This should tell you how much Walmart gives a crap about its customers or paying attention to what’s going on in its stores.

Last week the body of a 22-year-old was discovered in the parking lot at a Salinas, California Walmart. The crazy is part is that she had been there, dead in the Walmart parking lot inside her silver Volkswagen Jetta, for three months.

Lauren Jessie Moss was last seen alive in mid-November after leaving behind a suicide note.

Police claim no one knew she was in there because she had a sunshade in the dashboard and tinted windows, but come on, really?

No one noticed a dead lady rotting in her car, 24-hours a day, day in and day out, for three months?

Cause of death has not yet been determined.

What a damn shame she killed herself! She was a cutie!

thats your take-away from this story? seriously?

        Yep.

The haze we live in called America…………

It aint the dead ones at Wallymart that you gotta watch out for. It’s the triple X zombies…”shopping”.

    • Reverend Draco

Ah, yes, the Twinkiesauruses of WalMart. . . or is it Twinkiesauri?

More fun than a barrel of Manteca. . .

    • James Michael

The really dead ones the taxpayers and cops that kidnap and murder them for not paying their false God are even worse….

  • whiteberry

There was no “be on the lookout” reported for her car, that is standard for a missing person. Cops practically live at Walmart because of the type of clientele… shows how much attention the customers, employees and cops pay to the world around them.

    • RandyJ/ProudSurvivor

Unless you’re homeschooling your children, keeping firearms or growing your own food.

      • whiteberry

Right?!?!?!?!? They issue APBs for raw milk… geesh…

        • Cracker122049

And then send a swat team to shut down the raw milf facility

        • BigGaySteve

They will have to take my high flow showerhead from my cold dead hands.

    • BigGaySteve

No one that care enough to report her missing. On the other hand maybe people thought she smelled like an illegal alien.

  • Nabi

On the rare occasions that I wander into a WALMART, I feel the need to go home immediately to take a long hot shower.

I get depressed and vaguely sick if I’m in one for more than a few minutes. Its weird.

      • sunshine

I try to get in and get out. Yes, I shop there, YES I know I shouldn’t, but I’ve got a big family and we have to eat. I plan on getting a house and raising my own chickens, goats and having a huge garden so hopefully when that takes off, things will be better and we can avoid Wally World more.

        • Kountry Bumpkin

Make sure you check the zoning laws before you buy, for instance where I live even though I’m not within the city limits anything not zoned agricultural and you have to get a permit for almost every type of animal except dogs and cats, pet rabbits are even illegal technically. Just a little advice incase your not aware of it and if you are maybe it’ll help someone else.

          • sunshine

Thank you for the advice! Where we are looking is all zoned agricultural, it is far out of the more populated areas. Generally in this state you can do what you want as long as you’re not in the city limits but who knows how long that will continue.

I didn’t think of that about the power lines! I will definitely check into that as well. Buying a house is a pain in the butt lol.

          • James Michael

You do know a permit is permission to do something lawful and only the state can make any laws that apply to we the people…..

        • http://privacy.com MARCUS

I’m with you. Occasionally I have a need to check a few things (ammo counter, TP price, socks, etc) but get in and out.

Because small businesses deserve your money… Not corporations

        • http://privacy.com MARCUS

I agree. As soon as a small business opens near me that carries reasonably priced non-food staple goods, I’ll be able to cut the cord completely. As it is the majority of my food comes from local farm CSA shares, the balance from local grocery stores

I feel the same way after I enter a government building of any kind.

    • whiteberry

I don’t shop there, haven’t for about 10 years now. But I walked into one a few years back to ask if they had something I couldn’t find at the other stores (they didn’t) and I swear their air was “weird”, like they were pumping drugs into the customers… definitely a creepy place!

  • Jon Geissinger

    That is a true shame!

  • varlog

Not to mention the parking lots have CCTV 24 hours a day.

    • http://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/political_reading_room/ disqus_3BrONUAJno

The vast majority of the cameras at most Walmarts are dummies.

  • http://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/political_reading_room/ disqus_3BrONUAJno

Their parking lot is inside their store?

  • Beowulf73

    Suicide note……

    mid November………

and no one gave a shit…

some people die but never really lived…………

did she live on Mulholland Drive?

  • Tallkiwi

I’ve never been to Walmart but I know it’s one of the biggest stores around, is it open 24 hrs? If so, with so many cars coming and going it’d be almost impossible to observe that ONE of those cars wasn’t moving. Get real.

    • Reverend Draco

With the half-a-hundred cameras surveilling the average WalMart parking lot – it should have been child’s play to notice one car didn’t move.

      Take your own advice.

      • BigGaySteve

Wall marts let people camp in their parking lot in RVs, also after the first week she probably smelled like an illegal alien.

  • enough is enough

Lord Jesus have mercy on her

    • Reverend Draco

And some other mythological creature, too.

  • Kountry Bumpkin

I find it very odd that they didn’t call a wrecker and have the car towed as an abandoned vehicle after a week much less 3 months.

    • Reverend Draco

I don’t know what the policy is now. . . but when Sam was still alive, WalMart’s policy was to allow people who live in their cars to park at WalMarts so they’re not on the streets. . .

      • jeff

And your birthday was considered a holiday and you got that off with pay, but that was 28 yes ago… Sam Walton was a good guy, The rest of his family I don’t think much of

  • Publeus

    — Why suicide at Walmart?

    • http://privacy.com MARCUS

      It’s depressing.

  • Ced Truz

Shocker no one noticed a car parked in a car parking lot of a store that’s open 24/7 with a no-towing policy where people routinely live out of their cars. I mean come on! It’s sad this lady decided to taker her life but what’s the point in trying to make this into some sort of dig on Walmart? Unless she parked right in front of the store rotting for 3 weeks, it’s perfectly reasonable that the people coming and going did take notices of one particular car in a parking lot full of cars.

  • jbstoner43

Walmart is a nest haven for people camping out in the parking lot. At least in Houston,Tx it is.

  • Rev. Walking Turtle

Christ, this incident lends new meaning to the old pre-2008 American Boomtime “Shop ‘Till You Drop” meme, doesn’t it?

Condolences to her loved ones and significant others… Kind Holy Creator sure does love the Rest of Us (herself included) in a manner far superior in every respect to any contrivance of modern corporatocracy. So:

Let those of us who remain in the Land of the Living therefore now go forth in Heaven’s strong, beautiful grace and do LIKEWISE. Let us do so for Christ’s sake, even if not for our own!

Sidebar: The one called “Rumi” did as much within a Muslim frame of reference, btw. Please THINK about THAT, Beloved. To wit:

“Why should I seek? I am the same as
He. His essence speaks through me.
I have been looking for myself!” = Rumi, per wikipedia entry =

Because the Mind of Christ is the Right Place to Live at ALL times – even in the midst of Hell on Earth, ayup! It all starts with a basic Character Study like any other, drawn from all the available sources – NO secret nor Mystery to it, thank you very much.

    Cultivate, cultivate, cultivate!

    Oh wow! THIS is how
    To create one’s own fate!

Aw, just riffin’ on Rumi with the Bible, of late, on John Chapter 8, yer’ onna’… Verse 32 writes well on the Wall. And that’s all. 0{;-o[
