming and cooling with irregular regularity. It’s an irregularly timed cycle, but that cycle occurs on a regular basis regardless of the time between the change from warming to cooling.

The climate scientists now have the knowledge to know this, science has come a long way in 40 years. The problem is science is expensive, grants are required to keep the labs running. These grants come from the governments who perpetuate the fallacy of a warming world, even though they no longer call it that. As a result, many scientists say what they are told to say.

As I said, warming and cooling is a cycle, a natural cycle, it has always happened and will continue to happen. How much it warms and cools can indeed be influenced by other things, such as man burning fossil fuels or natural occurrences such as the length and strength of solar cycles and volcanic gas releases.

It has been known for sometime that even small and moderate volcanic eruptions can counteract the effects of global warming to a degree. Obviously the larger the amount of gases blown up into the stratosphere the greater the mitigating effect. Should a supervolcano like Yellowstone start erupting, the consequences would be catastrophic. It was a similar event in 1815, when Tambora erupted, that lead to a global temperature drop the following year. Crop failures and cold killed hundreds of thousands.

Interestingly the alert level for Tambora was raised from 1 to 2 ( on a scale of 1-4) on April 5th 2013. (source)

Sulfur dioxide in particular rises up to the stratospheric aerosol layer where it undergoes chemical changes and forms particles that reflects sunlight back into space instead of allowing that heat to reach the surface of the Earth.

During the past 15 years there has been a major uptick in volcanic activity, and there is no sign of activity slowing down. In fact things may be set to get much worse with scientists naming Laguna del Maule in Chile a possible supervolcano.

The government knows that volcanoes can do this. The government knows that the Sun influences climate on Earth. They know it because the scientists have told them so. The know the planet has not warmed since 1998. They know this because the data is there, and the scientists have explained that data to them.

They also know that cold weather kills far more people than hot weather.

Our government, just like all the other governments in the West know that it’s going to get cold, very cold.

I am not saying that we will wake up tomorrow and find an iceberg off the coast of California. I’m saying that there is going to be a return of conditions much, much colder than we are used to.

The Little Ice Age started in the 13th century and ended in 1870.

570 years.

Yes it has a bit of a hiatus, a warmer period in the 1500’s but then it was back to the cold.

If a government knew hard times were coming why would they not warn the people?

If they knew that crop yields would fall substantially, and people would be going hungry would it not make good sense to tell people to prepare?

Obviously not. Instead, our government is introducing more and more measures that curtail our freedoms. They are building camps and stocking up billions of rounds of ammunition.

They know that global cooling is going to cause food shortages and hardship, and they prepare for it by attempting to take our guns and stockpiling ammunition to use against us.

They know without a shadow of a doubt that hungry people will fight for food, and they are making sure that they are prepared for that.

So why not tell us? Why not warn the people?

I’ll tell you. It’s because they WANT us to be unprepared. The bulk of American citizens have no stockpiles of food, fuel or clothing. The government is aware of this. By allowing ‘nature to take its course’ they can achieve the massive reduction in population they desire. They can fulfil their Agenda 21 targets.

The camps will house those that will be re-educated, taught to run the essential facilities required to keep the country going. The FEMA camps are a thin disguise for labor camps, work equals food. The minions will do this under the guidance of the irresponsible, government paid scientists who have been guaranteed a place on the Camp FEMA Ark.

As for the rest of us, well they don’t care as long as we can’t shoot back.

Honestly, who cares? I hope it DOES affect these people, ESPECIALLY the ones who were screaming about “gun control”…let’s see how long they survive in the ugly, real world without their hand-outs.

As Blaise Pascal once noted, once science is divorced from ethics, scientists will use their skills to pursue power, not truth. The following paper is a case study in this exact issue. What is behind the global warming? The same thing that was behind the global cooling scare of the 1970s: The 1974 Club of Rome report titled, Mankind at the Turning Point stated, “The real enemy then, is humanity itself.” Their solution was simple – engineer a massive reduction in population and utterly change the socio-economic system through centralized planning via total government control. And yes, this does smack of being called “The Final Solution” to me, too. This “man is the enemy” was reiterated by the Club of Rome in 1993, as well, when they stated in their The First Global Revolution, downloadable at http://www.scribd.com/doc/2297152/Alexander-King-Bertrand-Schneider-The-First-Global-Revolution-Club-of-Rome-1993-Edition that “In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill….All these dangers are caused by human intervention, and it is only through changed attitudes and behavior that they can be overcome. The real enemy then, is humanity itself.”
“We came up with the idea??” In other words, a conclusion had already been reached, and now they needed to create a “reason” to support their unsupported – and as Julian Simon provisionally demonstrated, possibly false – a priori assumptions. Do not try this technique in any school paper you may attempt, or you will be failed!
As Robert Zubrin observed, to the warmers, “… each new life is unwelcome, each unregulated thought or act is menace, every person is fundamentally the enemy of every other person, and each race or nation is the enemy of every other race or nation.” Perhaps it is put most clearly by the World Wildlife Fund Living Plant Report of 2012, which Lewis Page summarizes in the May 16, 2012 edition of the Register that “economic growth should be abandoned, (and) citizens of the world’s wealthy nations should prepare for poverty.” The rich, of course, are especially bad, as the Education for Sustainable Development Toolkit, by Rosalyn McKeown, found at http://www.esdtoolkit.org/ tells us: “Generally, more highly educated people who have higher incomes, consume more resources than poorly educated people, who tend to have lower incomes. In this case, more education increases the threat to sustainability.” Of course, individual rights are verboten, given the Malthusian threat to the earth. As Harvey Ruvin, Vice-chair of International Committee for Local Environment Initiatives (ICLEI), a group that wants to impose the green agenda on everyone has noted, “Individual rights must take a back seat to the collective.” Pol Pot, move over. (Incidentally, the Malthusians might want to get a clue, as between 30 and 50 percent of all food produced globally, equivalent to two billion tons, is thrown away each year according to a recent report written by the UK-based Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IME), titled ‘Global Food; Waste Not, Want Not’, found at http://www.imeche.org/Libraries/Reports/IMechE_Global_Food_Report.sflb.ashx. Of course, per the usually PC Time Magazine, the Malthusians are doubly wrong, as “…it turns out the world’s population isn’t growing nearly as fast as it once did. In fact, experts say the rate of population growth will continue to slow and that the total population will eventually — likely within our lifetimes — fall.” http://newsfeed.time.com/2013/01/11/overcrowding-nah-the-worlds-population-may-actually-be-declining/

Farley Mowat, the noted Canadian leftist and Greenpeace activist, wrote in his book West Viking (written while we were still in the global cooling scare) that there were probably at least dwarf forests growing in Greenland when the Vikings arrived in 985 AD and the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History reports “… Erik the Red discovered two areas of southwest Greenland which were suitable for farming, with grasslands and small stands of alder and birch.” You will note that it is too cold today for any type of forests to grow in Greenland, and there is zero ability to farm. Mowat also reported the Arctic pack ice was much less in that Viking discovery era than today. Dr. Fred Singer writes that when the Vikings first settled Greenland, they grew vegetables, and it was warm enough to allow the population to grow to 3,000 people and by 1100 AD the place was thriving enough that they had their own bishop and twelve churches. Nature reported in a 2010 article that clamshell studies also confirm Norse records. Meanwhile, the Archeological Survey of Canada has also noted around “A.D. 1000, a warmer climate resulted in the tree line advancing 100 kilometres north of its present position.” Yet, in the 1100s, Greenland cooled dramatically, briefly stabilized, and then dropped even further in the 1200s to the early 1400s. As Dale Mackenzie Brown writes “An ice core drilled from the island’s massive icecap between 1992 and 1993 shows a decided cooling off in the Western Settlement during the mid-fourteenth century” . Indeed, when I was visiting Iceland at Skaftafell Nat’l Park two years ago, Icelandic historians know from extant deeds – and have put in the displays at the park – that somewhere around FORTY old Viking era farms are currently buried under the Vatnajokull glacier system (the largest in the world outside of Greenland and Antarctica). In other words, it was simply much warmer in the Icelandic settlement era than it is today. We are routinely informed of the melting of Greenland glaciers today at lower altitudes, but demonstrably there are at bare minimum low altitude glaciers in roughly the same geographic area that had seen more melting and more pronounced glacial recession one thousand years ago than we see today. Al Gore may want to visit Skaftafell National Park in Iceland on one of his many jet-setting, carbon burning trips to check the facts himself. More evidence: There are records of grape growing occurring in places in northern Europe back during this optimum where they can’t grow today. Gregory McNamee, in the Weather Guide Calendar (Accord Publishing, 2002) noted that wine connoisseurs might have gone to England for fine vintages (can’t grow fine vintage grapes there today!), that heat loving trees like beeches carpeted Europe far into Scandinavia, and Viking ships crossed iceberg free oceans to ice free harbors in England…”. Art Horn writes that “In the winter of 1249 it was so warm in England that people did not need winter clothes. They walked about in summer dress. It was so warm people thought the seasons had changed. There was no frost in England the entire winter. Can you imagine what NOAA would say if that happened next year? “ On the other side of the world, research by Panin and Nefedov in 2010, where they analyzed rivers and lakes in the Upper Volga and Upper Zapadnaya Dvina areas in Russia, also found evidence of a Medieval climatic optimum in that part of the world Even worse for the warmers, recent research has found evidence for the Medieval Climatic Optimum in the central Peruvian Andes – see http://www.nipccreport.org/articles/2011/sep/21sep2011a3.html, southern South America, see http://www.nipccreport.org/articles/2011/dec/14dec2011a4.html, China, see, http://www.nipccreport.org/articles/2012/jan/18jan2012a4.html, where the author XJ Zhou notes “temperatures in the Medieval Warm Period are comparable to those in the current warm period over China,” and Antarctica, Li, Y., Cole-Dai, J. and Zhou, L. 2009. Glaciochemical evidence in an East Antarctica ice core of a recent (AD 1450-1850) neoglacial episode. Journal of Geophysical Research 114: 10.1029/2008JD011091 (summarized at http://www.nipccreport.org/articles/2011/sep/20sep2011a5.html). Amazingly, there is even clear evidence of the LIA and MWP in Antarctica- see http://motls.blogspot.com/2012/03/paper-antarctica-did-experience-both.html#more as well as Western Canada, as illustrated by the picture of a white spruce stump (Picea glauca) found on Canada’s Arctic Ocean on the tundra ****some 100km north of the current treeline.**** Photo by Professor Ritchie (University of Toronto). Please see Dr Tim Ball’s website for actual picture, as I can’t paste it here. Radiocarbon date was 4940 ±140 years Before Present (BP), and was featured in Hubert Lamb’s classic work Climate, Present, Past and Future.
Another study, by earth sciences professor Zunli Lu (formerly of Oxford, now at Syracuse Univ.), studied samples of crystal called ikaite, which forms in cold water, and will melt at room temperature. Samples were taken by Lu and colleagues, examined for variation caused by temperature fluctuations during formation, and dated. The result? Lu writes: “This ikaite record qualitatively supports that both the Medieval Warm Period and Little Ice Age extended to the Antarctic Peninsula.” What does this mean? It means that the MWP was not simply a localized event in northern Europe, or even the northern hemisphere. And if it was as warm 1,000 years ago as now all over the world, Al Gore is simply wrong. In 2008 my wife and I were on a flight back to Vancouver. We were fortunate to sit in the first row with more legroom and in the window seat was a tall, older, grey haired gentleman. He was impecably dressed in an expensive suit, white shirt and tie. A the flight progressed, I started a conversation with him, and I was pleasantly surprised to find out that he was an eminent geophysicist who had studied the Canadian north for years. He also consulted with the Canadian Government about the dynamics of northern weather and other factors which he didn’t discuss.

I am an electrical engineer and have some understanding of geology etc., so our conversation eventually turned to global warming.

He emphatically stated, “Global warming is a lie. All the glaciers in the north are ascending, not receding.” He had personally been up north many times and had studied the glaciers first hand.

He also confirmed the general context of your post.

There are people out there who know the truth, but they do not come forward. Why, I’m not sure, but I can guess. That’s for another time.

    Keep up the good work.

Very good article,I myself have felt that most of this climate control propaganda is bunk!It appears that everything that the governments of the world are trying to do is control the population of their own countries more and more, this cooling off of the world is one of the possibilities. If ya’ll haven’t seen it, watch “Day After Tommorrow”,it is a little inciteful as to part of this.On our local TV station WDAM in Mississippi, they show on the weather section, about records were set on highs and lows over the years on the day that they are reporting,a lot of the records shown are from the 1950’s for the highs, and a lot of the lows are from the late 1990’s and into the 2000’s,this explains to me that yes we are indeed cooling off.As for the gun control movement and the government pushing for gun confiscation,it will continue until there will be a civil war pushed on us by the government, and this may even come before the food riots, because they will push the people only so far and then the people will push back!Be prepared and ready.Keep your powder dry.

Finally , someone who gets it about the phrase , Climate Change , Thank you.
