Finally, even some of the most staunchly conservative people in the world – CLERGY – get it! There is a natural remedy for nearly everything that ails us.

Scientists at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore have enlisted two dozen religious leaders from a wide range of denominations, to participate in a study in which they will be given two powerful doses of psilocybin, the active ingredient in magic mushrooms.

Joe discusses the study in this News Shot.

this could be a very bad idea.

Could also turn out to be a wonderful idea.

Mysticism and Psychedelics have a long history of interaction.

      • It is a shame that they aren’t looking for a large number of study participants to improve the statistical value of the data, if not give people like me the opportunity to trip on some primo shroom:-)

I’ve been wanting to try shrooms since I was 16, to no avail.

It’s always the same thing, too – either I have the money to purchase them, or I know where to find them – but never both at the same time :/

          • Since neither of us ever have tried them, we’d make perfect study subjects, wouldn’t we?:-)

          • Which is probably why they’d never accept us into a study:-)

            Unfortunately, probably also true.

to achieve the prime experience you need to do a little field research and go pick your own.

      • g.johnon

oh i wholly concur with that sentiment; but mix it in with a bunch of clerics who have made a life out of living lies, the stark reality of their experience could easily send such research back to the stone age.
