As parents and children look on during a recording of rapper Lil’ Wayne’s latest video, producers dropped an American flag from the air which subsequently hit the ground. As the video below shows, Lil Wayne then proceeded to dance on the flag while singing the lyrics to his latest song “God Bless Amerika.”
“My country ’tis of thee / Sweet land of kill ‘em all and let ‘em die / God bless Amerika / This ole’ godless Amerika.
In a previous song remix entitled “Obama a Milli” Wayne praises President Barrack Obama during the 2008 election, suggesting that a vote for the now President would change things for the better:
Baracks a younger guy, So choose him, hes the right pick
(Laugh) But if you choose the wrong pick
Your step-sonll probably end up in Iraq quick!
His health clan plan is so immaclate
So even if your broke, and can’t afford to take a doc trip
…
Hes makin history like X, King and Douglas, and RFK
Obama, hes that new black, true that
Red-necks saaaay He won’t beat John McCain
He don’t wear a flag pin, his middle names Hussein, but
Who gon be dat boy dat doubt dat boy dey call Obama
…
He won’t turn back into some Uncle Thomas (Aaaaaa!)
No Aunt Jemimah or Southern Fried chicken
Call him Chief Obama, or Mr. Keeps on Tickin
It seems Lil’ Wayne, like the rest of America, has realized that nothing will change \ Because Barrack Obama is just more of the same \ Yet Wayne refuses to give him the blame \ It looks like despite his promises Barrack Obama couldn’t make it rain…
When it hits the fan, don’t say we didn’t warn you. Mac Slavo is the editor of SHTFplan.com, a resource hub for alternative news, contrarian commentary and strategies that you can take to protect yourself from the coming global paradigm shift.
Aaron Dykes and Melissa Melton created Truthstream Media.com as an outlet to examine the news, place it in a broader context, uncover the deceptions, pierce through the fabric of illusions, grasp the underlying factors, know the real enemy, unshackle from the system, and begin to imagine the path towards taking back our lives, one step at a time, so that one day we might truly be free…
Barrack Obama is the best President we’ve ever had.
John Boehner, Eric Cantor, and Mitch McConnell are the best Congressmen we’ve ever seen.
The whole government is… perfect.
They only care about the people of America, and they would give up all money, power and name recognition just to keep the United States healthy, wealthy and wise.
You know what the problem with America is? We haven’t had to try our hardest in a long, long time and it’s showing. It’s been over 70 years since we had to pull out all the stops and put the totality of our civilian know-how and full power of our military forces to the maximum test and since then, only feeling it necessary to half-ass it has come home to roost. I’m not sure most of the world even believes we have one-tenth of the actual fighting muscle, technology and blasting tonnage we actually possess. Part of the problem is that since World War II, with the exception of Ronald Reagan, who defeated the Soviet Union without firing a shot, the place has been run for the most part by a bunch of pansies. We’ve been busy running around trying to get everyone to like us instead of just taking care of business.
Just how civilized are we? The reason I ask is to get your attention. The answer is we are not. We pretend to be, but fooling ourselves that all cultures deserve equal respect and failing to teach our kids how to stand up to a bully is going to get them and everyone else killed when they grow up. The real bullies that await them out in the big world don’t listen to time-outs or playing nice-nice in politically-correct academia. So here we are today, spying on our own citizens in the hope that we’ll be able to thwart terrorists instead of just taking care of business.
By us trying to make friends with every Tom, Dick, and Akbar we have opened ourselves up for attack from a multitude of terrorist countries and organizations. Our own government has taken advantage of the situation to invade our privacy and to strip away our rights. Lawmakers think the best way to keep us safe is to spy on our own citizens. They say they are doing this for our own good. I say they have stepped way over the friggin line of right and wrong.
When you provoke someone bigger, stronger and more lethal – you would normally expect the worse. America is that someone that is bigger stronger and more lethal – YET – all we do is throw jabs… Figuratively and literally. When America is provoked we need to show our enemies their blood and guts, fast, quick and in a hurry. Stop pussy-footing around. Remember President Reagan’s reaction when Muammar Gaddafi was determined to have destroyed Pan Am Flight 103? Yeah, we lobbed a Mark 82 smart bomb into the Gaddafi family tent. Not only did Muammar not act up for about 15 years, he gave up his weapons program. There is only one thing these jamokes understand, folks. But here we are, using Google and Verizon to infringe upon American’s civil liberties in order to figure out the terrorist’s next move – instead of just taking care of business.
Terrorists need money to operate and arm themselves and if you cut off the funding, you cut off the terror. We spend $80 billion a year on these NSA programs which infringe on our Fourth Amendment rights – why aren’t we spending that money to stop the funding and organizing of actual terrorism? We know who is doing the funding – make like Reagan and blast a cap in their ass!
I say the best way of keeping America safe is to unleash her. When someone provokes America we bury them. We hit them hard, fast and without mercy. We make it known around the world that America will destroy you if you screw with us. Period – end of story. We will save more lives in the long run by using fire to fight fire.  And when we’re done, make it clear to every leader of every country that the next one is coming for them unless they begin helping us ferret-out these murderous animals wherever they operate. But no, we’re busy trying to figure out who you’re Skype-ing late at night, instead of just taking care of business.
Here’s an idea: Drop a two-thousand pound bomb out in the desert where it can only kill a few goats and tell that Mahmoud Ahmadinnerjacket to look out his window because another one is being fed-exed to him if he doesn’t shape up and fly right. Better yet, blow every single facility in Iran that even resembles a nuclear plant to rubble.
What are they going to do – start hating us?
Now, where it concerns the CIA, FBI, NSA, Congress, the White House, President Obama, the IRS, EPA, E, I, E, I, O and anyone else violating the Constitution and the laws of this land YOU ARE FIRED – and possibly hanged for treason. Got it?
Joe “The Plumber” Wurzelbacher crashed on the scene in 2008 when a chance run-in with then candidate Barack Obama allowed Joe to confront the soon-to-be president on his tax-and-spend Socialist philosophy. It was then, in a moment of clarity, Barack Obama let slip his real agenda; “I just want to spread some of that wealth around…” In an effort to inform the public Joe created the Joe for America web site, where you can find commentary, videos and ideas covering a wide array of topics from leading thinkers. You can also follow him on Facebook, Twitter or Youtube.
Form a goal, put people together, and give them separate tasks that add up to forwarding the goal. Yes, it’s a strategy as old as the hills, but in the last hundred years the drive to expand the numbers has taken over.
Of course, when leaders of these modern mammoths keep fine-tuning specialized jobs within their structures, the human workers come, more and more, to resemble machine parts.
If these jobs are creative, a toaster is painting Rembrandts.
But that doesn’t concern the captains of their organized ships. It’s all about output, products sold, performance graphs, worker loyalty and compliance.
In such environments, “creative” is just a slogan.
As society operates, more and more, by a contagion of systems, people think in those terms. Coordination. Organization.
There are experts ready, at the drop of hat, to move in and explain why society must run this way.
But the individual doesn’t think so. He may comply, he may bow down, but he isn’t a believer.
He doesn’t worship at the altar of efficiency. He doesn’t care about “the inevitable” super-organization of civilization. He’s got one eye open looking for a way out.
The individual may not talk about his soul or believe he has one, but he wants freedom, even if he has no idea what he’d do with it.
The individual may convince himself that small pleasures are his only option, until the day he’s lowered into the ground, but he feels something else, something more.
Of course, maturity is supposed to mean the individual gives up his impulse toward freedom, toward breaking out, but he doesn’t care about that. He may pretend he cares, but he doesn’t.
No amount of pressure or brainwashing is going to work. He still wants to feel alive and free.
People may tell him that power is a bad thing, that it’s selfish and greedy and “unevolved,” but he wants it. He wants, not the outward appearance of it, but the inner energy. The inner force.
All the overlays of society notwithstanding.
You can turn him into a Pavlovian lap dog, but when you look away he’s going to chew on his strap and try to get free.
You can fill his head full of the most elevated spiritual maxims and utopian bullshit, you can convince him to paste a vapid smile on his face, you can send him to a therapist, but he’s going to keep looking for a hole in the fence.
I’m sick and tired of the New Age melted-cheese people who keep forcing their desires “up on to a higher plateau.” Even they know it’s all nonsense. Even they know they can’t get rid of the fact that they’re individuals, no matter how hard they try.
They can sell their defeat like cosmic enlightenment to the millions, but they can’t scratch their basic itch. It stays with them.
THEY WANT TO CREATE SOMETHING. Underneath it all, they want it badly.
There are some people who hear the word CREATE and wake up, as if a new flashing music has begun.
This lone word makes them see something majestic and untamed and astonishing.
They feel the sound of a Niagara approaching.
They suddenly know why they are alive.
The creative life is about diving in. It’s about a kind of transformation that shreds programming and gets down to the energy of the Fire.
Most people don’t want to travel to that grand arena because they have been trained like pets by some sector of this society to be good girls and boys.
The creative life isn’t about little changes done in little penguin steps. It’s about putting your arms and your mind around Deep, Big, and Wide Desire. It’s about making that Desire come to life.
99% of the world has been trained like rats to adore systems. Give them a system and they’re ready to cuddle up and take it all in. If they have questions, or if they want to argue, it’s about how to tweak the system to make it a little better. And with every move they make, they put another blanket over the Fire Within.
They sleepwalk through life and say yes to everything.
Maybe you once saw something truly free that didn’t care about consequences, and it blew you into tomorrow and turned on your soul’s electricity for an hour.
Maybe you’re sick and tired of bowing and scraping before a pedestal of nonsense.
CREATE is a word that should be oceanic. It should shake and blow apart the pillars of the smug boredom of the soul.
CREATE is about what the individual does when he is on fire and doesn’t care about concealing it. It’s about what the individual invents when he has thrown off the false front that is slowly strangling him.
CREATE is about the end of mindless postponement. It’s about what happens when you burn up the pretty and petty little obsessions. It’s about emerging from the empty suit and empty machine of society that goes around and around and sucks away the vital bloodstream.
CREATE isn’t part of the BELONGING PROGRAM, the program that society runs on to stay away from the transforming power of imagination.

Two would-be armed robbers got more than they expected on Monday. After forcing their way into a Brooklyn home, one of the suspects chased a resident who ran for cover in an adjacent bathroom. As he reached through a door with his handgun, a woman slammed it on his arm, forcing him to drop the firearm. At that point, say witnesses, a 10 year old boy living in the home picked up the gun and opened fire.
One of the suspects returned fire and then promptly fled the scene.
NYPD reports that no one was injured in the altercation. Police are still searching for the individuals responsible for the home invasion.
In the wake of a 12-year battle to keep Monsanto’s Genetically Engineered (GE) crops from contaminating the nation’s 25,000 organic farms and ranches, America’s organic consumers and producers are facing betrayal. A self-appointed cabal of the Organic Elite, spearheaded by Whole Foods Market, Organic Valley, and Stonyfield Farm, has decided it’s time to surrender to Monsanto. Top executives from these companies have publicly admitted that they no longer oppose the mass commercialization of GE crops, such as Monsanto’s controversial Roundup Ready alfalfa, and are prepared to sit down and cut a deal for “coexistence” with Monsanto and USDA biotech cheerleader Tom Vilsack.
In a cleverly worded, but profoundly misleading email sent to its customers last week,Whole Foods Market, while proclaiming their support for organics and “seed purity,” gave the green light to USDA bureaucrats to approve the “conditional deregulation” of Monsanto’s genetically engineered, herbicide-resistant alfalfa. Beyond the regulatory euphemism of “conditional deregulation,” this means that WFM and their colleagues are willing to go along with the massive planting of a chemical and energy-intensive GE perennial crop, alfalfa; guaranteed to spread its mutant genes and seeds across the nation; guaranteed to contaminate the alfalfa fed to organic animals; guaranteed to lead to massive poisoning of farm workers and destruction of the essential soil food web by the toxic herbicide, Roundup; and guaranteed to produce Roundup-resistant superweeds that will require even more deadly herbicides such as 2,4 D to be sprayed on millions of acres of alfalfa across the U.S.
“compensation.” In exchange for a new assault on farmworkers and rural communities (a recent large-scale Swedish study found that spraying Roundup doubles farm workers’ and rural residents’ risk of getting cancer), WFM expects the pro-biotech USDA to begin to regulate rather than cheerlead for Monsanto. In payment for a new broad spectrum attack on the soil’s crucial ability to provide nutrition for food crops and to sequester dangerous greenhouse gases (recent studies show that Roundup devastates essential soil microorganisms that provide plant nutrition and sequester climate-destabilizing greenhouse gases), WFM wants the Biotech Bully of St. Louis to agree to pay “compensation” (i.e. hush money) to farmers “for any losses related to the contamination of his crop.”
In its email of Jan. 21, 2011 WFM calls for “public oversight by the USDA rather than reliance on the biotechnology industry,” even though WFM knows full well that federal regulations on Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) do not require pre-market safety testing, nor labeling; and that even federal judges have repeatedly ruled that so-called government “oversight” of Frankencrops such as Monsanto’s sugar beets and alfalfa is basically a farce. At the end of its email, WFM admits that its surrender to Monsanto is permanent: “The policy set for GE alfalfa will most likely guide policies for other GE crops as well True coexistence is a must.”
Why Is Organic Inc. Surrendering?
According to informed sources, the CEOs of WFM and Stonyfield are personal friends of former Iowa governor, now USDA Secretary, Tom Vilsack, and in fact made financial contributions to Vilsack’s previous electoral campaigns. Vilsack was hailed as “Governor of the Year” in 2001 by the Biotechnology Industry Organization, and traveled in a Monsanto corporate jet on the campaign trail. Perhaps even more fundamental to Organic Inc.’s abject surrender is the fact that the organic elite has become more and more isolated from the concerns and passions of organic consumers and locavores.
The Organic Inc. CEOs are tired of activist pressure, boycotts, and petitions. Several of them have told me this to my face. They apparently believe that the battle against GMOs has been lost, and that it’s time to reach for the consolation prize. The consolation prize they seek is a so-called “coexistence” between the biotech Behemoth and the organic community that will lull the public to sleep and greenwash the unpleasant fact that Monsanto’s unlabeled and unregulated genetically engineered crops are now spreading their toxic genes on 1/3 of U.S. (and 1/10 of global) crop land.
WFM and most of the largest organic companies have deliberately separated themselves from anti-GMO efforts and cut off all funding to campaigns working to label or ban GMOs. The so-called Non-GMO Project, funded by Whole Foods and giant wholesaler United Natural Foods (UNFI) is basically a greenwashing effort (although the 100% organic companies involved in this project seem to be operating in good faith) to show that certified organic foods are basically free from GMOs (we already know this since GMOs are banned in organic production), while failing to focus on so-called “natural” foods, which constitute most of WFM and UNFI’s sales and are routinely contaminated with GMOs.
From their “business as usual” perspective, successful lawsuits against GMOs filed by public interest groups such as the Center for Food Safety; or noisy attacks on Monsanto by groups like the Organic Consumers Association, create bad publicity, rattle their big customers such as Wal-Mart, Target, Kroger, Costco, Supervalu, Publix and Safeway; and remind consumers that organic crops and foods such as corn, soybeans, and canola are slowly but surely becoming contaminated by Monsanto’s GMOs.
Whole Foods’ Dirty Little Secret: Most of the So-Called “Natural” Processed Foods and Animal Products They Sell Are Contaminated with GMOs
The main reason, however, why Whole Foods is pleading for coexistence with Monsanto, Dow, Bayer, Syngenta, BASF and the rest of the biotech bullies, is that they desperately want the controversy surrounding genetically engineered foods and crops to go away. Why? Because they know, just as we do, that 2/3 of WFM’s $9 billion annual sales is derived from so-called “natural” processed foods and animal products that are contaminated with GMOs. We and our allies have tested their so-called “natural” products (no doubt WFM’s lab has too) containing non-organic corn and soy, and guess what: they’re all contaminated with GMOs, in contrast to their certifiedorganic products, which are basically free of GMOs, or else contain barely detectable trace amounts.
Approximately 2/3 of the products sold by Whole Foods Market and their main distributor, United Natural Foods (UNFI) are not certified organic, but rather are conventional (chemical-intensive and GMO-tainted) foods and products disguised as “natural.”
Unprecedented wholesale and retail control of the organic marketplace by UNFI andWhole Foods, employing a business model of selling twice as much so-called “natural”food as certified organic food, coupled with the takeover of many organic companies by multinational food corporations such as Dean Foods, threatens the growth of the organic movement.
Covering Up GMO Contamination: Perpetrating “Natural” Fraud
Many well-meaning consumers are confused about the difference between conventional products marketed as “natural,” and those nutritionally/ environmentally superior and climate-friendly products that are “certified organic.”
Retail stores like WFM and wholesale distributors like UNFI have failed to educate their customers about the qualitative difference between natural and certified organic, conveniently glossing over the fact that nearly all of the processed “natural” foods and products they sell contain GMOs, or else come from a “natural” supply chain where animals are force-fed GMO grains in factory farms or Confined Animal Feeding Operations (CAFOs).
A troubling trend in organics today is the calculated shift on the part of certain large formerly organic brands from certified organic ingredients and products to so-called “natural” ingredients. With the exception of the “grass-fed and grass-finished” meat sector, most “natural” meat, dairy, and eggs are coming from animals reared on GMO grains and drugs, and confined, entirely, or for a good portion of their lives, in CAFOs.
Whole Foods and UNFI are maximizing their profits by selling quasi-natural products at premium organic prices. Organic consumers are increasingly left without certified organic choices while genuine organic farmers and ranchers continue to lose market share to “natural” imposters. It’s no wonder that less than 1% of American farmland is certified organic, while well-intentioned but misled consumers have boosted organic and “natural” purchases to $80 billion annually-approximately 12% of all grocery store sales.
The Solution: Truth-in-Labeling Will Enable Consumers to Drive So-Called “Natural” GMO and CAFO-Tainted Foods Off the Market
There can be no such thing as “coexistence” with a reckless industry that undermines public health, destroys biodiversity, damages the environment, tortures and poisons animals, destabilizes the climate, and economically devastates the world’s 1.5 billion seed-saving small farmers.
There is no such thing as coexistence between GMOs and organics in the European Union. Why? Because in the EU there are almost no GMO crops under cultivation, nor GM consumer food products on supermarket shelves. And why is this? Because under EU law, all foods containing GMOs or GMO ingredients must be labeled. Consumers have the freedom to choose or not to choose GMOs; while farmers, food processors, and retailers have (at least legally) the right to lace foods with GMOs, as long as they are safety-tested and labeled.
Of course the EU food industry understands that consumers, for the most part, do not want to purchase or consume GE foods. European farmers and food companies, even junk food purveyors like McDonald’s and Wal-Mart, understand quite well the concept expressed by a Monsanto executive when GMOs first came on the market: “If you put a label on genetically engineered food you might as well put a skull and crossbones on it.”
The biotech industry and Organic Inc. are supremely conscious of the fact that North American consumers, like their European counterparts, are wary and suspicious of GMO foods. Even without a PhD, consumers understand you don’t want your food safety or environmental sustainability decisions to be made by out-of-control chemical companies like Monsanto, Dow, or Dupont – the same people who brought you toxic pesticides, Agent Orange, PCBs, and now global warming.
Industry leaders are acutely aware of the fact that every single industry or government poll over the last 16 years has shown that 85-95% of American consumers want mandatory labels on GMO foods. Why? So that we can avoid buying them. GMO foods have absolutely no benefits for consumers or the environment, only hazards. This is why Monsanto and their friends in the Bush, Clinton, and Obama administrations have prevented consumer GMO truth-in-labeling laws from getting a public discussion in Congress.
Although Congressman Dennis Kucinich (Democrat, Ohio) recently introduced a bill in Congress calling for mandatory labeling and safety testing for GMOs, don’t hold your breath for Congress to take a stand for truth-in-labeling and consumers’ right to know what’s in their food. Especially since the 2010 Supreme Court decision in the so-called Citizens United case gave big corporations and billionaires the right to spend unlimited amounts of money (and remain anonymous, as they do so) to buy media coverage and elections, our chances of passing federal GMO labeling laws against the wishes of Monsanto and Food Inc. are all but non-existent.
Perfectly dramatizing the “Revolving Door” between Monsanto and the Federal Government, Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, formerly chief counsel for Monsanto, delivered one of the decisive votes in the Citizens United case, in effect giving Monsanto and other biotech bullies the right to buy the votes it needs in the U.S. Congress.
With big money controlling Congress and the media, we have little choice but to shift our focus and go local. We’ve got to concentrate our forces where our leverage and power lie, in the marketplace, at the retail level; pressuring retail food stores to voluntarily label their products; while on the legislative front we must organize a broad coalition to pass mandatory GMO (and CAFO) labeling laws, at the city, county, and state levels.
The Organic Consumers Association, joined by our consumer, farmer, environmental, and labor allies, has just launched a nationwide Truth-in-Labeling campaign to stop Monsanto and the Biotech Bullies from force-feeding unlabeled GMOs to animals and humans.
Utilizing scientific data, legal precedent, and consumer power the OCA and our local coalitions will educate and mobilize at the grassroots level to pressure giant supermarket chains (Wal-Mart, Kroger, Costco, Safeway, Supervalu, and Publix) and natural food retailers such as Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s to voluntarily implement “truth-in-labeling” practices for GMOs and CAFO products; while simultaneously organizing a critical mass to pass mandatory local and state truth-in-labeling ordinances – similar to labeling laws already in effect for country of origin, irradiated food, allergens, and carcinogens.
From the Trenches World Report is intent on uncovering more documented facts to bring to light that which the common man or woman is not meant to see. We are in a war for nothing less than our right to individual thought. We will be reporting on that war From the Trenches.
We must break the stranglehold of truth from establishment media and we must take back our country.
We must become a nation of ‘by and for the people’ and not of ‘by and for the special interests’ and led around by the nose like a bunch of weak cattle.
They’re insensitive, extreme, and downright offensive.
Two billboards in which images of Native Americans are used to make a gun rights argument are causing a stir with some Colorado residents who say the image is offensive and insensitive.
The billboards in this northern Colorado city show three men dressed in traditional Native American attire and the words “Turn in your arms. The government will take care of you.”
Matt Wells, an account executive with Lamar Advertising in Denver, said Monday that a group of local residents purchased the space.
“They have asked to remain anonymous,” he said.
He also refused to disclose the cost but said the billboards are only appearing in the Greeley area. Wells said he has not received any complaints so far.
…
Greeley resident Kerri Salazar, who is of Native American descent, said she was livid when she learned about it. She said she doesn’t have a problem with the gun rights message, but she’s offended the Native American people were singled out, apparently without their consent.
…
Irene Vernon, a Colorado State University professor and chairwoman of the ethnic studies department, said the message on the billboard is taking a narrow view of a much more complicated history of the Native American plight. She said it’s not as if Native Americans just gave up their guns and wound up on reservations.
A former libertarian abandons his dream of a voluntary world and explains the potential worse case scenario after the overnight disappearance of government. The ending will SHOCK you!
Former Navy SEAL Dom Raso takes issue with politicians, specifically New York Mayor Michale Bloomberg, when it comes to the issue of keeping and bearing arms. He asks rhetorically what credibility do they have when it comes to your ability to protect yourself?
It is unbelievable that politicians like Mayor Bloomberg think that they are experts on personal protection.
Me and the guys I fought with, we didn’t go to war so that some politician could dictate whatever he thinks is best for the American people.
We fought for your freedom.
What have those guys ever accomplished that gives them any credibility on the subject of personal protection?
I served in the military as a SEAL for 12 years and the guys in this type of profession are some of the most qualified dudes on the planet to give you advice on how to protect yourself.
But it would be the ultimate sign of arrogance
for us to say that we have the perfect answer for you and your family and your personal safety.
Is anyone better off because they gave a mayor or a senator or the president their own personal responsibility? No.
These politicians only care about their own power.
They know that the less we are able to defend ourselves, the more dependent we are on them. Period.
Don’t believe their promises. When there’s a threat outside your door, the police aren’t gonna be there, guys like me aren’t gonna be there, the guys trained to save lives aren’t going to be there. We just can’t be there all the time.
Do we want to? Of course we do. But that’s not the reality. I’m going to tell you the truth. I’m trained in hand to hand combat.
But would I rather have a gun to protect myself? Obviously.
So if that’s true for me, I can’t imagine what it’s like for an everyday law-abiding citizen to walk around without the ability to protect themselves.
When I was in the military fighting under the leadership and under higher ranking officers and politicians, they gave me all the responsibility in the world.
They gave me every tool, every asset, they ran me through every possible scenario.
But now that I’ve transitioned out and I’m a civilian, somehow I’m not responsible anymore. Somehow they don’t trust me to defend my own family.
These high-ranking officials think they can get up in front of the American people and just shove their rank on the screen and make a political point with their soundbites?
That rank doesn’t give them any more knowledge or any more credibility on what you should be doing to protect yourself.
This isn’t Call of Duty. Your higher rank doesn’t make you more knowledgeable about weapons. It just doesn’t.
The only way for your title to mean more to the American people is to take the power away from them.
That’s arrogant, that’s selfish, and it’s dangerous. You don’t know what’s best for the people you’ve never met.
If you really cared about the American people, you’d stand up for more freedom for them, and not more power and status for yourself.
With the global economy, financial markets and political sentiment seemingly on the brink of a major paradigm shift, concern about how to protect wealth is growing exponentially. Billions of dollars are being transferred out of bank accounts across the world by people who are looking for safety assets where they can secure their life savings and get out of the cross-hairs of governments bent on destroying private business, accumulating unimaginable levels of debt, and impoverishing the middle class.
There are few investments that will remain safe once the masses realize they’ve been conned by their respective leaders and financial authorities.
Whether your strategy involves holding physical assets to preserve some level of value and wealth when the next bubble pops, or if your aim is to reallocate investment capital from existing retirement funds or savings accounts and grow that capital over the long-term, the following interview from Future Money Trends is one you don’t want to miss.
Amir Adnani, chairman of  gold mining company Brazil Resources, and David Morgan, of Silver-Investor.com, share a wealth of knowledge and insights about gold fundamentals, investment strategies, effects of monetary policy, managing a successful business, avoiding government nationalization of key industries, and the broader economic outlook going forward.
What excites me the most about the long-term, if we want to look five or ten years out, is that the supply-demand fundamentals, which is the only that I can try to use as a long-term guide of how things are going to go, are really on the side of higher natural resource prices and commodities.
When you look at the population trends in the world, when you look at the sovereign debt issues in the world, when you look at the organization themes of emerging markets… these themes are very long-term trends. These are not going away.
…I think supply-demand fundamentals over the next five or ten years definitely favor higher prices for commodities…
Despite the inevitable disaster to come, there are strategies that can help you to not only preserve wealth, but grow it during a time that will see the majority of the world’s population further impoverished.
If one of your primary objectives is to protect your assets during times of uncertainty, then consider some of the analysis from one of the world’s top junior mining CEO’s.
The fundamentals for gold:
The fundamentals for gold have never been as good as they are right now, because from the physical side of things the mining industry and the majors keep spending more money every year on an accumulative basis on exploration, and each year they keep finding less gold than the year before or ten years ago. And so it’s becoming tougher and tougher to find economic gold projects… So clearly, just on the pure mining side of it, the pure supply expansion side of it, it’s more costly to find gold. They’re finding less gold, and mining costs to get it out of the ground are rising.
Meanwhile, we continue to achieve record levels of debt in the Western world, so that continues to drive the monetary aspects of it and further underlines that end of the argument as to why the fundamentals for gold are strong.
Look at the latest issues in Europe. Look at the latest issues in Cyprus. The sovereign debt issues are not going away. Everyone is racing to try to devalue their currency throughout the world.Â
How can we not look at this picture and say to ourselves that the fundamentals have never been better… the numbers are quite profound.
When developing a strategy for asset diversification, consider your individual needs, existing capital, and your specific goals (preservation vs. wealth creation):
Is just owning physical a good idea or a bad idea?  I think the real answer to that is the individual…
I think there’s more opportunity in the mining sector to build wealth than just owning the physical.
I think that it’s an individual choice. I’m not against it. I understand the reasoning. These people believe that all paper markets are going to crumble at some point and the only left standing will be physical.
I don’t hold that view. Personally, at my age, I think that about a 50-50 mix is about right. I feel very comfortable with 50% spread out between top-tier, mid-tier and up-and-comers, and the other 50% in the physical realm.
Just to be clear, I don’t advocate 100% of your assets invested in the precious metals sector. I have recommended 20%, but again that’s an individual choice.

In the 1930′s, when President Roosevelt seized physical gold from Americans, gold mining companies remained untouched by the draconian move. And, while stocks in the United States dropped precipitously and remained depressed for a decade, companies whose primary business was the exploration and mining of gold and silver rose to new highs. Homestake mining, a gold mining firm operating during FDR’s Presidency, was one such company that saw its shares skyrocket over 500%.
A similar effect occurred in the 1970′s, after the US dollar was taken off the gold standard. By the early 1980′s gold had once again reached new highs – highs that were not surpassed until the debt crisis of 2008 took hold, nearly thirty years later.
This crisis, like the deflationary depression of the 1930′s and the inflationary recession of the 1970′s, won’t be much different, as panicked investors hoping to protect their wealth will once again turn to the tried and true hard asset of choice during times of crisis: gold.
Watch as one of the most respected contrarian resource analysts, Marin Katusa of Casey Research, discusses gold as sound money:
If you take all the gold that’s ever been mined and that’s currently being mined… you can fit that into Dallas Cowboys stadium. Just to put that in perspective.
Gold is a very rare thing because the economic deposits of gold are very rare. It is a precious metal.
…
If you invest in one of those companies that finds and proves up an economic gold deposit, you can make anywhere from ten to a hundreds time your money.
…
We always start with people. That’s the most important thing when you invest… who are the guys running this company that I am going to invest in.
One deal that Rick Rule, Doug Casey and I are very large shareholders in because we absolutely respect the management team and we believe they’re going to bring significant returns and profits for us is a company called Brazil Resources, which already has gold in the ground. They’ve got millions of ounces of gold…their exploration projects are fantastic…. but more importantly, the management is top tier.
…
In North America we’ve had such a good time that we can’t imagine what it would be like if there was true chaos. But when it happens, they’ll call the people who invested in gold and had actual physical gold, they’ll call them ‘lucky.’ But the true definition of lucky is being prepared when the opportunity arises.
Indeed, should the worst happen in America, those who prepare will be few and far between, and those who failed to foresee the coming calamity will view them as “lucky” for having spent the time, effort and sweat to position themselves appropriately.
The investigative journalists at Project Veritas are at it again, and this time they visited local police departments across the nation and asked law enforcement officials what residents should do if they are threatened by a break-in, armed robbery or other violent crime.
Most of the localities visited, like New York and New Jersey, have restrictive gun laws, so you can imagine that the answers were… quite creative (and not very encouraging).
What happens between the time I call 9-1-1 and the time you get there?
Law Enforcement Officer – Bronxville, NY: “It takes a couple minutes to get there.”
Project Veritas: “OK, in the two minutes, though, what do i do?”
LEO: “In the two minutes what do you do?”
PV: “Yeah:
(awkward pause)
LEO: “That’s a good question.”
PV: “Basically, in just that two minutes I’m on my own?”
LEO: “Yeah.”
LEO: “Look on the internet about how to get a gun permit.”
Here are some other suggested self defense techniques you can apply in the event your life is threatened and police are minutes away:
“It’s 2013. It’s the United Stated of America. You lock your doors and hope nothing happens.”
“That’s why we have call boxes. That’s why we have safe zones. That’s why we have the whistles.”
“Lock yourself in a room and call us.”
“Just make noise. I would just make noise. It generally scares people off.”
“I would scream. Let somebody know I was there.”
“Lock yourself in a bedroom. Start yelling and screaming, so maybe the guy breaking hears that somebody’s home and runs out the door.”
“If you pick up a bat and start hitting somebody if he comes in your home. You’re allowed to do that.”
“If you just take your cell phone out, put it up to your ear, and call 9-1-1, a lot of times that makes people think twice before they do something.”
“You could leave the home if you can get to an exit. You know, you could leave the home.”
“Put some kind of two-by-four stick or something in the window so you can jam it up.”
“In case of emergency, I’m gonna do what I have to do. Go get some bleach. Go get some ammonia.”
… “[you're on your own] unless you have a dog”
“If a man enters your home, all bets are off.”
“You’re just asking questions that I can’t answer for you.”
According to a recent city-by-city response time report at American Police Beat, it takes police in major metropolitan areas about 10 minutes to respond to an emergency 9-1-1 call. And in some areas, police response times are so slow that neighbors have been forced to organize themselves into patrols.
If you live in a state where it’s still legal to carry a personal self defense firearm, you can feel comfortable being “on your own.”
If not, you may want to head down to your local hardware store and pick up a two-by-four, some bleach, and a whistle.
When it hits the fan, don’t say we didn’t warn you. Mac Slavo is the editor of SHTFplan.com, a resource hub for alternative news, contrarian commentary and strategies that you can take to protect yourself from the coming global paradigm shift.
Homeschooling your kids yet? No. Well here’s another great reason to get them out now – especially the boys!
Boys will be boys. They’ve been known to gnaw a slice of government school pizza into the shape of a gun and hold the lunchroom hostage. This poor second grader used a strawberry pastry to unleash a terrorist event in Maryland.Â
I for one say outlaw pizza and pastries in schools. A smart business man or woman should invent a dough detector to be stationed at all school entrances. That’ll stop these mini-pastry shootings! We need more laws my friends… For the children.
School Offers Counseling for Students Troubled by Pastry-Gun Incident
The elementary school that was the scene of Josh’s brutally harmless rampage sent students home Friday with a letter describing the incident as if it had actually been serious:
Dear Parents and Guardians:
I am writing to let you know about an incident that occurred this morning in one of our classrooms and encourage you to discuss this matter with your child in a manner you deem most appropriate.
During breakfast this morning, one of our students used food to make inappropriate gestures that disrupted the class. While no physical threats were made and no one [was] harmed, the student had to be removed from the classroom.
* * *
As you are aware, the … Code of Student Conduct and appropriate consequences related to violations of the code are clearly spelled out in the Student Handbook, which was sent home during the first week of school and can be found on our website, http://www.aacps.org….
If your children express that they are troubled by today’s incident, please talk with them and help them share their feelings. Our school counselor is available to meet with any students who have the need to do so next week. In general, please remind them of the importance of making good choices.
Pretty sure that if your children are “troubled” by another kid biting a pastry into something that looks sort of like a gun and waving said pastry around, you have already failed as a parent.
The two-day suspension indicates that the school considered this a “Level 3″ violation, but exactly what part of the Code was in play is not clear. The letter suggests Josh disrupted the class, but the reference to “inappropriate gestures” involving food can only mean he was also charged with a pastry-based-weapons violation. The Code defines “other weapons” as:

Retired military veteran Lt. Col. Ronald G. Marlar received an email from the Obama campaign “Organizing for Action” in which he was rudely encouraged, “You should forward this.” The email contained a video link to the Obama website where Sami Rahamim tells of his father’s murder in a mass shooting that took place in Minneapolis in September 2012. While my heart goes out to Rahamim’s family and I’m sure Lt. Col. Marlar’s does as well, it was the emotional appeal for more gun control legislation that got under the retired veteran’s skin, prompting him to write letter in response in which he said that Barack Obama is “the greatest threat to the US and the world, intentionally or not, since WWII.
Marlar’s service to the United States spans over two decades, including service in Vietnam. He is also reaches out in efforts to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to Israeli Jews and Muslims in America and abroad.
Lt. Col. Marlar’s letter to Obama was also sent to Freedom Outpost and Mr. Marlar graciously gave me permission to present it to the audience.
Marlar points out the differences between his own father and Rahamim’s father. Understand that Rahamim was a Jewish immigrant from Israel whose own parents had left Iran in the 1940s, Reuven started a sign business in the basement of his home in Minneapolis’ quiet, kind of out-of-the-way Bryn Mawr neighborhood. Marlar did not express any resentment against Rahamim’s success or his legal immigration, but spoke of his father.
“My dad died at age 58 working as an exploited union laborer in a plant related to the national defense industry,” he wrote. “He had served in the US Army as an enlisted man during WWII.”
“At the time of my dad’s death due to his work,” Marlar continued, “I was in the US military, a combat veteran of the Southeast Asia War – the quagmire that JFK had gotten us into and LBJ had continued. I served for 21 years on active duty, 38 years total in uniform, fighting first against Communists, then against Islamic jihadists. I ended up partially disabled, missing body parts – thank God none ever visible – as a result of my service to the country.”
Marlar also wrote of his son’s service to our country. “My eldest son served 20 years in the US Armed Forces fighting Islamic jihadists and Socialists-Communists, first in Bosnia and Kosovo – the needless interventions that Clinton had gotten us into. Then my son fought in Iraq, during George W. Bush’s tenure as President, after the Islamists had been decimated along with their Taliban Islamist training camps in Afghanistan.”
He then recounted the oath that he and his son had taken saying that they were “without expiration dates to support and defend the US Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic.”
He also spoke of the fact that both he and his father had served with “some fine Jewish men and women, people of many other races, colors, ethnicities, national origins, creeds and faith beliefs.” He contrasts the former days of the USA being a melting pot to the fragmentation that has occurred “by Obama with his philosophies, policies and actions.”
Then, like the men our country has been known to produce, he then declares the real threat to America and it’s not firearms.
“Barack Hussein Barry Soetoro Obama, his handlers, the henchmen and women in his oppressive, tyrannical, despotic, evil Marixist, Islamic-influenced regime are the greatest threat to the US and the world, intentionally or not, since WWII.”
Marlar’s family has a long history of military service since before the American Revolution. As such, he asks the the following of the Obama campaign, “Has Obama ever served in the US military, in combat? Have you? Did Sami’s father? Do you believe Sami will do so?”
His point was to demonstrate that he and his family actually fought, sweated, bled and gave their lives for the Constitution, including the Second Amendment, which the Obama administration is Hell bent on destroying.
He then blasted “You can fool some of the people some of the time, but not all of the people all of the time.” Your work and this piece in particular is propaganda in the model of Joseph Goebbels. It appeals to emotions not reason, and that is so wrong. We studied and learned how to recognize propaganda in US schools in my school days. You cannot fool me or others.”
Marlar told me “I most certainly do not expect a reply from Obama, his handlers or his henchmen or women…. They are deaf, blind and dumb to any feedback from people like me.”
However, Lt. Col. Marlar is optimistic about dealing with the propaganda coming from the White House. “I hope we can flood the Organizing for Action (OfA) website with our stories about Gun Violence,” he told me to the point that Obama’s handlers, henchmen and women are forced to shut it down. It is nothing but a propaganda tool against the best interests of all US citizens and visitors.
Here’s the video that demanded Lt. Col. Marlar respond, because unlike Barack Obama, Mr. Marlar takes his oath to support and defend the Constitution seriously, including putting his life on the line.
At a recent Washington climate change rally, who is demanding action? Demanding action from whom? What action?
In reality, the diminutive, corporate-media inflated rally in DC was organized by the very corporate-financier special interests that have been wreaking terrible havoc on both the human population and the environment of this planet for decades. They are demanding action from a government that already represents their interests. Their demands are policies, particularly financial tax schemes that they themselves created and are are best positioned to benefit from while making no discernible impact on the very real environmental threats we collectively face.
Image: Rampant CO2, high global temperatures, rising sea levels. A look into the future? No, this is Mesozoic North America 250-65 million years ago. Climate change has happened long before humanity’s emergence, it will happen again, with or without us. The key to preserving what we as humans value, including not only our cities, towns, and countrysides, but also ecosystems and species – is to devise technical, pragmatic solutions to ensure no matter what the climate does, we can not only survive, but thrive.Â
….
It was an exercise in manufacturing consent for policies already long-ago devised and simply waiting for piecemeal implementation.
Yahoo! News’ report, “40,000 People Reported at Climate Change Rally,” mentions 350.org as one of the rally’s organizers and key representatives. Upon 350.org’s “Friends & Allies” page, an extensive list of human rights and environmental racketeers can be found, all either linked, or directly connected to big-oil, big-finance, big-agri, and big-defense.
The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and its “Earth Hour” for instance, includes Fortune 500 corporations (page 24, .pdf) (and here) Walmart, Unilever, Coca-Cola, draconian intellectual property racketeer Christopher Dodd representing the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) as a director, Bank of America, Google, and others. While the WWF claims having big corporations as partners is “good news” for the environment, implying that they are shifting toward environmental responsibility – in reality it is exactly the other way around. Corporations are co-opting genuine concern for the environment to further enrich themselves and to create global frameworks that eliminate indigenous competition over resources they themselves are already exploiting and plan to continue exploiting.
The lack of real, pragmatic solutions, or even an honest scientific discussion on issues like climate change are particularly telling. This collection of organizations falling under the 350.org website have also been key in pushing other establishment agendas, most notably regime change and political subversion worldwide, couching a corporate-fascist warmongering agenda behind liberal concerns for “freedom,” “democracy,” and “human rights.”
Real Environmental Threats
The climate of Earth has always changed throughout its natural history, and many times before the existence of man, has changed so dramatically that it has caused mass extinction events. 65 million years ago, for example, Antarctica was a thriving ecosystem covered in temperate forests inhabited by dinosaurs. The global temperatures were higher, sea levels were higher, and carbon dioxide (CO2) levels were many times higher than they are today. Higher temperatures, sea levels, and CO2 levels made the planet more habitable, not less. This changed however, and to the detriment of many species that are now extinct.
Before the Cretaceous period, there have been many points throughout Earth’s natural history, that were we as humans to travel back, would find uninhabitable. The atmosphere has been in a state of perpetual change, the biology driven by this change has likewise continuously evolved. There is no “norm” in terms of geology, biology, or climate. The only constant is the inevitability of its constant change.
The climate will change with or without us. To ensure the survival of what we value in terms of human society, history, and infrastructure, as well as ecosystems and individual species we desire to preserve, we must come up with something better than “carbon neutrality” implemented by giving bankers yet another derivative to trade, and energy companies a legal framework to maintain monopolies over powering human civilization.
Part of the solution is not only leveraging technology to protect our towns, cities, and countrysides from adverse weather, flooding, and changes in temperature through innovative infrastructure projects, but undermining, decentralizing, and eventually eliminating permanently these corporate monopolies that are demonstrably destroying the environment.
Strange that 350.org wasn’t marching against genetically modified organisms (GMO) and Monsanto’s pursuit of overwriting the planet genetically. Could a planet face a more dire threat than being overwritten genetically, its very essence mutilated by profiteering corporations? Strange that 350.org’s “Friends & Allies” don’t demand an end to profiteering wars around the planet that see tons of depleted uranium, with a half-life of billions of years, being dumped in both human and natural habitats the world over. Strange that 350.org, and “Friends & Allies” like WWF have in fact partnered with Fortune 500 corporations that perpetuate global monopolies, centralized manufacturing and distribution (and profits) that encourage wasteful supply chains, unhealthy socioeconomic trends, incur large amounts of garbage, and require the very petroleum and CO2 producing processes they allegedly were in Washington to oppose.
Indeed, 350.org and partners like the WWF do not represent corporations joining environmentalists, but rather represent environmentalists being co-opted and manipulated by the very special interests committing real harm to this planet.
Don’t Demand Action – Be the ActionÂ
Waving around placards as part of a big-business rally couched behind environmentalism, demanding action from a government big-business already fully owns, simply legitimizes and manufacturers public consent for more of the same. More schemes, more waste, more fraud, more abuse, while the environment continues to unravel and a host of problems both directly and indirectly related continue to grow.
Real solutions generally don’t involve corporations or governments, in fact, as a necessity must exclude them. The marriage between corporate interests and government regulations should be something all of us can agree on, regardless of where we sit on the political or environmental spectrum.
Real solutions involve a real education in science, technology, design, and manufacturing. This empowers people in all levels of society to accurately assess problems and apply local solutions. This, coupled with modern manufacturing technology enables more to be done on a local level, short-circuiting the petroleum intensive logistical chains WWF sponsors like Walmart couldn’t live without.
Organic farming on a local level coupled with local farmers’ markets eliminates entirely the need for Monsanto poison, fertilizers, and genetically modified franken-crops, along with the replacement of the petroleum intensive logistical networks that distribute big-agri’s products. 3D printing, computer-controlled manufacturing, and local hackerspaces that encourage local entrepreneurship accelerate technological development and solutions that allow us to live the lives we wish to lead while doing so more efficiently in terms of energy, waste, and environmental impact.
In fact, when you think about it, almost all of these real solutions involve real community and local action, not placard-waving trips to Washington. These are not solutions that involve policies, taxes, and regulations, but rather technology, education, constructive, pragmatic, technical solutions that not only would make our environment more livable, but make our local economies and communities more viable and self-sufficient. The catch is, and the reason why this isn’t being done, you will notice that none of these activities require WWF sponsors like Walmart, Nike, IBM, Toyota, Bank of America, Coca-Cola, HSBC, Citi, IKEA, Nokia, etc.
We all desire cleaner air, healthier food, safer water, and greener parks. Waiting for a corporate-financier establishment to give it to us, when they themselves are the ones that have denied us of these essentials is the height of both naivety and futility.
Does it make sense then, to see why real problems and their solutions have become the target of hijackers like the corporate conglomeration that is 350.org and the WWF? Does it make sense to see them offering “alternative” centralized, corporate dependent solutions that replace local activism and tangible, technological solutions?
Why travel to Washington D.C. and demand non-solutions to real problems when you can organize locally and begin making this planet livable in very real, tangible, pragmatic, and measurable ways?
Americans have been shamed many times by their elected representatives who cravenly bow to vested interests and betray the American people. But no previous disgraceful behavior can match the public shame brought to Americans by the behavior of the Senate Republicans in the confirmation hearing of Senator Chuck Hagel as Secretary of Defense.
Forty Senate Republicans made it clear that not only do they refuse to put their service to America ahead of their service to Israel, but also that they will not even put their service to America on a par with their service to Israel. To every American’s shame, the Republicans demonstrated for all the world to see that they are wholly owned subsidiaries of the Israel Lobby. (The Israel Lobby is not their only master. They are also owned by other powerful interest groups, such as Wall Street and the Military/Security Complex.)
The most embarrassing behavior of all came from the craven Lindsay Graham, who, while in the act of demonstrating his complete subservience by crawling on his belly before the Israel Lobby, dared Hagel to name one single person in the US Congress who is afraid of the Israel Lobby.
If I had been Hagel, I would have written off the nomination and answered: “You, Senator Graham, and your 40 craven colleagues.”
Indeed, Hagel could have answered: The entire US Congress, including Rand Paul who pretends to be different but isn’t.
The real question is: Who in the Congress is not afraid of the Israel Lobby?
The hatchet job on Hagel is driven by fear of the Israel Lobby.
Perhaps the worst affront Israel’s American representatives ever inflicted on the US military was the coverup of the Israeli air and torpedo boat attack on the USS Liberty in 1967. The Israeli attack failed to sink the Liberty but killed and wounded most of the crew. The survivors were ordered to silence, and it was 12 years before one of them spoke up and revealed what had happened (James Ennes, Assault On The Liberty). Not even Admiral Thomas Moorer, Chief of Naval Operations and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff could get Washington to own up to the facts.
The facts are now well known, but as far as Washington is concerned they are dead letter facts. The entire event has been moved to some parallel universe.
Why are the Senate Republicans out to destroy Hagel for Israel?
The answer is, first, back when Hagel was a US Senator he refused to be intimidated by the Israel Lobby and declared, “I am a US Senator, not an Israeli Senator.” In other words, Hagel did the impermissible. He said he represented US interests, not Israel’s interests. Hagel’s position implies that the interests of the two countries are not identical, which is a heresy.
The second part of the answer is that Hagel doesn’t think that it is a good idea for the US to start a war with Iran or for the US to permit Israel to do so.
But a US war with Iran is what the Israeli government and its neoconservative agents have been trying to impose on the Obama regime. Israel wants to get rid of Iran, because Iran supports Hizbollah in Southern Lebanon, thus preventing Israel from annexing that territory and its water resources, and because Iran supports Hamas, the only Palestinian organization that tries to oppose Israel’s total theft of Palestine, although Iran has never supplied Hamas with effective weapons.
The two organizations that oppose Israel’s territorial expansion, Hizbollah and Hamas, represent large numbers of Arab peoples. Nevertheless, both are declared, on Israel’s orders, to be “terrorist organizations” by the servile US Department of State, which in all reality should be called the Israeli Department of State, as it never puts US interests before Israel’s.
In other words, Hagel did not grovel. He did not say how much he loved Israel and how it would be his great honor to sacrifice all other interests to Israel’s, how he has waited his entire life for the chance to serve Israel as the US Secretary of Defense.
Hagel is not an opponent of Israel. He merely said, “First, I am an American.” His lack of craven subservience is unacceptable to the Israel Lobby, which has branded him an “anti-semite.”
Lindsay Graham, in contrast, has what it takes to be Israel’s perfect choice for US Secretary of Defense.
Graham will go out of his way to please the Israel Lobby. He will pull out all stops and behave with maximum servility to a foreign power in his effort to embarrass the President of the United States and his nominee, a war veteran and former US Senator who simply thinks that the US Congress and the executive branch should put American interests first.
Senate Majority Leader Reid has used Senate rules to keep Hagel’s nomination alive.
If Lindsay Graham succeeds in doing the Israel Lobby’s dirty work, he will have handed a defeat of the US President to the Israeli Prime Minister, who has demeaned the President of the United States for not doing Israel’s bidding and attacking Iran.
Americans are a colonized people. Their government represents the colonizing powers: Wall Street, the Israel Lobby, the Military/Security Complex, Agribusiness, Pharmaceuticals, Energy, Mining, and Timber interests.
Two elected representatives who tried to represent the American people–Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich–found representative government to be an inhospitable place for those few who attempt to represent the interests of the American people.
Like Ron Paul, Dennis Kucinich, and Gerald Celente, I stand with our Founding Fathers who opposed America’s entanglement in foreign wars. In an effort to prevent entanglements, the Founding Fathers gave the power to declare war to Congress. Over the years Congress has gradually ceded this power to the President to the extent that it no longer exists as a power of Congress. The President can start a war anywhere at any time simply by declaring that the war is not a war but a “time-limited, scope-limited, kinetic military action.” Or he can use some other nonsensical collection of words.
In the first few years of the 21st century, the executive branch has invaded two countries, violated the sovereignty of five others with military operations, and has established military bases in Africa in order to counteract China’s economic penetration of the continent and to secure the resources for US and European corporations, thus enlarging the prospects for future wars. If the Republicans succeed in blocking Hagel’s confirmation, the prospect of war with Iran will be boosted.
By abdicating its war power, Congress lost its control of the purse. As the executive branch withholds more and more information from Congressional oversight committees, Congress is becoming increasingly powerless. As Washington’s war debts mount, Washington’s attack on the social safety net will become more intense. Governmental institutions that provide services to Americans will wither as more tax revenues are directed to the coffers of special interests and foreign entanglements.
The tenuous connection between the US government and the interests of citizens is on its way to being severed entirely.

You know establishment liberals are desperate when they start throwing around the race card to defend their attacks on the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
On Thursday, that’s exactly what former D.C. cop and MSNBC script reader Chris Matthews did – he called the NRA’s Wayne LaPierre a racist for daring to defend the god-given natural right of self-defense.
“Hurricanes. Tornadoes. Riots. Terrorists. Gangs. Lone criminals,” LaPierre wrote for the Daily Caller on Wednesday. “These are perils we are sure to face – not just maybe. It’s not paranoia to buy a gun. It’s survival. It’s responsible behavior, and it’s time we encourage law-abiding Americans to do just that.”
He also wrote that “the American people clearly see the daunting forces we will undoubtedly face: terrorists, crime, drug gangs, the possibility of Euro-style debt riots, civil unrest or natural disaster.”
Unfortunately, the NRA boss discounted the primary reason there is a Second Amendment and safely framed his argument within parameters defined by the state.
“Gun owners are not buying firearms because they anticipate a confrontation with the government. Rather, we anticipate confrontations where the government isn’t there—or simply doesn’t show up in time,” he wrote.
In fact, many Americans are buying guns fully expecting to one day fight government tyranny. As Andrew Napolitano has pointed out, the Second Amendment was written to protect the right to shoot tyrants, not skeet shoot (a reference to Obama’s ridiculous claim – supposedly backed up by a photo – that he likes to go up to Camp David and skeet shoot).
Self-defense has nothing to do with the Bill of Rights. John Locke pointed this out when he declared the right to self-defense is the first law of nature.
One mother who has a son in a California middle school says iPads shouldn’t be used to replace traditional text books.
The school district says – the principal – told me that if my son could not learn how to use the iPad appropriately, he would have to go to a different school district.
We pay $12,000 a year in taxes.
I’m in the 54% tax bracket in this state, including a retroactive tax for 2012.
I give the recommended donation to the school foundation, which I have raised funds for.
…So it’s not like I am just complaining. I’m trying to help here the best that I can.

Students think Google is an acceptable reference to put in a paper. So, we’re going downhill for thinking and writing abilities very quickly.
—
They are expanding the use to all the other grades. Everyone in our middle school already has an iPad, which were very expensive. And, when it fell on the floor and broke, that was another $290 because that was not covered under the insurance plan that was purchased through the school.
I’m wondering how much money the school is getting from Apple to have all the parents buy these almost $600 devices for their children.
