World renowned cyclist and seven-time Tour de France victor Lance Armstrong has been banned for life by the United States Anti Doping Agency.
Fox Sports Austin Texas reports that Armstrong has dropped the fight against the USADA over doping charges.
The agency will move to strip Armstrong of his Tour de France titles immediately and will institute a life time ban against one of the world’s most recognized and winningest athletes on Friday.
Armstrong called the USADA’s actions an “unconstitutional witch hunt.”
But he was no longer prepared to defend himself against the allegations that he illegally used drugs to improve his competitive performance. “There comes a point in every man’s life when he has to say, enough is enough. For me, that time is now,” he said.

Another American on drugs is big surprise to me!!! All you people are drug addict in America!!! You are given everything and you throw it all away with drugs!! STUPID AMERICANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@George,
you are delusional. I grew up with nothing, studied hard, put myself through college and got a great job! STFU!! You have no idea how hard most Americans work. I weight-train five to six times a week religiously and have never, ever taken performance enhancing drugs. I eat a good diet, that’s it. You are just a jealous wanna be.
Speak for yourself Georgie boy. Armstrong has been tested repeatedly and no evidence exists to convict him. It is a Government witch hunt as he says. He is a successful white male, and that makes him a target in America nowadays. The USADA is as corrupt as the Obama administration.
Lance Armstrong is one of the GREATEST ATHLETES of all time. Oh, yeah, and because of the FRAUDULENT ‘War on Drugs’ (which, by the way, are brought into the country by the CIA – which serves the TBTF Central Bankers, who OWN Congress, and who launder the drug money, in offshore facilities), and because steroids, etc. are considered ‘illegal’ drugs, and very likely because Lance Armstrong is White, and successful, he becomes the target of the witch-hunt. It’s another example, of Central Banker propaganda (like they can demonize Lance Armstrong via their MSM media, by false accusations, and stripping him of his title, in a FRAUDULENT “public-shaming” display), and a useless agency attempting to justify its existence, by enforcing the fraudulent policy – like your local cop shops do.
Lol, that’s our government again…(O_O) making new friends where ever they go! Only stupid Americans still believe that the War-on-Drugs was designed to help keep our streets & children safe! Everyone already knows that it was designed back in the 70′s by that crook Nixon to take advantage of the then current drug era in an attempt to shake down the American tax payers to pay to have them imprisoned under the fake disguise of public safety! Until they committed a REAL CRIME, almost all could have gotten away with just rehab & been faaaar better off for it! We all already know that it’s their way of turning us all into just a number & strips us of our constitutional rights & that it’s their preordained intent to do so. Geez…(O_O) our government must think we’re all just a bunch of dumb sheeple! I still love Armstrong & they can’t make me think that he’s a criminal, or cause me to lose one ounce of respect for the man!
In 1997 Armstrong founded the LiveSTRONG foundation which has raised almost $500 million for cancer research by launching a fashion craze with its yellow LiveSTRONG bracelets. Created in 2000, the USADA is a non-profit, non-governmental organization recognized by Congress, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and various other international sporting federations as the official national anti-doping agency of the United States. The USADA has the authority to execute a national anti-doping program that includes testing athletes and adjudicating offenses. Armstrong responded by filing suit against the USADA in Texas, challenging the USADA jurisdiction in the case and claiming that the USADA arbitration process violated his Sixth Amendment due process rights. Armstrong was backed in his challenge by the U.S. and International cycling unions.
On Monday, Judge Sam Sparks dismissed Armstrong’s suit, claiming that the due process charges we without merit and that the case was best settled “through the well-established system of international arbitration.”. Sparks also questioned the motives of the USADA in investigating the retired former champion and whether or not the investigation helped the cause of anti-doping in sports. According to USADA procedures, a charged athlete may either accept the charges and proposed sanctions or take the case to arbitration. By declining to take his case to arbitration, Armstrong accepted the charges and the proposed sanctions which include the forfeiture of all titles and earnings from 1998-2011 and a lifetime ban from international competitions. Despite his claims of innocence, both USADA and WADA officials have used Armstrong’s decision as an indication of merits of the charges. Armstrong called the USADA’s investigation an “unconstitutional witch hunt” and said he would “no longer address this issue, regardless of the circumstances.” Armstrong cited the toll the investigation had taken on his family and his LiveSTRONG foundation as the reason for his decision. (here’s my source of information in it’s entirety- http://blog.constitutioncenter.org/2012/08/armstrong-cites-unconstitutional-witch-hunt-in-usada-fight/
(O_O)…Opps, I forgot this most important part! “Federal prosecutors announced that they had closed their investigation without filing charges against Armstrong, citing insufficient evidence in the case.”
All this is because he is a Christian, White male!
In reply to SKIPS comment. Lance Armstrong is not a christian. He is non religious, probably an atheist. Read Tyler Hamilton’s (his former teammate) book that came out in September 2012, “The Secret Race” Inside the Hidden World of the Tour de France: Doping, Cover-ups, and Winning at all Costs. Lance was won of the biggest cheats in cycling. Funny how Lance was never caught, but the riders around him got busted for doping, and yet he still beat them claiming he was clean. If you have to cheat to win, it’s not fair to the guys who raced clean. I was a big Lance fan. Watched him win all seven tours.
