Congressman Proposes Legislation to Kill Draconian Gun Laws in NY and NJ

Congressman Chris Collins (R-NY- 27) has introduced legislation to the US House of Representatives titled the “Second Amendment Guarantee Act.”

Collins said of the proposed bill,

“This legislation would protect the Second Amendment rights of New Yorkers that were unjustly taken away by Andrew Cuomo. I am a staunch supporter of the Second Amendment and have fought against all efforts to condemn these rights. I stand with the law-abiding citizens of this state that have been outraged by the SAFE Act and voice my commitment to roll back these regulations.”

The legislation would specifically limit the authority of states to regulate rifles and shotguns “commonly used by sportsmen and sportswomen.” The act was aimed squarely at the heart of the draconian anti-gun, anti-liberty, anti-human so-called “SAFE (Secure Ammunition and Firearms Enforcement) Act” signed into law by Democrat Governor Andrew Cuomo in 2013.

The Collins legislation would prohibit all state and local governments from creating laws and regulations that are more restrictive than Federal law when it comes to the “sale, manufacturing, importation, transfer, possession, or marketing of a rifle or shotgun.”

Congressman Collins held a press conference to announce the submission of the legislation at events in Erie and Monroe Counties in New York State. Conspicuous from these events were any US Congress or Senate members.  Instead, the events featured elected officials at the state and local levels, all Republicans. It also featured gun supporters of “the Second Amendment.”

While it certainly is refreshing to see elected officials make a game showing of supporting the basic liberties that human reality makes self-evident, you will have to excuse me if I offer up a smidgen of pessimism that this legislation will ever see the light of day. In a twist of irony sure not to be lost on anyone, if this legislation were to somehow pass and get signed into “law,” anti-gunners would find themselves arguing against the legislation on the grounds of “states’ rights,” a traditionally conservative favorite position to defend.

The legislation was introduced July 28th, 2017.  =If you go to the congressional record, you will find that no further action has been taken on the legislation since it was introduced.

You will also note that the legislation has garnered just TWO co-sponsors, Congressman Tom Reed (R-NY-23), and Congressman David Valadao (R-CA-21). Both congressmen became co-signers on August 18th, 2017.

Congressman Collins’ Press Release was on July 31st. Until now, the submitted bill, along with the press release, has received little attention from the media. The recent additions of two co-sponsors has brought this legislation to the attention of media outlets.

We the People know that Cuomo works for the Zionists who are destroying America

  • Laurence Almand

Keep in mind that New York’s Sullivan Law was passed by organized crime, to give criminal gangs a monopoly on handguns – which it still does.
Organized crime has always favored gun control, for obvious reasons, and I believe it is behind the anti-gun laws of both New York and New Jersey.
Socialists have turned both NY and NJ into debt-ridden, slum-ridden nightmares, and their anti-gun agenda is just another of their anti-freedom schemes. If they had their way, no one would have guns except for corrupt police and criminals – which is the situation in New Jersey.

    • lee ho fook

the Zionist CIA is THE DRUG DEALER….of course the ghetto-ites always have guns! Normal white people aren’t permitted guns…. this must change by…tomorrow

      • Laurence Almand

Lee – Criminals pay NO attention to gun laws, which merely take guns from law-abiding people. Mexico bans guns for citizens, and it is one of the most corrupt, crime-ridden countries!

          good try, HASBARA

the Zionists are dead set on destroying whites…if we don’t fight them, right now, you may as well jump off a roof AFTER throwing your loved ones off because that will be better than allowing the Jews to destroy life on this planet…

        Anybody named “Cuomo” is, too.

        • ProudAmerican

          Yes, bankster butt-puppets.

    • SP_88

This law is dead, let go. It is indeed an infringement on states rights, and would rightly be defeated anyway.
Since when have laws ever protected rights? Our rights should have protected us from laws like the SAFE act in the first place. The SAFE act should be removed for that reason. Not because some weak law was passed.
We are truly doomed when we have to rely on laws to protect us from having our rights violated by commies and socialists. Our rights need to stand on their own. When people stand up against tyrants like governor Cuomo, they can avoid laws like the SAFE act from ever being passed in the first place.

when people stand up against tyrants like TALMUDIST ZIONISTS…is what you really mean- HASBARA

        • SP_88

No, I meant Cuomo, and tyrants like him, Jewish or not. I’m not ok with being enslaved by tyrants, no matter who they are.
Would you prefer to be enslaved by a non-Jewish tyrant? Or do you not want to be enslaved by anyone?

Shhh, don’t yell that, I don’t want everyone to hear you!

            P.S. WTF is a HASBARA?

            get a nosejob

          • SP_88

            Get a day job.

          • lee ho fook

A$$HOLE, I’m retired…can spend ALL MY TIME alerting the citizens to the fact that the USA is ZIONIST CONTROLLED…k?

          • SP_88

Or you could get a hobby. Because I, and every other person on here you have accused of being a Jew who is spreading disinformation are actually just people who are just as much a victim of the Banksters and the Fed Crime Bosses as you are. And yes, there are a lot of Jews in powerful positions within these criminal banks.
But that doesn’t mean that Joe Blowstien Jew down the road is also in on it. At the end of the day, they are in a club. And we aren’t invited. And neither are any of the other Jews who are like us, as in not uber-wealthy and powerful.
If you have a message, and you genuinely want to inform people of what’s happening, you need a new method. Because right now you sound like a bitter old antisemite who’s off his meds. And I’m not saying this with the intention of insulting you.
There is some truth to what you say, but it’s mixed in with a lot of very broad statements and generalizations that cover people who have nothing to do with those who control the country. And when you do that, it causes people to tune out and you lose credibility.
You can say or do whatever you want. But people are going to respond to you accordingly. If you carelessly fling general statements around and paint people with a very broad brush, nobody is going to believe anything you say, and nobody will take you seriously. And whatever message or information you are trying to disseminate will be wasted or ignored.
So you do what you want. But if you are just gonna continue with this line of reasoning, don’t be surprised if you spend more time arguing with people or accusing them of being Jewish disinformation trolls.

blather blather blather…I know how THEY operate. I know these websites are OWNED by them, i.e. INFOWARS – owned by STRATFOR. I KNOW THE DEAL. Most Americans are stupid, ignorant mind-controlled morons…I do what I can…when I die I will know I did what I could which is more than most Americans could say… let it be written.

          • SP_88

Like I said, you have a message you want people to get, but you need for people to actually get the message for it to do any good.
It’s the way your message sounds when you blame everything on the Jews. If you said the exact same thing, but instead of saying “Jews” you maybe said “TPTB” or “Banksters” or “globalists” or “Bilderbergs”, I think more people would be receptive to your message. And you would still be calling out the same people for their crimes against we the people. It’s just a suggestion.
Everyone knows who you are talking about. But everyone has a different name for them. And I know that some of them are Jews. But I prefer not to label them all as Jews. And aside from that label, I agree with a lot of what you say.
To be honest, I would rather agree with you than argue against you. Because the reality of the situation is that it’s us vs them. It’s we the people vs the ruling class, the globalists, TPTB, the deep state, or as you like to say, the Jews. It’s all the same people, regardless of what we call them, against us.
You and I are in the same boat, like it or not. This ruling class is out to destroy your freedom just as much as they want to destroy mine and everyone else’s. We have a common enemy. And it just makes sense for us to work together as opposed to us arguing pointlessly about what label to use for those who wish to rob us of our freedom and our wealth.
I truly hope you will consider what I’m saying. Because the less divided we are against each other, the more effective we will be when working against TPTB.

          • lee ho fook

OH SHUT UP JUBAL….you like to hear yourself write… blather blather blather…meaningless drivel…you humiliate yourself…go, please, have a bagel…

Hmmm.. Why do we need a law to protect a right that is already guaranteed..? Perhaps if the verbal contracts agreed to by elected officials were in enforced to the letter, there would not be a problem. The swearing in with the oath of office is a verbal contract. Breaking that contract should have consequences (IE jail or prison time).

  • Sir TuberKopf

Incredible that abortion is enumerated nowhere except in a SCOTUS statement, is heralded as the law of the land that overrides all state law everywhere that is to the contrary, BUT the Second Ammendment, which is clearly articulated in the Bill of Rights is routinely denied by state and local laws as well as Color of Law decisions by corrupt judges and prosecutors who have nothing but murder in their hearts.
