This illustrates the heart of the problem with the way governance is conducted in this country. We don’t govern where the rights of the individual are respected and exalted.

No, we live in a banana republic where our non-representing Representatives know what’s best for us, and force THEIR will down OUR throats…. regardless of your RIGHT to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

This is a bill that does nothing but promote feudalism and obedience under a jack-boot and at the end of the barrel of a gun.

We are fast approaching the stage of the ultimate
inversion: the stage where the government is free to do anything it
pleases, while the citizens may act only by permission; which is the
stage of the darkest periods of human history, the stage of rule by
    brute force. –Ayn Rand

    • Arrow

I’m as mad as hell, and I’m not going to take this anymore!

      • Howard Beale

I don’t have to tell you things are bad. Everybody knows things are bad.
It’s a depression. Everybody’s out of work or scared of losing their
job. The dollar buys a nickel’s worth, banks are going bust, shopkeepers
keep a gun under the counter. Punks are running wild in the street and
there’s nobody anywhere who seems to know what to do, and there’s no end
        to it.

We know the air is unfit to breathe and our food is unfit to
eat, and we sit watching our TV’s while some local newscaster tells us
that today we had fifteen homicides and sixty-three violent crimes, as
if that’s the way it’s supposed to be. We know things are bad – worse
than bad. They’re crazy. It’s like everything everywhere is going crazy,
so we don’t go out anymore. We sit in the house, and slowly the world
we are living in is getting smaller, and all we say is, ‘Please, at
least leave us alone in our living rooms. Let me have my toaster and my
TV and my steel-belted radials and I won’t say anything. Just leave us
        alone.’

Well, I’m not gonna leave you alone. I want you to get mad! I
don’t want you to protest. I don’t want you to riot – I don’t want you
to write to your congressman because I wouldn’t know what to tell you to
write. I don’t know what to do about the depression and the inflation
and the Russians and the crime in the street. All I know is that first
you’ve got to get mad. You’ve got to say, ‘I’m a HUMAN BEING, God damn
        it! My life has VALUE!’

The globalists are like farmers crop rotating countries.

          • g.johnon

then how come they can never get anything worthwhile to grow?

          • Lbt
          • Howard Beale

But, man, you’re never going to get any truth from us. We’ll tell you
anything you want to hear; we lie like hell. We’ll tell you that, uh,
Kojak always gets the killer, or that nobody ever gets cancer at Archie
Bunker’s house, and no matter how much trouble the hero is in, don’t
worry, just look at your watch; at the end of the hour he’s going to
win. We’ll tell you any shit you want to hear. We deal in *illusions*,
man! None of it is true! But you people sit there, day after day, night
after night, all ages, colors, creeds… We’re all you know. You’re
beginning to believe the illusions we’re spinning here. You’re beginning
to think that the tube is reality, and that your own lives are unreal.
You do whatever the tube tells you! You dress like the tube, you eat
like the tube, you raise your children like the tube, you even *think*
like the tube! This is mass madness, you maniacs! In God’s name, you
people are the real thing! *WE* are the illusion! So turn off your
television sets. Turn them off now. Turn them off right now. T

Good job. Seeing much of the conversation below, one get’s the impression that most do not know where that came from. I remember it vividly. Saw Network in 1981. Peter Finch’s performance was on-point. I’ll have to see if I can find it online so I can watch it again. Cheers.

    • renee ciccioni

Agree thanks to big business taking over our government ,we are becoming America the great plantation .

      • jim_robert

That is the definition of fascism: the merger of the socialist state combined with crony, co-opted big business

        • renee ciccioni

The definition of socialism is – The creation and distribution of all goods is controlled by and shared by all. The definition of fascism is a far right form of government that is sympathetic to only wealth and extreme authoritarian principles most often in the form intolerance, there by placing our current government in the direction of fascism.

          • Howard Beale

Wrong. Mussolini, a guy who knew something about fascism said “Fascism should more properly be called corporatism, since it is the merger of state and corporate power.”

          • renee ciccioni

We have been fascist for quite sometime then because that arrangement has been since the 80s and has become more pronounced up to now ,and now we have a corporate guy for president so now by Mussolini’s definition we are now under a full fledged fascist government, we have the authoritarian intolerant guy to prove it.

          • Lbt

It’s all about the financial system. If you stop paying judges, soldiers and police officers the system collapse. It’s ALL about protecting the financial system which is just a mathematical scam that people have come to believe is the status quo.

        • Lbt

Democracy is the illusion of choice.

    • THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH YOU DON’ FA

We are already there my friend. 1776 2.0 is long overdue

      • Lbt

Good luck against the military industrial complex. The system does not need to come to your farm, they’ve changed the whole world around you whilst you were busy protecting yourself.

    • Lbt

The 2nd amendment is useless. The 2nd is about being able to hold government to account and for the people to protect themselves against tyrannical governments. How is an AR 15 going to stand up against a stealth bomber or a nuclear powered sub?

      • g.johnon

the second amendment is a reminder of who we are, and of our sovereignty, even though tptb try to ignore it and to sweep it aside, it is still there, and won’t go away. it doesn’t even really need our protection because it exclaims a truth that cannot be denied. it is also our license to refresh the tree of liberty as should be needed.
it is a long long way from useless lbt.

        • Lbt

It was written at a time when the people had access to the the same military capabilities as the government. A thousand men could take a ships and cannons and change a regime. Today’s elite are so deeply embedded in layers of protection that if the people tries to refresh anything they’d only hurt themselves.

          • g.johnon

yeah, now its hard and we should give up.

          • Lbt

No, would have been good to keep the 2nd inline with it’s original purpose and not allow the Military to outpace the people. Yes, I know there is a law forbidding the Military to confront the people, but NO weapon ever created has not been used.

  • Bruce David

NJ came up as one of our Top 10 most anti-freedom states in a survey we conducted last year primarily due to their outrageous anti-gun laws [they even arrested an out-of-state man driving through who had a 100 year old flintlock in his trunk and charged him with concealed weapons felony. Public outrage got him off but this is an example of their outrageous BS anti-citizen behavior] We sold our beach side condo in Ocean City as we no longer want to contribute any money to this government.

  • Right to the Point

“No, we live in a banana republic where our non-representing Representatives know what’s best for us, and force THEIR will down OUR throats….” Actually, it’s the globalist corporate raiders that “Knows what is best for us.” They are up front with the re-election money and get their collective way…..

  • Joe Joseph: We should be teaching our children their rights!

Have you ever considered that “our rights” might be part of the problem rather than the solution?

America was, in fact, sold down the river when the 18th-century founding fathers replaced Biblical responsibilities with Enlightenment rights. Nothing illustrates this better than the Second Amendment.

Think about it: The Amendment WITH the wording “shall not be infringed” is the MOST infringed, licensed, and limited Amendment of the entire twenty seven.
Furthermore, a future generation of our posterity is likely to see the Second Amendment whittled away entirely or repealed altogether. This is inherent nature and danger of optional Enlightenment rights versus non-optional Biblical responsibilities, such as the following:

“Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword [or
today’s equivalent in their hand; to execute vengeance upon the heathen, and
punishments upon the people; to bind their kings with chains, and their nobles
with fetters of iron; to execute upon them the judgment written: this honour
have all his saints. Praise ye Yah.” (Psalm 149:6-9)

“But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own
house [including spiritual and physical protection], he hath denied the faith,
and is worse than an infidel.” (1 Timothy 5:8)

  • anonymous4u4me

All of my rights come from God almighty, no government or person gives or takes any rights from me. But having taken God almighty out of the lives of most, this is what you can expect not only from your elected officials to dictate your lives, but for most people to freely except it. The downfall started with the civil war. was further sliding by giving women the right to vote, was eroded to the point of no return when you allowed public service to become a career, and those scumbags that think they have the right to dictate to you and pass laws they themselves do not have to obey remain in office. You the people have become so docile, weak, and cowardly you would make our forefathers ashamed of you. The forefathers further backed the knowledge of all freedom comes from god. So to all you true men, this is not meant for you, but to you weak sucks that have no backbone, or courage you have been a traitor to God almighty, the founding fathers and mankind in general. Now hows this post for politically correct? New Jersey, New York, California, lead the pack with above mentioned cowards and scum.

    • Doran Zeigler

You are just a bloviating make-believe “patriot.” When the troops are on the street with their tanks and overwhelming firepower and numbers, you will do what everyone else does — complain, complain, and complain some more. What are you going to do, fight them with your 12 gauge or 357 magnum? Not when you know that they will frag your ass just as fast as a Louisiana cop guns down a man for being black.

Most of the population in this country are descendants of all types of immigrants have have no American forefathers to speak of. I never read in history where Franklin, Hancock, Jefferson, or any of the other rich land owners joined the minutemen. The left the fighting and dying to the sons of the poorer immigrants who came to these shores looking to get rich.

      • anonymous4u4me

I am not a patriot to any govt. so you are so wrong, real men know about freedom, and some would rather be dead then live like an ant, or bee. The bullet that rips through my chest will be a blessing, and I hope before I take my last breath, I can thank God for it. Some are not afraid of death, they welcome it as we are not of this world. There is no good about life on this earth and in order to live, one must die first. If you love this earth, this life then you will fear death and that is the problem, most will not make a stand for they love this place and life to much. Better to die a man on your feet then a slave on your knees. Before you comment on what another may or may not do, I would suggest you have more knowledge of that individual, for your are just pissing in the wind.

    • renee ciccioni

You mean the forefathers who said no man shall be another man’s slave then owned slaves the forefathers who lead one violent act against the native peoples of the “founded” nation the same forefathers who belonged to Masonic Temples while saying they believed in scriptural teachings. There was no great moment of freedom in this country for anyone common .

    • g.johnon

not bad for the most part anon, but what the hell do you have against women voting? and exactly which god almighty would you happen to be referring to?

  • John C Carleton

New Jersey has been a marshal law state fro decades.

    • Fingal Carson

And NJ is one of the better and more desirable states in the Northeast. Sad. Yankee coast is crumbling.

      • Doran Zeigler

Who says it is one of the most desirable states? The people who live in NJ? Jersey is polluted and expensive and their governor is a Mafioso wannabe. Don’t believe everything you hear or read. If and when martial law is declared, in will be in ALL 50 states.

        • Fingal Carson

It may be a sh!thole compared to the rest of the country, but what is better than Jersey in the NY and Philly metros? Not to mention you know nothing about the wealthy areas in Jersey. Go ahead and give it some thought. Maybe CT. Maybe something in PA for Philly. Otherwise, keep thinking.

NY and the tri-state is a dump. But I’m not talking about other places…

  • steven jacobs

don’t like it? Vote for different people-very simple really-when 90% of elected officials get re-elected you can take it as a sign that people are OKAY with the way things are

    • THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH YOU DON’ FA

Since when had voting done any good? Those who (((count the votes))) decides who wins, then and only if a popular person wins, they’re still either infected by or driven by the (((deepstate))) aka aipac and their minion dual citizen firstets.

      • steven jacobs

sorry-but I do not accept your defeatist outlook. Voting does matter and voting can accomplish change. The reason it may not seem this way is purely because the country is pretty much evenly split down the middle-so there is no clear cut consensus at the voting booth. Therefore it looks like things never change. If more people get on the same page you would see significant change. It is NOT the system-it is the people

        • renee ciccioni

          Agree very optimistic .

          • Arrow

            Optimism – n.
A tendency to expect the best possible outcome or dwell on the most hopeful aspects of a situation.

In the context of the discussion, one could refer to “blind faith” as well.

          • renee ciccioni

No actually it’s knowing from history that all corruption has an expiration date and the corrupt always get there just deserts.

          • Arrow

            Roger that.

        • Arrow

The “system” IS the problem. It is too corrupt to deliver anything other than what has been prescribed by those who’ve written the rules of engagement. So go ahead and drink the Koolaid and vote them out of office… only to be replaced with one who will abide by the same corrupt protocols.

Reply if you like steven… I am only a man observing and have no horse in the race, so to speak. Fish are the last to notice the water. You believe what you want to believe. I prefer to observe from outside the box as the view is much clearer. See you on the battlefield… but you won’t see me. Cheers.

          • steven jacobs

what can I say except-Best of Luck to You!

  • jim_robert

If you leave NJ, do NOT bring your leftist fascism to TX, AZ or FL. If you want to remain an ignorant leftist STAY in NJ or NY or CT

    • Doran Zeigler

How is it that guys like you think that fascism is leftist? What you have here is pure unadulterated fascism. Opinions do not change facts nor give you the option of redefining facts. There is a notion among those calling themselves conservatives that east and west coast states are “liberal.” If you believe that then you do not realize how far to the right you have moved. I assure you, the citizens of NJ or NY have to put up with the same fascist crap people in Texas or Montana have to put up with. Don’t confuse decadency with liberalism.

      • renee ciccioni

        For sure.

      • g.johnon

hard to confuse decandency with libetralism as they are, pretty much, the same thing.
        marxist socio-fascism is leftist.
        fabian econo-fasism is rightist.
both have the same goal in mind.

if you are still into right vs left in any of it’s forms, you are just wasting your time and your energy playing the boobs game.

    • RMS1911

those parasite have been infiltrating real states and trying to change them to what they ran away from. maybe we need to delay their voting privilege
for 3 or 4 elections until they acclimate to not being in a communist state.

    • RMS1911

those parasites have been infiltrating real states and trying to change them to what the ran away from. maybe we should temporarily pull their voting privilege for 3 or 4 elections until they acclimate to their new non communist state and the mysterious ways of the locals, since we’re backwardass and ignorant.

  • g.johnon

oh the constitution is still there darkwing. but you now get to choose which to believe in. constitution? or patriot act?
if you just want to fit in and be “safe”, the second one is probably best for you.
but if you want to keep any semblance of your dignity, you gotta go with the first.
